ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥ जपि मन राम नामु निसतारा ॥ Jap man rām nām nisṯārā. Chant the Name of the Lord, O mind, and you shall be emancipated. ਬੈਰਾੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ बैराड़ी महला ४ ॥ Bairāṛī mėhlā 4. Bairaaree, Fourth Mehl: ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟੰਤਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਿ ਖੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ कोट कोटंतर के पाप सभि खोवै हरि भवजलु पारि उतारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kot kotanṯar ke pāp sabẖ kẖovai har bẖavjal pār uṯārā. ||1|| rahā▫o. The Lord shall destroy all the sins of millions upon millions of incarnations, and carry you across the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause|| ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰਿ ਬਸਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ ॥ काइआ नगरि बसत हरि सुआमी हरि निरभउ निरवैरु निरंकारा ॥ Kā▫i▫ā nagar basaṯ har su▫āmī har nirbẖa▫o nirvair nirankārā. In the body-village, the Lord Master abides; the Lord is without fear, without vengeance, and without form. ਹਰਿ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬਸਤ ਕਛੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਧਾ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ हरि निकटि बसत कछु नदरि न आवै हरि लाधा गुर वीचारा ॥१॥ Har nikat basaṯ kacẖẖ naḏar na āvai har lāḏẖā gur vīcẖārā. ||1|| The Lord is dwelling near at hand, but He cannot be seen. By the Guru's Teachings, the Lord is obtained. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਰਾਫੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹੀਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ॥ हरि आपे साहु सराफु रतनु हीरा हरि आपि कीआ पासारा ॥ Har āpe sāhu sarāf raṯan hīrā har āp kī▫ā pāsārā. The Lord Himself is the banker, the jeweler, the jewel, the gem; the Lord Himself created the entire expanse of the creation. ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਹਾਝੇ ਸੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਚਾ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੪॥ नानक जिसु क्रिपा करे सु हरि नामु विहाझे सो साहु सचा वणजारा ॥२॥४॥ Nānak jis kirpā kare so har nām vihājẖe so sāhu sacẖā vaṇjārā. ||2||4|| O Nanak, one who is blessed by the Lord's Kind Mercy, trades in the Lord's Name; He alone is the true banker, the true trader. ||2||4||
