ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਰਾਗੁ ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ਛੰਤ
रागु सूही महला ५ छंत
Rāg sūhī mėhlā 5 cẖẖanṯ
Raag Soohee, Fifth Mehl, Chhant:

ਹਉ ਸੰਮਲਿ ਥਕੀ ਜੀ ਓਹੁ ਕਦੇ ਬੋਲੈ ਕਉਰਾ
हउ समलि थकी जी ओहु कदे न बोलै कउरा ॥
Ha▫o sammal thakī jī oh kaḏe na bolai ka▫urā.
I have grown weary of testing Him, but still, He never speaks harshly to me.

ਕਉੜਾ ਬੋਲਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਵਾਨੈ ਅਉਗਣੁ ਕੋ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ
कउड़ा बोलि न जानै पूरन भगवानै अउगणु को न चितारे ॥
Ka▫uṛā bol na jānai pūran bẖagvānai a▫ugaṇ ko na cẖiṯāre.
He does not know any bitter words; the Perfect Lord God does not even consider my faults and demerits.

ਮਿਠ ਬੋਲੜਾ ਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੋਰਾ
मिठ बोलड़ा जी हरि सजणु सुआमी मोरा ॥
Miṯẖ bolṛā jī har sajaṇ su▫āmī morā.
My Dear Lord and Master, my Friend, speaks so sweetly.

ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਦਾਏ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਭੰਨੈ ਘਾਲੇ
पतित पावनु हरि बिरदु सदाए इकु तिलु नही भंनै घाले ॥
Paṯiṯ pāvan har biraḏ saḏā▫e ik ṯil nahī bẖannai gẖāle.
It is the Lord's natural way to purify sinners; He does not overlook even an iota of service.

ਘਟ ਘਟ ਵਾਸੀ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਨੇਰੈ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਨੇਰਾ
घट घट वासी सरब निवासी नेरै ही ते नेरा ॥
Gẖat gẖat vāsī sarab nivāsī nerai hī ṯe nerā.
He dwells in each and every heart, pervading everywhere; He is the nearest of the near.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਜਣੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੧॥
नानक दासु सदा सरणागति हरि अम्रित सजणु मेरा ॥१॥
Nānak ḏās saḏā sarṇāgaṯ har amriṯ sajaṇ merā. ||1||
Slave Nanak seeks His Sanctuary forever; the Lord is my Ambrosial Friend. ||1||

ਹਉ ਬਿਸਮੁ ਭਈ ਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ
हउ बिसमु भई जी हरि दरसनु देखि अपारा ॥
Ha▫o bisam bẖa▫ī jī har ḏarsan ḏekẖ apārā.
I am wonder-struck, gazing upon the incomparable Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.

ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ ਹਉ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪਗ ਛਾਰਾ
मेरा सुंदरु सुआमी जी हउ चरन कमल पग छारा ॥
Merā sunḏar su▫āmī jī ha▫o cẖaran kamal pag cẖẖārā.
My Dear Lord and Master is so beautiful; I am the dust of His Lotus Feet.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੇਖਤ ਜੀਵਾ ਠੰਢੀ ਥੀਵਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਕੋਈ
प्रभ पेखत जीवा ठंढी थीवा तिसु जेवडु अवरु न कोई ॥
Parabẖ pekẖaṯ jīvā ṯẖadẖī thīvā ṯis jevad avar na ko▫ī.
Gazing upon God, I live, and I am at peace; no one else is as great as He is.

ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਮਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸੋਈ
आदि अंति मधि प्रभु रविआ जलि थलि महीअलि सोई ॥
Āḏ anṯ maḏẖ parabẖ ravi▫ā jal thal mahī▫al so▫ī.
Present at the beginning, end and middle of time, He pervades the sea, the land and the sky.

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਪਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਭਵਜਲ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਾ
चरन कमल जपि सागरु तरिआ भवजल उतरे पारा ॥
Cẖaran kamal jap sāgar ṯari▫ā bẖavjal uṯre pārā.
Meditating on His Lotus Feet, I have crossed over the sea, the terrifying world-ocean.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
नानक सरणि पूरन परमेसुर तेरा अंतु न पारावारा ॥२॥
Nānak saraṇ pūran parmesur ṯerā anṯ na pārāvārā. ||2||
Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Perfect Transcendent Lord; You have no end or limitation, Lord. ||2||

ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਹਿਆ ਜੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਅਗਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੋ
गुरि सतिगुर कहिआ जी साचा अगम बीचारो ॥
Gur saṯgur kahi▫ā jī sācẖā agam bīcẖāro.
The Guru, the True Guru, has instructed me in the contemplation of the True, Inaccessible Lord.

