ਮਿਲਿ ਜਲੁ ਜਲਹਿ ਖਟਾਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ मिलि जलु जलहि खटाना राम ॥ Mil jal jalėh kẖatānā rām. As water mixes and blends with water, ਛੰਤੁ ॥ छंतु ॥ Cẖẖanṯ. Chhant: ਸੰਮਾਇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਰਤੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਹਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ॥ समाइ पूरन पुरख करते आपि आपहि जाणीऐ ॥ Sammā▫e pūran purakẖ karṯe āp āpėh jāṇī▫ai. Merging with the perfect, all-powerful Creator, one comes to know his own self. ਸੰਗਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ संगि जोती जोति मिलाना राम ॥ Sang joṯī joṯ milānā rām. so does one's light mix and blend with the Lord's Light. ਤਹ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਏਕੁ ਏਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੀਐ ॥ तह सुंनि सहजि समाधि लागी एकु एकु वखाणीऐ ॥ Ŧah sunn sahj samāḏẖ lāgī ek ek vakẖāṇī▫ai. Then, he enters the celestial state of absolute Samaadhi, and speaks of the One and Only Lord. ਆਪਿ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੁ ਵਖਾਨਾ ॥ आपि गुपता आपि मुकता आपि आपु वखाना ॥ Āp gupṯā āp mukṯā āp āp vakẖānā. He Himself is unmanifest, and He Himself is liberated; He Himself speaks of Himself. ਨਾਨਕ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਲੁ ਜਲਹਿ ਖਟਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੨॥ नानक भ्रम भै गुण बिनासे मिलि जलु जलहि खटाना ॥४॥२॥ Nānak bẖaram bẖai guṇ bināse mil jal jalėh kẖatānā. ||4||2|| O Nanak, doubt, fear and the limitations of the three qualities are dispelled, as one merges into the Lord, like water blending with water. ||4||2||
