ਆਪੇ ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਉਤਭੁਜ ਆਪੇ ਖੰਡ ਆਪੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਇ ॥ आपे अंडज जेरज सेतज उतभुज आपे खंड आपे सभ लोइ ॥ Aapé andaj jéraj séṫaj uṫ▫bʰuj aapé kʰand aapé sabʰ lo▫é. He Himself is born of the egg, from the womb, from sweat and from the earth; He Himself is the continents and all the worlds. ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਚਉਥਾ ॥ सोरठि महला ४ चउथा ॥ Soratʰ mėhlaa 4 cha▫uṫʰaa. Sorat’h, Fourth Mehl: ਆਪੇ ਸੂਤੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਮਣੀਆ ਕਰਿ ਸਕਤੀ ਜਗਤੁ ਪਰੋਇ ॥ आपे सूतु आपे बहु मणीआ करि सकती जगतु परोइ ॥ Aapé sooṫ aapé baho maṇee▫aa kar sakṫee jagaṫ paro▫é. He Himself is the thread, and He Himself is the many beads; through His Almighty Power, He has strung the worlds. ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸੂਤਧਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੂਤੁ ਖਿੰਚੇ ਢਹਿ ਢੇਰੀ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ आपे ही सूतधारु है पिआरा सूतु खिंचे ढहि ढेरी होइ ॥१॥ Aapé hee sooṫ▫ḋʰaar hæ pi▫aaraa sooṫ kʰinché dʰėh dʰéree ho▫é. ||1|| He holds the thread, and when He withdraws the thread, the beads scatter into heaps. ||1|| ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ मेरे मन मै हरि बिनु अवरु न कोइ ॥ Méré man mæ har bin avar na ko▫é. O my mind! There is no other than the Lord for me. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਚੋਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सतिगुर विचि नामु निधानु है पिआरा करि दइआ अमृतु मुखि चोइ ॥ रहाउ ॥ Saṫgur vich naam niḋʰaan hæ pi▫aaraa kar ḋa▫i▫aa amriṫ mukʰ cho▫é. Rahaa▫o. The treasure of the Beloved Naam is within the True Guru; in His Mercy, he pours the Ambrosial Nectar into my mouth. ||Pause|| ਆਪੇ ਜਲ ਥਲਿ ਸਭਤੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ आपे जल थलि सभतु है पिआरा प्रभु आपे करे सु होइ ॥ Aapé jal ṫʰal sabʰaṫ hæ pi▫aaraa parabʰ aapé karé so ho▫é. The Beloved Himself is in all the oceans and lands; whatever God does, comes to pass. ਸਭਨਾ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਮਾਹਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ सभना रिजकु समाहदा पिआरा दूजा अवरु न कोइ ॥ Sabʰnaa rijak samaahaḋaa pi▫aaraa ḋoojaa avar na ko▫é. The Beloved brings nourishment to all; there is none other than Him. ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲ ਖੇਲਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥ आपे खेल खेलाइदा पिआरा आपे करे सु होइ ॥२॥ Aapé kʰél kʰélaa▫iḋaa pi▫aaraa aapé karé so ho▫é. ||2|| The Beloved Himself plays, and whatever He Himself does, comes to pass. ||2|| ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥ आपे ही आपि निरमला पिआरा आपे निरमल सोइ ॥ Aapé hee aap nirmalaa pi▫aaraa aapé nirmal so▫é. The Beloved Himself, all by Himself, is immaculate and pure; He Himself is immaculate and pure. ਆਪੇ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ आपे कीमति पाइदा पिआरा आपे करे सु होइ ॥ Aapé keemaṫ paa▫iḋaa pi▫aaraa aapé karé so ho▫é. The Beloved Himself determines the value of all; whatever He does comes to pass. ਆਪੇ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖੀਐ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਲਖਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥ आपे अलखु न लखीऐ पिआरा आपि लखावै सोइ ॥३॥ Aapé alakʰ na lakʰee▫æ pi▫aaraa aap lakʰaavæ so▫é. ||3|| The Beloved Himself is unseen - He cannot be seen; He Himself causes us to see. ||3|| ਆਪੇ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ आपे गहिर ग्मभीरु है पिआरा तिसु जेवडु अवरु न कोइ ॥ Aapé gahir gambʰeer hæ pi▫aaraa ṫis jévad avar na ko▫é. The Beloved Himself is deep and profound and unfathomable; there is no other as great as He. ਸਭਿ ਘਟ ਆਪੇ ਭੋਗਵੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥ सभि घट आपे भोगवै पिआरा विचि नारी पुरख सभु सोइ ॥ Sabʰ gʰat aapé bʰogvæ pi▫aaraa vich naaree purakʰ sabʰ so▫é. The Beloved Himself enjoys every heart; He is contained within every woman and man. ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੨॥ नानक गुपतु वरतदा पिआरा गुरमुखि परगटु होइ ॥४॥२॥ Naanak gupaṫ varaṫḋaa pi▫aaraa gurmukʰ pargat ho▫é. ||4||2|| O Nanak! The Beloved is pervading everywhere, but He is hidden; through the Guru, He is revealed. ||4||2||
