ਸੋਈ ਮਲੀਨੁ ਦੀਨੁ ਹੀਨੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਿਸਰਾਨਾ ॥ सोई मलीनु दीनु हीनु जिसु प्रभु बिसराना ॥ So▫ee maleen ḋeen heen jis parabʰ bisraanaa. One who forgets God is filthy, poor and low. ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ बिलावलु महला ५ ॥ Bilaaval mėhlaa 5. Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl: ਦੂਖੁ ਤਦੇ ਜਦਿ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ॥ दूखु तदे जदि वीसरै सुखु प्रभ चिति आए ॥ Ḋookʰ ṫaḋé jaḋ veesræ sukʰ parabʰ chiṫ aa▫é. Pain comes, when one forgets Him. Peace comes when one remembers God. ਕਰਨੈਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਬੂਝਈ ਆਪੁ ਗਨੈ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ करनैहारु न बूझई आपु गनै बिगाना ॥१॥ Karnæhaar na boojʰ▫ee aap ganæ bigaanaa. ||1|| The fool does not understand the Creator Lord; instead, he thinks that he himself is the doer. ||1|| ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਏਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ संतन कै आनंदु एहु नित हरि गुण गाए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Sanṫan kæ aananḋ éhu niṫ har guṇ gaa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. This is the way the Saints are in bliss - they continually sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਨੀਚਾ ਕਰੈ ਨੀਚ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪੈ ॥ ऊचे ते नीचा करै नीच खिन महि थापै ॥ Ooché ṫé neechaa karæ neech kʰin mėh ṫʰaapæ. The high, He makes low, and the low, he elevates in an instant. ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪਰਤਾਪੈ ॥੨॥ कीमति कही न जाईऐ ठाकुर परतापै ॥२॥ Keemaṫ kahee na jaa▫ee▫æ tʰaakur parṫaapæ. ||2|| The value of the glory of our Lord and Master cannot be estimated. ||2|| ਪੇਖਤ ਲੀਲਾ ਰੰਗ ਰੂਪ ਚਲਨੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਆਇਆ ॥ पेखत लीला रंग रूप चलनै दिनु आइआ ॥ Pékʰaṫ leelaa rang roop chalnæ ḋin aa▫i▫aa. While he gazes upon beautiful dramas and plays, the day of his departure dawns. ਸੁਪਨੇ ਕਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਭਇਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਲਿਆ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ सुपने का सुपना भइआ संगि चलिआ कमाइआ ॥३॥ Supné kaa supnaa bʰa▫i▫aa sang chali▫aa kamaa▫i▫aa. ||3|| The dream becomes the dream, and his actions do not go along with him. ||3|| ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥ करण कारण समरथ प्रभ तेरी सरणाई ॥ Karaṇ kaaraṇ samraṫʰ parabʰ ṫéree sarṇaa▫ee. God is All-powerful, the Cause of all causes; I seek Your Sanctuary. ਹਰਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਪੈ ਸਦ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੪॥੨੦॥੫੦॥ हरि दिनसु रैणि नानकु जपै सद सद बलि जाई ॥४॥२०॥५०॥ Har ḋinas ræṇ Naanak japæ saḋ saḋ bal jaa▫ee. ||4||20||50|| Day and night, Nanak meditates on the Lord; forever and ever he is a sacrifice. ||4||20||50||
