ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਵਰੀਆਮ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਹੋੜੀਐ ॥ सूरबीर वरीआम किनै न होड़ीऐ ॥ Sūrbīr varī▫ām kinai na hoṛī▫ai. Even brave and mighty men cannot withstand, ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਦਸ ਨਾਰੀ ਅਉਧੂਤ ਦੇਨਿ ਚਮੋੜੀਐ ॥ दस नारी अउधूत देनि चमोड़ीऐ ॥ Ḏas nārī a▫uḏẖūṯ ḏen cẖamoṛī▫ai. The ten organs of sensation attach even detached renunciates to sensory pleasures. ਫਉਜ ਸਤਾਣੀ ਹਾਠ ਪੰਚਾ ਜੋੜੀਐ ॥ फउज सताणी हाठ पंचा जोड़ीऐ ॥ Fa▫uj saṯāṇī hāṯẖ pancẖā joṛī▫ai. the powerful and overwhelming army which the five passions have gathered. ਜਿਣਿ ਜਿਣਿ ਲੈਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਰਲਾਇ ਏਹੋ ਏਨਾ ਲੋੜੀਐ ॥ जिणि जिणि लैन्हि रलाइ एहो एना लोड़ीऐ ॥ Jiṇ jiṇ lainiĥ ralā▫e eho enā loṛī▫ai. They seek to conquer and overpower them, and so increase their following. ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਇਨ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਮੋੜੀਐ ॥ त्रै गुण इन कै वसि किनै न मोड़ीऐ ॥ Ŧarai guṇ in kai vas kinai na moṛī▫ai. The world of the three dispositions is under their influence; no one can stand against them. ਭਰਮੁ ਕੋਟੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਖਾਈ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤੋੜੀਐ ॥ भरमु कोटु माइआ खाई कहु कितु बिधि तोड़ीऐ ॥ Bẖaram kot mā▫i▫ā kẖā▫ī kaho kiṯ biḏẖ ṯoṛī▫ai. So tell me - how can the fort of doubt and the moat of Maya be overcome? ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਬਿਖਮ ਦਲੁ ਫੋੜੀਐ ॥ गुरु पूरा आराधि बिखम दलु फोड़ीऐ ॥ Gur pūrā ārāḏẖ bikẖam ḏal foṛī▫ai. Worshipping the Perfect Guru, this awesome force is subdued. ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਅਗੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਰਹਾ ਕਰ ਜੋੜੀਐ ॥੧੫॥ हउ तिसु अगै दिनु राति रहा कर जोड़ीऐ ॥१५॥ Ha▫o ṯis agai ḏin rāṯ rahā kar joṛī▫ai. ||15|| I stand before Him, day and night, with my palms pressed together. ||15||
