ਏਕੁ ਕੋਟੁ ਪੰਚ ਸਿਕਦਾਰਾ ਪੰਚੇ ਮਾਗਹਿ ਹਾਲਾ ॥ एकु कोटु पंच सिकदारा पंचे मागहि हाला ॥ Ėk kot pancẖ sikḏārā pancẖe māgėh hālā. In the one fortress of the body, there are five rulers, and all five demand payment of taxes. ਸੂਹੀ ਲਲਿਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ॥ सूही ललित कबीर जीउ ॥ Sūhī laliṯ Kabīr jī▫o. Soohee, Lalit, Kabeer Jee: ਜਿਮੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੈ ਕਿਸੀ ਕੀ ਬੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਦੇਨੁ ਦੁਖਾਲਾ ॥੧॥ जिमी नाही मै किसी की बोई ऐसा देनु दुखाला ॥१॥ Jimī nāhī mai kisī kī bo▫ī aisā ḏen ḏukẖālā. ||1|| I have not farmed anyone's land, so such payment is difficult for me to pay. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਗਾ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਨੀਤਿ ਡਸੈ ਪਟਵਾਰੀ ॥ हरि के लोगा मो कउ नीति डसै पटवारी ॥ Har ke logā mo ka▫o nīṯ dasai patvārī. O people of the Lord, the tax-collector is constantly torturing me! ਊਪਰਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਕਰਿ ਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਹਉ ਲੀਆ ਉਬਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ऊपरि भुजा करि मै गुर पहि पुकारिआ तिनि हउ लीआ उबारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ūpar bẖujā kar mai gur pėh pukāri▫ā ṯin ha▫o lī▫ā ubārī. ||1|| rahā▫o. Raising my arms up, I complained to my Guru, and He has saved me. ||1||Pause|| ਨਉ ਡਾਡੀ ਦਸ ਮੁੰਸਫ ਧਾਵਹਿ ਰਈਅਤਿ ਬਸਨ ਨ ਦੇਹੀ ॥ नउ डाडी दस मुंसफ धावहि रईअति बसन न देही ॥ Na▫o dādī ḏas munsaf ḏẖāvėh ra▫ī▫aṯ basan na ḏehī. The nine tax-assessors and the ten magistrates go out; they do not allow their subjects to live in peace. ਡੋਰੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਾਪਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਸਟਾਲਾ ਲੇਹੀ ॥੨॥ डोरी पूरी मापहि नाही बहु बिसटाला लेही ॥२॥ Dorī pūrī māpėh nāhī baho bistālā lehī. ||2|| They do not measure with a full tape, and they take huge amounts in bribes. ||2|| ਬਹਤਰਿ ਘਰ ਇਕੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਉਨਿ ਦੀਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਿਖਾਈ ॥ बहतरि घर इकु पुरखु समाइआ उनि दीआ नामु लिखाई ॥ Bahṯar gẖar ik purakẖ samā▫i▫ā un ḏī▫ā nām likẖā▫ī. The One Lord is contained in the seventy-two chambers of the body, and He has written off my account. ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕਾ ਦਫਤਰੁ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਿਜਮ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥੩॥ धरम राइ का दफतरु सोधिआ बाकी रिजम न काई ॥३॥ Ḏẖaram rā▫e kā ḏafṯar soḏẖi▫ā bākī rijam na kā▫ī. ||3|| The records of the Righteous Judge of Dharma have been searched, and I owe absolutely nothing. ||3|| ਸੰਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਤਿ ਕੋਈ ਨਿੰਦਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਰਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਏਕੋੁ ॥ संता कउ मति कोई निंदहु संत रामु है एको ॥ Sanṯā ka▫o maṯ ko▫ī ninḏahu sanṯ rām hai eko. Let no one slander the Saints, because the Saints and the Lord are as one. ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਮੈ ਸੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ਬਿਬੇਕੋੁ ॥੪॥੫॥ कहु कबीर मै सो गुरु पाइआ जा का नाउ बिबेको ॥४॥५॥ Kaho Kabīr mai so gur pā▫i▫ā jā kā nā▫o bibeko. ||4||5|| Says Kabeer, I have found that Guru, whose Name is Clear Understanding. ||4||5|| ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