ਹਉ ਨਿਮਖ ਛੋਡਾ ਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੋ
हउ निमख न छोडा जी हरि प्रीतम प्रान अधारो ॥
Ha▫o nimakẖ na cẖẖodā jī har parīṯam parān aḏẖāro.
I shall not forsake, even for an instant, my Dear Beloved Lord, the Support of the breath of life.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਦੀਨਾ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੀਨਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਠੇ
मिलि साधू दीना ता नामु लीना जनम मरण दुख नाठे ॥
Mil sāḏẖū ḏīnā ṯā nām līnā janam maraṇ ḏukẖ nāṯẖe.
Meeting with the humble, Holy Saint, I obtained the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and the pains of birth and death left me.

ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਨੇਰੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਨਠੀ ਗਾਠੇ
सहज सूख आनंद घनेरे हउमै बिनठी गाठे ॥
Sahj sūkẖ ānanḏ gẖanere ha▫umai binṯẖī gāṯẖe.
I have been blessed with peace, poise and abundant bliss, and the knot of egotism has been untied.

ਸਭ ਕੈ ਮਧਿ ਸਭ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਰਾਗ ਦੋਖ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਰੋ
सभ कै मधि सभ हू ते बाहरि राग दोख ते निआरो ॥
Sabẖ kai maḏẖ sabẖ hū ṯe bāhar rāg ḏokẖ ṯe ni▫āro.
He is inside all, and outside of all; He is untouched by love or hate.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਧਾਰੋ ॥੩॥
नानक दास गोबिंद सरणाई हरि प्रीतमु मनहि सधारो ॥३॥
Nānak ḏās gobinḏ sarṇā▫ī har parīṯam manėh saḏẖāro. ||3||
Slave Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the Lord of the Universe; the Beloved Lord is the Support of the mind. ||3||

ਮੈ ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਸੁ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ
मै खोजत खोजत जी हरि निहचलु सु घरु पाइआ ॥
Mai kẖojaṯ kẖojaṯ jī har nihcẖal so gẖar pā▫i▫ā.
I searched and searched, and found the immovable, unchanging home of the Lord.

ਸਭਿ ਅਧ੍ਰੁਵ ਡਿਠੇ ਜੀਉ ਤਾ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ
सभि अध्रुव डिठे जीउ ता चरन कमल चितु लाइआ ॥
Sabẖ aḏẖruv diṯẖe jī▫o ṯā cẖaran kamal cẖiṯ lā▫i▫ā.
I have seen that everything is transitory and perishable, and so I have linked my consciousness to the Lotus Feet of the Lord.

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਹਉ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਮਰੈ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਏ
प्रभु अबिनासी हउ तिस की दासी मरै न आवै जाए ॥
Parabẖ abẖināsī ha▫o ṯis kī ḏāsī marai na āvai jā▫e.
God is eternal and unchanging, and I am just His hand-maiden; He does not die, or come and go in reincarnation.

ਧਰਮ ਅਰਥ ਕਾਮ ਸਭਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦੀ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਏ
धरम अरथ काम सभि पूरन मनि चिंदी इछ पुजाए ॥
Ḏẖaram arath kām sabẖ pūran man cẖinḏī icẖẖ pujā▫e.
He is overflowing with Dharmic faith, wealth and success; He fulfills the desires of the mind.

ਸ੍ਰੁਤਿ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਧਿਆਇਆ
स्रुति सिम्रिति गुन गावहि करते सिध साधिक मुनि जन धिआइआ ॥
Saruṯ simriṯ gun gāvahi karṯe siḏẖ sāḏẖik mun jan ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
The Vedas and the Simritees sing the Praises of the Creator, while the Siddhas, seekers and silent sages meditate on Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੧॥
नानक सरनि क्रिपा निधि सुआमी वडभागी हरि हरि गाइआ ॥४॥१॥११॥
Nānak saran kirpā niḏẖ su▫āmī vadbẖāgī har har gā▫i▫ā. ||4||1||11||
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of his Lord and Master, the treasure of mercy; by great good fortune, he sings the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||1||11||

ਸੂਹੈ ਵੇਸਿ ਦੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਪਰ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਣ ਜਾਇ
सूहै वेसि दोहागणी पर पिरु रावण जाइ ॥
Sūhai ves ḏuhāgaṇī par pir rāvaṇ jā▫e.
In her red robes, the discarded bride goes out, seeking enjoyment with another's husband.
