ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਤਿ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥ तिसु जन सांति सदा मति निहचल जिस का अभिमानु गवाए ॥ Ŧis jan sāʼnṯ saḏā maṯ nihcẖal jis kā abẖimān gavā▫e. That humble being who eliminates his ego is at peace; he is blessed with an ever-stable intellect. ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ गूजरी महला ३ ॥ Gūjrī mėhlā 3. Goojaree, Third Mehl: ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਜਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥੧॥ सो जनु निरमलु जि गुरमुखि बूझै हरि चरणी चितु लाए ॥१॥ So jan nirmal jė gurmukẖ būjẖai har cẖarṇī cẖiṯ lā▫e. ||1|| That humble being is immaculately pure, who, as Gurmukh, understands the Lord, and focuses his consciousness on the Lord's Feet. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿ ਅਚੇਤ ਮਨਾ ਜੋ ਇਛਹਿ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਹੋਈ ॥ हरि चेति अचेत मना जो इछहि सो फलु होई ॥ Har cẖeṯ acẖeṯ manā jo icẖẖėh so fal ho▫ī. O my unconscious mind, remain conscious of the Lord, and you shall obtain the fruits of your desires. ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਪੀਵਤ ਰਹਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुर परसादी हरि रसु पावहि पीवत रहहि सदा सुखु होई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur parsādī har ras pāvahi pīvaṯ rahėh saḏā sukẖ ho▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o. By Guru's Grace, you shall obtain the sublime elixir of the Lord; by continually drinking it in, you shall have eternal peace. ||1||Pause|| ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਤਾ ਪਾਰਸੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਾਰਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਏ ॥ सतिगुरु भेटे ता पारसु होवै पारसु होइ त पूज कराए ॥ Saṯgur bẖete ṯā pāras hovai pāras ho▫e ṯa pūj karā▫e. When one meets the True Guru, he becomes the philosopher's stone, with the ability to transform others, inspiring them to worship the Lord. ਜੋ ਉਸੁ ਪੂਜੇ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥੨॥ जो उसु पूजे सो फलु पाए दीखिआ देवै साचु बुझाए ॥२॥ Jo us pūje so fal pā▫e ḏīkẖi▫ā ḏevai sācẖ bujẖā▫e. ||2|| One who worships the Lord in adoration, obtains his rewards; instructing others, he reveals the Truth. ||2|| ਵਿਣੁ ਪਾਰਸੈ ਪੂਜ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਮਨ ਪਰਚੇ ਅਵਰਾ ਸਮਝਾਏ ॥ विणु पारसै पूज न होवई विणु मन परचे अवरा समझाए ॥ viṇ pārsai pūj na hova▫ī viṇ man parcẖe avrā samjẖā▫e. Without becoming the philosopher's stone, he does not inspire others to worship the Lord; without instructing his own mind, how can he instruct others? ਗੁਰੂ ਸਦਾਏ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਅੰਧਾ ਕਿਸੁ ਓਹੁ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥ गुरू सदाए अगिआनी अंधा किसु ओहु मारगि पाए ॥३॥ Gurū saḏā▫e agi▫ānī anḏẖā kis oh mārag pā▫e. ||3|| The ignorant, blind man calls himself the guru, but to whom can he show the way? ||3|| ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਦਰੀ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥ नानक विणु नदरी किछू न पाईऐ जिसु नदरि करे सो पाए ॥ Nānak viṇ naḏrī kicẖẖū na pā▫ī▫ai jis naḏar kare so pā▫e. O Nanak, without His Mercy, nothing can be obtained. One upon whom He casts His Glance of Grace, obtains Him. ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਅਪਣਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਰਤਾਏ ॥੪॥੫॥੭॥ गुर परसादी दे वडिआई अपणा सबदु वरताए ॥४॥५॥७॥ Gur parsādī ḏe vadi▫ā▫ī apṇā sabaḏ varṯā▫e. ||4||5||7|| By Guru's Grace, God bestows greatness, and projects the Word of His Shabad. ||4||5||7||
