ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤੀ ਧੁਰਹੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੁਝਿ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥ सतिगुर की वडिआई सतिगुरि दिती धुरहु हुकमु बुझि नीसाणु ॥ Saṯgur kī vadi▫ā▫ī saṯgur ḏiṯī ḏẖarahu hukam bujẖ nīsāṇ. The glorious greatness of the True Guru was bestowed by the True Guru; He understood this as the Insignia, the Mark of the Primal Lord's Will. ਪੁਤੀ ਭਾਤੀਈ ਜਾਵਾਈ ਸਕੀ ਅਗਹੁ ਪਿਛਹੁ ਟੋਲਿ ਡਿਠਾ ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ पुती भातीई जावाई सकी अगहु पिछहु टोलि डिठा लाहिओनु सभना का अभिमानु ॥ Puṯī bẖāṯī▫ī jāvā▫ī sakī agahu picẖẖahu tol diṯẖā lāhi▫on sabẖnā kā abẖimān. He tested His sons, nephews, sons-in-law and relatives, and subdued the egotistical pride of them all. ਜਿਥੈ ਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਤਿਥੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਬਖਸਿਓਸੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਹਾਨੁ ॥ जिथै को वेखै तिथै मेरा सतिगुरू हरि बखसिओसु सभु जहानु ॥ Jithai ko vekẖai ṯithai merā saṯgurū har bakẖsi▫os sabẖ jahān. Wherever anyone looks, my True Guru is there; the Lord blessed Him with the whole world. ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਨੇ ਸੁ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਸਿਝੈ ਜਿ ਵੇਮੁਖੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਭਰਿਸਟ ਥਾਨੁ ॥ जि सतिगुर नो मिलि मंने सु हलति पलति सिझै जि वेमुखु होवै सु फिरै भरिसट थानु ॥ Jė saṯgur no mil manne so halaṯ palaṯ sijẖai jė vaimukẖ hovai so firai bẖarisat thān. One who meets with, and believes in the True Guru, is embellished here and hereafter. Whoever turns his back on the Guru and becomes baymukh, shall wander in cursed and evil places. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਵਲਿ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਨੁ ॥ जन नानक कै वलि होआ मेरा सुआमी हरि सजण पुरखु सुजानु ॥ Jan Nānak kai val ho▫ā merā su▫āmī har sajaṇ purakẖ sujān. My Lord and Master is on the side of servant Nanak. The All-powerful and All-knowing Lord God is my Best Friend. ਪਉਦੀ ਭਿਤਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਸਭਿ ਆਇ ਪਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪੈਰੀ ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਿਅਹੁ ਮਨਹੁ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥੧੦॥ पउदी भिति देखि कै सभि आइ पए सतिगुर की पैरी लाहिओनु सभना किअहु मनहु गुमानु ॥१०॥ Pa▫uḏī bẖiṯ ḏekẖ kai sabẖ ā▫e pa▫e saṯgur kī pairī lāhi▫on sabẖnā ki▫ahu manhu gumān. ||10|| Seeing the food being distributed, everyone came and fell at the feet of the True Guru, who cleansed the minds of all of their egotistical pride. ||10||
