ਦੇਵਗੰਧਾਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ देवगंधारी महला ५ ॥ Ḏevganḏẖārī mėhlā 5. Dayv-Gandhaaree, Fifth Mehl: ਉਲਟੀ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਉਲਟੀ ਰੇ ॥ उलटी रे मन उलटी रे ॥ Ultī re man ultī re. Turn away, O my mind, turn away. ਝੂਠੈ ਕੀ ਰੇ ਝੂਠੁ ਪਰੀਤਿ ਛੁਟਕੀ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਛੁਟਕੀ ਰੇ ਸਾਕਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਛੁਟਕੀ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ झूठै की रे झूठु परीति छुटकी रे मन छुटकी रे साकत संगि न छुटकी रे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jẖūṯẖai kī re jẖūṯẖ parīṯ cẖẖutkī re man cẖẖutkī re sākaṯ sang na cẖẖutkī re. ||1|| rahā▫o. False is the love of the false one; break the ties, O my mind, and your ties shall be broken. Break your ties with the faithless cynic. ||1||Pause|| ਸਾਕਤ ਸਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਉਲਟੀ ਰੇ ॥ साकत सिउ करि उलटी रे ॥ Sākaṯ si▫o kar ultī re. Turn away from the faithless cynic. ਜਿਉ ਕਾਜਰ ਭਰਿ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਜੋ ਪੈਸੈ ਕਾਲੂਖੀ ਰੇ ॥ जिउ काजर भरि मंदरु राखिओ जो पैसै कालूखी रे ॥ Ji▫o kājar bẖar manḏar rākẖi▫o jo paisai kālūkẖī re. One who enters a house filled with soot is blackened. ਦੂਰਹੁ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਭਾਗਿ ਗਇਓ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਛੁਟਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਕੁਟੀ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ दूरहु ही ते भागि गइओ है जिसु गुर मिलि छुटकी त्रिकुटी रे ॥१॥ Ḏẖūrahu hī ṯe bẖāg ga▫i▫o hai jis gur mil cẖẖutkī ṯarikutī re. ||1|| Run far away from such people! One who meets the Guru escapes from the bondage of the three dispositions. ||1|| ਮਾਗਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੁਖੁ ਸਾਕਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਜੁਟਸੀ ਰੇ ॥ मागउ दानु क्रिपाल क्रिपा निधि मेरा मुखु साकत संगि न जुटसी रे ॥ Māga▫o ḏān kirpāl kirpā niḏẖ merā mukẖ sākaṯ sang na jutsī re. I beg this blessing of You, O Merciful Lord, ocean of mercy - please, don't bring me face to face with the faithless cynics. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸ ਕੋ ਕਰੀਅਹੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਡੁ ਸਾਧ ਪਗਾ ਹੇਠਿ ਰੁਲਸੀ ਰੇ ॥੨॥੪॥੩੭॥ जन नानक दास दास को करीअहु मेरा मूंडु साध पगा हेठि रुलसी रे ॥२॥४॥३७॥ Jan Nānak ḏās ḏās ko karī▫ahu merā mūnd sāḏẖ pagā heṯẖ rulsī re. ||2||4||37|| Make servant Nanak the slave of Your slave; let his head roll in the dust under the feet of the Holy. ||2||4||37||
