ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਖੁ ਉਜਲਾ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ सोहागणी सदा मुखु उजला गुर कै सहजि सुभाइ ॥ Sohaagaṇee saḋaa mukʰ ujlaa gur kæ sahj subʰaa▫é. The faces of the happy soul-brides are radiant forever; through the Guru, they are peacefully poised. ਵਡਹੰਸੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ वडहंसु महला ३ ॥ vad▫hans mėhlaa 3. Wadahans, Third Mehl: ਸਦਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਹਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥੧॥ सदा पिरु रावहि आपणा विचहु आपु गवाइ ॥१॥ Saḋaa pir raavėh aapṇaa vichahu aap gavaa▫é. ||1|| They enjoy their Husband Lord constantly, eradicating their ego from within. ||1|| ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੂ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥ मेरे मन तू हरि हरि नामु धिआइ ॥ Méré man ṫoo har har naam ḋʰi▫aa▫é. O my mind! Meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ਸਤਗੁਰਿ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਬੁਝਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सतगुरि मो कउ हरि दीआ बुझाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Saṫgur mo ka▫o har ḋee▫aa bujʰaa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. The True Guru has led me to understand the Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਦੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਖਰੀਆ ਬਿਲਲਾਦੀਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥ दोहागणी खरीआ बिललादीआ तिना महलु न पाइ ॥ Ḋuhaagaṇee kʰaree▫aa billaaḋee▫aa ṫinaa mahal na paa▫é. The abandoned brides cry out in their suffering; they do not attain the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence. ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਕਰੂਪੀ ਦੂਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਆਗੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ दूजै भाइ करूपी दूखु पावहि आगै जाइ ॥२॥ Ḋoojæ bʰaa▫é karoopee ḋookʰ paavahi aagæ jaa▫é. ||2|| In the love of duality, they appear so ugly; they suffer with pain as they go to the world beyond. ||2|| ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਨਿਤ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਇ ॥ गुणवंती नित गुण रवै हिरदै नामु वसाइ ॥ Guṇvanṫee niṫ guṇ ravæ hirḋæ naam vasaa▫é. The virtuous soul-bride constantly chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord; she enshrines the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within her heart. ਅਉਗਣਵੰਤੀ ਕਾਮਣੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਬਿਲਲਾਇ ॥੩॥ अउगणवंती कामणी दुखु लागै बिललाइ ॥३॥ A▫ugaṇvanṫee kaamṇee ḋukʰ laagæ billaa▫é. ||3|| The unvirtuous woman suffers, and cries out in pain. ||3|| ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਭਤਾਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ सभना का भतारु एकु है सुआमी कहणा किछू न जाइ ॥ Sabʰnaa kaa bʰaṫaar ék hæ su▫aamee kahṇaa kichʰoo na jaa▫é. The One Lord and Master is the Husband Lord of all; His Praises cannot be expressed. ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੇ ਵੇਕ ਕੀਤਿਅਨੁ ਨਾਮੇ ਲਇਅਨੁ ਲਾਇ ॥੪॥੪॥ नानक आपे वेक कीतिअनु नामे लइअनु लाइ ॥४॥४॥ Naanak aapé vék keeṫi▫an naamé la▫i▫an laa▫é. ||4||4|| O Nanak! He has separated some from Himself, while others are to His Name. ||4||4||
