ਅਤੁਲੁ ਕਿਉ ਤੋਲਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥ अतुलु किउ तोलिआ जाइ ॥ Aṫul ki▫o ṫoli▫aa jaa▫é. How can the un-weighable be weighed? ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ बिलावलु महला ३ ॥ Bilaaval mėhlaa 3. Bilaaval, Third Mehl: ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥ दूजा होइ त सोझी पाइ ॥ Ḋoojaa ho▫é ṫa sojʰee paa▫é. If there is anyone else as great, then he alone could understand the Lord. ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥ तिस ते दूजा नाही कोइ ॥ Ṫis ṫé ḋoojaa naahee ko▫é. there is none other than Him. ਤਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਕੂ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ तिस दी कीमति किकू होइ ॥१॥ Ṫis ḋee keemaṫ kikoo ho▫é. ||1|| How can His value be estimated? ||1|| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥ गुर परसादि वसै मनि आइ ॥ Gur parsaaḋ vasæ man aa▫é. By Guru’s Grace, He comes to dwell in the mind. ਤਾ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ता को जाणै दुबिधा जाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ṫaa ko jaaṇæ ḋubiḋʰaa jaa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. One comes to know Him, when duality departs. ||1||Pause|| ਆਪਿ ਸਰਾਫੁ ਕਸਵਟੀ ਲਾਏ ॥ आपि सराफु कसवटी लाए ॥ Aap saraaf kasvatee laa▫é. He Himself is the Assayer, applying the touch-stone to test it. ਆਪੇ ਪਰਖੇ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਏ ॥ आपे परखे आपि चलाए ॥ Aapé parkʰé aap chalaa▫é. He Himself analyzes the coin, and He Himself approves it as currency. ਆਪੇ ਤੋਲੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ आपे तोले पूरा होइ ॥ Aapé ṫolé pooraa ho▫é. He Himself weighs it perfectly. ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੇਲੇ ਸੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ जिस नो मेले सु निरमलु होइ ॥ Jis no mélé so nirmal ho▫é. He alone becomes pure and immaculate, who is united with the Lord. ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ॥ माइआ का रूपु सभु तिस ते होइ ॥ Maa▫i▫aa kaa roop sabʰ ṫis ṫé ho▫é. All the forms of Maya emanate from Him. ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥ आपे जाणै एको सोइ ॥२॥ Aapé jaaṇæ éko so▫é. ||2|| He alone knows; He is the One and Only Lord. ||2|| ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਲਾਏ ਲਗੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਇ ॥ जिस नो लाए लगै तिसु आइ ॥ Jis no laa▫é lagæ ṫis aa▫é. He alone is attached, whom the Lord attaches. ਸਭੁ ਸਚੁ ਦਿਖਾਲੇ ਤਾ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥ सभु सचु दिखाले ता सचि समाइ ॥३॥ Sabʰ sach ḋikʰaalé ṫaa sach samaa▫é. ||3|| All Truth is revealed to him, and then, he merges in the True Lord. ||3|| ਆਪੇ ਲਿਵ ਧਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ॥ आपे लिव धातु है आपे ॥ Aapé liv ḋʰaaṫ hæ aapé. He Himself leads the mortals to focus on Him, and He Himself causes them to chase after Maya. ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਪੇ ॥ आपि बुझाए आपे जापे ॥ Aap bujʰaa▫é aapé jaapé. He Himself imparts understanding, and He reveals Himself. ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ॥ आपे सतिगुरु सबदु है आपे ॥ Aapé saṫgur sabaḋ hæ aapé. He Himself is the True Guru, and He Himself is the Word of the Shabad. ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਆਪੇ ॥੪॥੨॥ नानक आखि सुणाए आपे ॥४॥२॥ Naanak aakʰ suṇaa▫é aapé. ||4||2|| O Nanak! He Himself speaks and teaches. ||4||2||
