ਸੂਹੈ ਵੇਸਿ ਦੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਪਰ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਣ ਜਾਇ ॥ सूहै वेसि दोहागणी पर पिरु रावण जाइ ॥ Soohæ vés ḋuhaagaṇee par pir raavaṇ jaa▫é. In her red robes, the discarded bride goes out, seeking enjoyment with another’s husband. ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ सलोकु मः ३ ॥ Salok mėhlaa 3. Shalok, Third Mehl: ਮਿਠਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਖਾਇਆ ਬਹੁ ਸਾਦਹੁ ਵਧਿਆ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ मिठा करि कै खाइआ बहु सादहु वधिआ रोगु ॥ Mitʰaa kar kæ kʰaa▫i▫aa baho saaḋahu vaḋʰi▫aa rog. She finds it sweet, and eats it up; her excessive sensuality only makes her disease worse. ਪਿਰੁ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਘਰਿ ਆਪਣੈ ਮੋਹੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥ पिरु छोडिआ घरि आपणै मोही दूजै भाइ ॥ Pir chʰodi▫aa gʰar aapṇæ mohee ḋoojæ bʰaa▫é. She leaves the husband of her own home, enticed by her love of duality. ਸੁਧੁ ਭਤਾਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਲਗਾ ਜਾਇ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ॥ सुधु भतारु हरि छोडिआ फिरि लगा जाइ विजोगु ॥ Suḋʰ bʰaṫaar har chʰodi▫aa fir lagaa jaa▫é vijog. She forsakes the Lord, her sublime Husband, and then later, she suffers the pain of separation from Him. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਪਲਟਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਾਜਿ ਸੀਗਾਰਿ ॥ गुरमुखि होवै सु पलटिआ हरि राती साजि सीगारि ॥ Gurmukʰ hovæ so palti▫aa har raaṫee saaj seegaar. But she who becomes Gurmukh, turns away from corruption and adorns herself, attuned to the Love of the Lord. ਸਹਜਿ ਸਚੁ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ सहजि सचु पिरु राविआ हरि नामा उर धारि ॥ Sahj sach pir raavi▫aa har naamaa ur ḋʰaar. She enjoys her celestial Husband Lord, and enshrines the Lord’s Name within her heart. ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਸੋੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਆਪਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥ आगिआकारी सदा सुोहागणि आपि मेली करतारि ॥ Aagi▫aakaaree saḋaa sohagaṇ aap mélee karṫaar. She is humble and obedient; she is His virtuous bride forever; the Creator unites her with Himself. ਨਾਨਕ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੋੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ नानक पिरु पाइआ हरि साचा सदा सुोहागणि नारि ॥१॥ Naanak pir paa▫i▫aa har saachaa saḋaa sohagaṇ naar. ||1|| O Nanak! She who has obtained the True Lord as her husband, is a happy soul-bride forever. ||1||
