ਆਲ ਜਾਲ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਤਜਾਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਤੀ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਈ ॥ आल जाल भ्रम मोह तजावै प्रभ सेती रंगु लाई ॥ Aal jaal bʰaram moh ṫajaavæ parabʰ séṫee rang laa▫ee. He rids us of entanglements, doubt and emotional attachment, and leads us to love God. ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गूजरी महला ५ ॥ Goojree mėhlaa 5. Goojaree, Fifth Mehl: ਮਨ ਕਉ ਇਹ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥ मन कउ इह उपदेसु द्रिड़ावै सहजि सहजि गुण गाई ॥१॥ Man ka▫o ih upḋés ḋariṛ▫aavæ sahj sahj guṇ gaa▫ee. ||1|| He implants this instruction in our minds, for us to sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, in peace and poise. ||1|| ਸਾਜਨ ਐਸੋ ਸੰਤੁ ਸਹਾਈ ॥ साजन ऐसो संतु सहाई ॥ Saajan æso sanṫ sahaa▫ee. O friend, the Saintly Guru is such a helper. ਜਿਸੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਤੂਟਹਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਬੰਧ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जिसु भेटे तूटहि माइआ बंध बिसरि न कबहूं जाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jis bʰété ṫootėh maa▫i▫aa banḋʰ bisar na kabahooⁿ jaa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Meeting Him, the bonds of Maya are released, and one never forgets the Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਕਰਤ ਕਰਤ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤੀ ਨੀਕੀ ਇਹ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥ करत करत अनिक बहु भाती नीकी इह ठहराई ॥ Karaṫ karaṫ anik baho bʰaaṫee neekee ih tʰahraa▫ee. Practicing, practicing various actions in so many ways, I came to recognize this as the best way. ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਈ ॥੨॥੮॥੧੭॥ मिलि साधू हरि जसु गावै नानक भवजलु पारि पराई ॥२॥८॥१७॥ Mil saaḋʰoo har jas gaavæ Naanak bʰavjal paar paraa▫ee. ||2||8||17|| Joining the Company of the Holy, Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and crosses over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||8||17||
