ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ सोरठि महला ४ ॥ Soratʰ mėhlaa 4. Sorat’h, Fourth Mehl: ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪੈ ॥ आपे ही सभु आपि है पिआरा आपे थापि उथापै ॥ Aapé hee sabʰ aap hæ pi▫aaraa aapé ṫʰaap uṫʰaapæ. He Himself, the Beloved, is Himself all-in-all; He Himself establishes and disestablishes. ਆਪੇ ਵੇਖਿ ਵਿਗਸਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਚੋਜ ਵੇਖੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੈ ॥ आपे वेखि विगसदा पिआरा करि चोज वेखै प्रभु आपै ॥ Aapé vékʰ vigsaḋaa pi▫aaraa kar choj vékʰæ parabʰ aapæ. The Beloved Himself beholds, and rejoices; God Himself works wonders, and beholds them. ਆਪੇ ਵਣਿ ਤਿਣਿ ਸਭਤੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੧॥ आपे वणि तिणि सभतु है पिआरा आपे गुरमुखि जापै ॥१॥ Aapé vaṇ ṫiṇ sabʰaṫ hæ pi▫aaraa aapé gurmukʰ jaapæ. ||1|| The Beloved Himself is contained in all the woods and meadows; as Gurmukh, He reveals Himself. ||1|| ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਿ ਧ੍ਰਾਪੈ ॥ जपि मन हरि हरि नाम रसि ध्रापै ॥ Jap man har har naam ras ḋʰaraapæ. Meditate, O mind, on the Lord, Har, Har; through the sublime essence of Lord’s Name, you shall be satisfied. ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਚਖਿ ਜਾਪੈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ अमृत नामु महा रसु मीठा गुर सबदी चखि जापै ॥ रहाउ ॥ Amriṫ naam mahaa ras meetʰaa gur sabḋee chakʰ jaapæ. Rahaa▫o. The Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, is the sweetest juice; through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, its taste is revealed. ||Pause|| ਆਪੇ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਤੁਲਹੜਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੈ ॥ आपे तीरथु तुलहड़ा पिआरा आपि तरै प्रभु आपै ॥ Aapé ṫiraṫʰ ṫulhaṛaa pi▫aaraa aap ṫaræ parabʰ aapæ. The Beloved is Himself the place of pilgrimage and the raft; God Himself ferries Himself across. ਆਪੇ ਜਾਲੁ ਵਤਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਮਛੁਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੈ ॥ आपे जालु वताइदा पिआरा सभु जगु मछुली हरि आपै ॥ Aapé jaal vaṫaa▫iḋaa pi▫aaraa sabʰ jag machʰulee har aapæ. The Beloved Himself casts the net over all the world; the Lord Himself is the fish. ਆਪਿ ਅਭੁਲੁ ਨ ਭੁਲਈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੨॥ आपि अभुलु न भुलई पिआरा अवरु न दूजा जापै ॥२॥ Aap abʰul na bʰul▫ee pi▫aaraa avar na ḋoojaa jaapæ. ||2|| The Beloved Himself is infallible; He makes no mistakes. There is no other like Him to be seen. ||2|| ਆਪੇ ਸਿੰਙੀ ਨਾਦੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਧੁਨਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਜਾਏ ਆਪੈ ॥ आपे सिंङी नादु है पिआरा धुनि आपि वजाए आपै ॥ Aapé sińee naaḋ hæ pi▫aaraa ḋʰun aap vajaa▫é aapæ. The Beloved Himself is the Yogi’s horn, and the sound current of the Naad; He Himself plays the tune. ਆਪੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਤਪੁ ਤਾਪੈ ॥ आपे जोगी पुरखु है पिआरा आपे ही तपु तापै ॥ Aapé jogee purakʰ hæ pi▫aaraa aapé hee ṫap ṫaapæ. The Beloved Himself is the Yogi, the Primal Being; He Himself practices intense meditation. ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਚੇਲਾ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੈ ॥੩॥ आपे सतिगुरु आपि है चेला उपदेसु करै प्रभु आपै ॥३॥ Aapé saṫgur aap hæ chélaa upḋés karæ parabʰ aapæ. ||3|| He Himself is the True Guru, and He Himself is the disciple; God Himself imparts the Teachings. ||3|| ਆਪੇ ਨਾਉ ਜਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪੈ ॥ आपे नाउ जपाइदा पिआरा आपे ही जपु जापै ॥ Aapé naa▫o japaa▫iḋaa pi▫aaraa aapé hee jap jaapæ. The Beloved Himself inspires us to chant His Name, and He Himself practices meditation. ਆਪੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਰਸੁ ਆਪੈ ॥ आपे अमृतु आपि है पिआरा आपे ही रसु आपै ॥ Aapé amriṫ aap hæ pi▫aaraa aapé hee ras aapæ. The Beloved Himself is the Ambrosial Nectar; He Himself is the juice of it.
