ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਮਹਿ ਆਪਨ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਦੇ ਤਹ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ॥ मात गरभ महि आपन सिमरनु दे तह तुम राखनहारे ॥ Māṯ garabẖ mėh āpan simran ḏe ṯah ṯum rākẖanhāre. In our mother's womb, You blessed us with Your meditative remembrance, and You preserved us there. ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨ ॥ सोरठि महला ५ घरु २ ॥ Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5 gẖar 2. Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl, Second House: ਮਾਧੌ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਮੋਰਾ ॥ माधौ तू ठाकुरु सिरि मोरा ॥ Māḏẖou ṯū ṯẖākur sir morā. O Lord, You are the Master above my head. ਪਾਵਕ ਸਾਗਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਲਹਰਿ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਰਹੁ ਤਾਰਨਹਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ पावक सागर अथाह लहरि महि तारहु तारनहारे ॥१॥ Pāvak sāgar athāh lahar mėh ṯārahu ṯāranhāre. ||1|| Through the countless waves of the ocean of fire, please, carry us across and save us, O Savior Lord! ||1|| ਕੀਤੇ ਕਉ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਮਾਨੈ ਕਰਣਹਾਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ कीते कउ मेरै समानै करणहारु त्रिणु जानै ॥ Kīṯe ka▫o merai sammānai karanhār ṯariṇ jānai. He looks upon the creation like a mountain of gold, and sees the Creator as a blade of grass. ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਾਗਨ ਕਉ ਸਗਲੀ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਨੈ ॥੨॥ तू दाता मागन कउ सगली दानु देहि प्रभ भानै ॥२॥ Ŧū ḏāṯā māgan ka▫o saglī ḏān ḏėh parabẖ bẖānai. ||2|| You are the Great Giver, and we are all mere beggars; O God, You give gifts according to Your Will. ||2|| ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਧੋਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ईहा ऊहा तुहारो धोरा ॥ रहाउ ॥ Īhā ūhā ṯuhāro ḏẖorā. Rahā▫o. Here and hereafter, You alone are my Support. ||Pause|| ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਅਵਰੁ ਖਿਨੈ ਮਹਿ ਅਵਰਾ ਅਚਰਜ ਚਲਤ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ॥ खिन महि अवरु खिनै महि अवरा अचरज चलत तुमारे ॥ Kẖin mėh avar kẖinai mėh avrā acẖraj cẖalaṯ ṯumāre. In an instant, You are one thing, and in another instant, You are another. Wondrous are Your ways! ਰੂੜੋ ਗੂੜੋ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੋ ਊਚੌ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥੩॥ रूड़ो गूड़ो गहिर ग्मभीरो ऊचौ अगम अपारे ॥३॥ Rūṛo gūṛo gahir gambẖīro ūcẖou agam apāre. ||3|| You are beautiful, mysterious, profound, unfathomable, lofty, inaccessible and infinite. ||3|| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਉ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਓ ਤਉ ਸੁਨੀ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ साधसंगि जउ तुमहि मिलाइओ तउ सुनी तुमारी बाणी ॥ Sāḏẖsang ja▫o ṯumėh milā▫i▫o ṯa▫o sunī ṯumārī baṇī. When You brought me to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, then I heard the Bani of Your Word. ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਪੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੮॥ अनदु भइआ पेखत ही नानक प्रताप पुरख निरबाणी ॥४॥७॥१८॥ Anaḏ bẖa▫i▫ā pekẖaṯ hī Nānak parṯāp purakẖ nirbāṇī. ||4||7||18|| Nanak is in ecstasy, beholding the Glory of the Primal Lord of Nirvaanaa. ||4||7||18||
