ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਗਨ ਕਉ ਹੈ ਕਛੂਐ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਫਿਰਿ ਇਹੁ ਧਾਵੈ ॥ लवै न लागन कउ है कछूऐ जा कउ फिरि इहु धावै ॥ Lavai na lāgan ka▫o hai kacẖẖū▫ai jā ka▫o fir ih ḏẖāvai. Nothing which this mortal being runs after, can compare to it. ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ धनासरी मः ५ ॥ Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 5. Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl: ਜਾ ਕਉ ਆਇਓ ਏਕੁ ਰਸਾ ॥ जा कउ आइओ एकु रसा ॥ Jā ka▫o ā▫i▫o ek rasā. One who comes to know the subtle essence of the One Lord, ਜਾ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਇਹੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਵੈ ॥੧॥ जा कउ गुरि दीनो इहु अम्रितु तिस ही कउ बनि आवै ॥१॥ Jā ka▫o gur ḏīno ih amriṯ ṯis hī ka▫o ban āvai. ||1|| He alone comes to have it, whom the Guru blesses with this Ambrosial Nectar. ||1|| ਖਾਨ ਪਾਨ ਆਨ ਨਹੀ ਖੁਧਿਆ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਬਸਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ खान पान आन नही खुधिआ ता कै चिति न बसा ॥ रहाउ ॥ Kẖān pān ān nahī kẖuḏẖi▫ā ṯā kai cẖiṯ na basā. Rahā▫o. for that person the desire to eat, to wear new clothes, and all other desires, do not abide in the mind. ||Pause|| ਮਉਲਿਓ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹੋਇਓ ਹਰਿਆ ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥ मउलिओ मनु तनु होइओ हरिआ एक बूंद जिनि पाई ॥ Ma▫uli▫o man ṯan ho▫i▫o hari▫ā ek būnḏ jin pā▫ī. The mind and body blossom forth in abundance, when one receives even a drop of this Nectar. ਬਰਨਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਉ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥ बरनि न साकउ उसतति ता की कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥२॥ Baran na sāka▫o usṯaṯ ṯā kī kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫ī. ||2|| I cannot express His glory; I cannot describe His worth. ||2|| ਘਾਲ ਨ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਸੇਵ ਨ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਆਇ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ ॥ घाल न मिलिओ सेव न मिलिओ मिलिओ आइ अचिंता ॥ Gẖāl na mili▫o sev na mili▫o mili▫o ā▫e acẖinṯā. We cannot meet the Lord by our own efforts, nor can we meet Him through service; He comes and meets us spontaneously. ਜਾ ਕਉ ਦਇਆ ਕਰੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਕਮਾਨੋ ਮੰਤਾ ॥੩॥ जा कउ दइआ करी मेरै ठाकुरि तिनि गुरहि कमानो मंता ॥३॥ Jā ka▫o ḏa▫i▫ā karī merai ṯẖākur ṯin gurėh kamāno mannṯā. ||3|| One who is blessed by my Lord Master's Grace, practices the Teachings of the Guru's Mantra. ||3|| ਦੀਨ ਦੈਆਲ ਸਦਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥ दीन दैआल सदा किरपाला सरब जीआ प्रतिपाला ॥ Ḏīn ḏai▫āl saḏā kirpālā sarab jī▫ā parṯipālā. He is merciful to the meek, always kind and compassionate; He cherishes and nurtures all beings. ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਜਿਉ ਮਾਤਾ ਬਾਲ ਗੋੁਪਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੭॥ ओति पोति नानक संगि रविआ जिउ माता बाल गोपाला ॥४॥७॥ Oṯ poṯ Nānak sang ravi▫ā ji▫o māṯā bāl gopālā. ||4||7|| The Lord is mingled with Nanak, through and through; He cherishes him, like the mother her child. ||4||7||
