ਕਿਆ ਗਭਰੂ ਕਿਆ ਬਿਰਧਿ ਹੈ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ किआ गभरू किआ बिरधि है मनमुख त्रिसना भुख न जाइ ॥ Ki▫ā gabẖrū ki▫ā biraḏẖ hai manmukẖ ṯarisnā bẖukẖ na jā▫e. Whether he is young or old, the self-willed manmukh cannot escape hunger and thirst. ਮਃ ੩ ॥ मः ३ ॥ Mėhlā 3. Third Mehl: ਅੰਦਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੰਤੋਖਿਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਲਗੈ ਆਇ ॥ अंदरु त्रिपति संतोखिआ फिरि भुख न लगै आइ ॥ Anḏar ṯaripaṯ sanṯokẖi▫ā fir bẖukẖ na lagai ā▫e. They are satisfied and satiated within; they never feel hungry again. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦੇ ਰਤਿਆ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਏ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥ गुरमुखि सबदे रतिआ सीतलु होए आपु गवाइ ॥ Gurmukẖ sabḏe raṯi▫ā sīṯal ho▫e āp gavā▫e. The Gurmukhs are imbued with the Word of the Shabad; they are at peace, having lost their self-conceit. |
