ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਰਾਗੁ ਗੋਂਡ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਚਉਪਦੇ ਘਰੁ ੨ रागु गोंड महला ५ चउपदे घरु २ Rāg gond mėhlā 5 cẖa▫upḏe gẖar 2 Raag Gond, Fifth Mehl, Chau-Padas, Second House: ਮਾਟੀ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਖੀ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ॥ माटी महि जोति रखी निवाजि ॥ Mātī mėh joṯ rakẖī nivāj. and infused His Light into the dust; ਬਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਭੋਜਨ ਭੋਗਾਇ ॥ बरतन कउ सभु किछु भोजन भोगाइ ॥ Barṯan ka▫o sabẖ kicẖẖ bẖojan bẖogā▫e. He exalted you and gave you everything to use, and food to eat and enjoy - ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੀਏ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜਿ ॥ जीअ प्रान कीए जिनि साजि ॥ Jī▫a parān kī▫e jin sāj. He fashioned the soul and the breath of life, ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਜਿ ਮੂੜੇ ਕਤ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ सो प्रभु तजि मूड़े कत जाइ ॥१॥ So parabẖ ṯaj mūṛe kaṯ jā▫e. ||1|| how can you forsake that God, you fool! Where else will you go? ||1|| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਸੇਵ ॥ पारब्रहम की लागउ सेव ॥ Pārbarahm kī lāga▫o sev. Commit yourself to the service of the Transcendent Lord. ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਝੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुर ते सुझै निरंजन देव ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur ṯe sujẖai niranjan ḏev. ||1|| rahā▫o. Through the Guru, one understands the Immaculate, Divine Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਜਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ जा की गति मिति कही न जाइ ॥ Jā kī gaṯ miṯ kahī na jā▫e. His state and condition cannot be described. ਓਪਤਿ ਪਰਲਉ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਝਾਰ ॥ ओपति परलउ निमख मझार ॥ Opaṯ parla▫o nimakẖ majẖār. He creates and destroys in an instant; ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਰੰਗ ਅਨਿਕ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥ जिनि कीए रंग अनिक परकार ॥ Jin kī▫e rang anik parkār. He created plays and dramas of all sorts; ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥ सो प्रभु मन मेरे सदा धिआइ ॥२॥ So parabẖ man mere saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫e. ||2|| Meditate forever on that God, O my mind. ||2|| ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਧਨੀ ॥ आइ न जावै निहचलु धनी ॥ Ā▫e na jāvai nihcẖal ḏẖanī. The unchanging Lord does not come or go. ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਨਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਕੇਤਕ ਗਨੀ ॥ बेअंत गुना ता के केतक गनी ॥ Be▫anṯ gunā ṯā ke keṯak ganī. His Glorious Virtues are infinite; how many of them can I count? ਲਾਲ ਨਾਮ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ लाल नाम जा कै भरे भंडार ॥ Lāl nām jā kai bẖare bẖandār. His treasure is overflowing with the rubies of the Name. ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਧਾਰ ॥੩॥ सगल घटा देवै आधार ॥३॥ Sagal gẖatā ḏevai āḏẖār. ||3|| He gives Support to all hearts. ||3|| ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਹੈ ਨਾਉ ॥ सति पुरखु जा को है नाउ ॥ Saṯ purakẖ jā ko hai nā▫o. The Name is the True Primal Being; ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਘ ਨਿਮਖ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਉ ॥ मिटहि कोटि अघ निमख जसु गाउ ॥ Mitėh kot agẖ nimakẖ jas gā▫o. millions of sins are washed away in an instant, singing His Praises. ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਿਤ ਚੀਤ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥ प्रान अधार नानक हित चीत ॥४॥१॥३॥ Parān aḏẖār Nānak hiṯ cẖīṯ. ||4||1||3|| He is the Support of the breath of life; O Nanak, He is love, He is consciousness. ||4||1||3|| ਬਾਲ ਸਖਾਈ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ॥ बाल सखाई भगतन को मीत ॥ Bāl sakẖā▫ī bẖagṯan ko mīṯ. The Lord God is your best friend, your playmate from earliest childhood.
