My Beloved Himself is the trader in this world; He Himself is the true banker. ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਅਪਾਹੁ ॥ आपे आपि वरतदा पिआरा आपे आपि अपाहु ॥ Aapé aap varaṫḋaa pi▫aaraa aapé aap apaahu. My Beloved Lord Himself pervades and permeates all; He Himself is, all by Himself. ਆਪੇ ਵਣਜੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੀਆ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਚੁ ਵੇਸਾਹੁ ॥੧॥ आपे वणजु वापारीआ पिआरा आपे सचु वेसाहु ॥१॥ Aapé vaṇaj vapaaree▫aa pi▫aaraa aapé sach vésaahu. ||1|| My Beloved Himself is the trade and the trader; He Himself is the true credit. ||1|| ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹ ॥ जपि मन हरि हरि नामु सलाह ॥ Jap man har har naam salaah. O mind, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, and praise His Name. ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुर किरपा ते पाईऐ पिआरा अमृतु अगम अथाह ॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur kirpaa ṫé paa▫ee▫æ pi▫aaraa amriṫ agam aṫʰaah. Rahaa▫o. By Guru’s Grace, the Beloved, Ambrosial, unapproachable and unfathomable Lord is obtained. ||Pause|| ਆਪੇ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਭ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੇ ਆਪਿ ਮੁਹਾਹੁ ॥ आपे सुणि सभ वेखदा पिआरा मुखि बोले आपि मुहाहु ॥ Aapé suṇ sabʰ vékʰ▫ḋaa pi▫aaraa mukʰ bolé aap muhaahu. The Beloved Himself sees and hears everything; He Himself speaks through the mouths of all beings. ਆਪੇ ਉਝੜਿ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਵਿਖਾਲੇ ਰਾਹੁ ॥ आपे उझड़ि पाइदा पिआरा आपि विखाले राहु ॥ Aapé ujʰaṛ paa▫iḋaa pi▫aaraa aap vikʰaalé raahu. The Beloved Himself leads us into the wilderness, and He Himself shows us the Way. ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥੨॥ आपे ही सभु आपि है पिआरा आपे वेपरवाहु ॥२॥ Aapé hee sabʰ aap hæ pi▫aaraa aapé véparvaahu. ||2|| The Beloved Himself is Himself all-in-all; He Himself is carefree. ||2|| ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਿਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਧੰਧੜੈ ਲਾਹੁ ॥ आपे आपि उपाइदा पिआरा सिरि आपे धंधड़ै लाहु ॥ Aapé aap upaa▫iḋaa pi▫aaraa sir aapé ḋʰanḋʰ▫ṛæ laahu. The Beloved Himself, all by Himself, created everything; He Himself links all to their tasks. ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ਸਾਖਤੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹੁ ॥ आपि कराए साखती पिआरा आपि मारे मरि जाहु ॥ Aap karaa▫é saakʰ▫ṫee pi▫aaraa aap maaré mar jaahu. The Beloved Himself creates the Creation, and He Himself destroys it. ਆਪੇ ਪਤਣੁ ਪਾਤਣੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਹੁ ॥੩॥ आपे पतणु पातणी पिआरा आपे पारि लंघाहु ॥३॥ Aapé paṫaṇ paaṫ▫ṇee pi▫aaraa aapé paar langʰaahu. ||3|| He Himself is the wharf, and He Himself is the ferryman, who ferries us across. ||3|| ਆਪੇ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਖੇਵਟੁ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਹੁ ॥ आपे सागरु बोहिथा पिआरा गुरु खेवटु आपि चलाहु ॥ Aapé saagar bohiṫʰaa pi▫aaraa gur kʰévat aap chalaahu. The Beloved Himself is the ocean, and the boat; He Himself is the Guru, the boatman who steers it ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਚੜਿ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਚੋਜ ਵੇਖੈ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ॥ आपे ही चड़ि लंघदा पिआरा करि चोज वेखै पातिसाहु ॥ Aapé hee chaṛ langʰ▫ḋaa pi▫aaraa kar choj vékʰæ paaṫisaahu. . The Beloved Himself sets sail and crosses over; He, the King, beholds His wondrous play. ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਹੁ ॥੪॥੧॥ आपे आपि दइआलु है पिआरा जन नानक बखसि मिलाहु ॥४॥१॥ Aapé aap ḋa▫i▫aal hæ pi▫aaraa jan Naanak bakʰas milaahu. ||4||1|| The Beloved Himself is the Merciful Master; O servant Nanak! He forgives and blends with Himself. ||4||1||
