ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵਤ ਹੇ ॥ बिनु हरि कामि न आवत हे ॥ Bin har kām na āvaṯ he. Without the Lord, nothing is of any use. ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ बिलावलु महला ५ ॥ Bilāval mėhlā 5. Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl: ਜਾ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਚਿ ਮਾਚਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਲਾਗੇ ਓਹ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਮੋਹਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जा सिउ राचि माचि तुम्ह लागे ओह मोहनी मोहावत हे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jā si▫o rācẖ mācẖ ṯumĥ lāge oh mohnī mohāvaṯ he. ||1|| rahā▫o. You are totally attached to that Enticer Maya; she is enticing you. ||1||Pause|| ਕਨਿਕ ਕਾਮਿਨੀ ਸੇਜ ਸੋਹਨੀ ਛੋਡਿ ਖਿਨੈ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥ कनिक कामिनी सेज सोहनी छोडि खिनै महि जावत हे ॥ Kanik kāminī sej sohnī cẖẖod kẖinai mėh jāvaṯ he. You shall have to leave behind your gold, your woman and your beautiful bed; you shall have to depart in an instant. ਉਰਝਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਓ ਬਿਖੈ ਠਗਉਰੀ ਖਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥੧॥ उरझि रहिओ इंद्री रस प्रेरिओ बिखै ठगउरी खावत हे ॥१॥ Urajẖ rahi▫o inḏrī ras pareri▫o bikẖai ṯẖag▫urī kẖāvaṯ he. ||1|| You are entangled in the lures of sexual pleasures, and you are eating poisonous drugs. ||1|| ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਕੋ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਓ ਪਾਵਕੁ ਤਲੈ ਜਰਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥ त्रिण को मंदरु साजि सवारिओ पावकु तलै जरावत हे ॥ Ŧariṇ ko manḏar sāj savāri▫o pāvak ṯalai jarāvaṯ he. You have built and adorned a palace of straw, and under it, you light a fire. ਐਸੇ ਗੜ ਮਹਿ ਐਠਿ ਹਠੀਲੋ ਫੂਲਿ ਫੂਲਿ ਕਿਆ ਪਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥੨॥ ऐसे गड़ महि ऐठि हठीलो फूलि फूलि किआ पावत हे ॥२॥ Aise gaṛ mėh aiṯẖ haṯẖīlo fūl fūl ki▫ā pāvaṯ he. ||2|| Sitting all puffed-up in such a castle, you stubborn-minded fool, what do you think you will gain? ||2|| ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਮੂਡ ਪਰਿ ਠਾਢੇ ਕੇਸ ਗਹੇ ਫੇਰਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥ पंच दूत मूड परि ठाढे केस गहे फेरावत हे ॥ Pancẖ ḏūṯ mūd par ṯẖādẖe kes gahe ferāvaṯ he. The five thieves stand over your head and seize you. Grabbing you by your hair, they will drive you on. ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਹਿ ਅੰਧ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੋਇ ਰਹਿਓ ਮਦ ਮਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥੩॥ द्रिसटि न आवहि अंध अगिआनी सोइ रहिओ मद मावत हे ॥३॥ Ḏarisat na āvahi anḏẖ agi▫ānī so▫e rahi▫o maḏ māvaṯ he. ||3|| You do not see them, you blind and ignorant fool; intoxicated with ego, you just keep sleeping. ||3|| ਜਾਲੁ ਪਸਾਰਿ ਚੋਗ ਬਿਸਥਾਰੀ ਪੰਖੀ ਜਿਉ ਫਾਹਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥ जालु पसारि चोग बिसथारी पंखी जिउ फाहावत हे ॥ Jāl pasār cẖog bisthārī pankẖī ji▫o fāhāvaṯ he. The net has been spread out, and the bait has been scattered; like a bird, you are being trapped. ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਨ ਕਉ ਮੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਧਿਆਵਤ ਹੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੮੮॥ कहु नानक बंधन काटन कउ मै सतिगुरु पुरखु धिआवत हे ॥४॥२॥८८॥ Kaho Nānak banḏẖan kātan ka▫o mai saṯgur purakẖ ḏẖi▫āvaṯ he. ||4||2||88|| Says Nanak, my bonds have been broken; I meditate on the True Guru, the Primal Being. ||4||2||88|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਮੋਲੀ ॥ हरि हरि नामु अपार अमोली ॥ Har har nām apār amolī. The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is infinite and priceless. ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਿਆਰੋ ਮਨਹਿ ਅਧਾਰੋ ਚੀਤਿ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਜੈਸੇ ਪਾਨ ਤੰਬੋਲੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ प्रान पिआरो मनहि अधारो चीति चितवउ जैसे पान त्मबोली ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Parān pi▫āro manėh aḏẖāro cẖīṯ cẖiṯva▫o jaise pān ṯambolī. ||1|| rahā▫o. It is the Beloved of my breath of life, and the Support of my mind; I remember it, as the betel leaf chewer remembers the betel leaf. ||1||Pause||
