ਹਮ ਘਰੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ਛੰਤ ਘਰੁ
आसा महला ३ छंत घरु १ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 3 cẖẖanṯ gẖar 1.
Aasaa, Third Mehl, Chhant, First House:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਹਮ ਘਰੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ
हम घरे साचा सोहिला साचै सबदि सुहाइआ राम ॥
Ham gẖare sācẖā sohilā sācẖai sabaḏ suhā▫i▫ā rām.
Within my home, the true wedding songs of rejoicing are sung; my home is adorned with the True Word of the Shabad.

ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਮੇਲੁ ਭਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ
धन पिर मेलु भइआ प्रभि आपि मिलाइआ राम ॥
Ḏẖan pir mel bẖa▫i▫ā parabẖ āp milā▫i▫ā rām.
The soul-bride has met her Husband Lord; God Himself has consummated this union.

ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਸਚੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਸਹਜੇ ਮਾਤੀ
प्रभि आपि मिलाइआ सचु मंनि वसाइआ कामणि सहजे माती ॥
Parabẖ āp milā▫i▫ā sacẖ man vasā▫i▫ā kāmaṇ sėhje māṯī.
God Himself has consummated this union; the soul-bride enshrines Truth within her mind, intoxicated with peaceful poise.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ਸਚਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਰਾਵੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ
गुर सबदि सीगारी सचि सवारी सदा रावे रंगि राती ॥
Gur sabaḏ sīgārī sacẖ savārī saḏā rāve rang rāṯī.
Embellished with the Word of the Guru's Shabad, and beautified with Truth, she enjoys her Beloved forever, imbued with His Love.

ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ
आपु गवाए हरि वरु पाए ता हरि रसु मंनि वसाइआ ॥
Āp gavā▫e har var pā▫e ṯā har ras man vasā▫i▫ā.
Eradicating her ego, she obtains her Husband Lord, and then, the sublime essence of the Lord dwells within her mind.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਸਫਲਿਉ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
कहु नानक गुर सबदि सवारी सफलिउ जनमु सबाइआ ॥१॥
Kaho Nānak gur sabaḏ savārī safli▫o janam sabā▫i▫ā. ||1||
Says Nanak, fruitful and prosperous is her entire life; she is embellished with the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||1||

ਦੂਜੜੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ
दूजड़ै कामणि भरमि भुली हरि वरु न पाए राम ॥
Ḏūjṛai kāmaṇ bẖaram bẖulī har var na pā▫e rām.
The soul-bride who has been led astray by duality and doubt, does not attain her Husband Lord.

ਕਾਮਣਿ ਗੁਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਰਾਮ
कामणि गुणु नाही बिरथा जनमु गवाए राम ॥
Kāmaṇ guṇ nāhī birthā janam gavā▫e rām.
That soul-bride has no virtue, and she wastes her life in vain.

ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਇਆਣੀ ਅਉਗਣਵੰਤੀ ਝੂਰੇ
बिरथा जनमु गवाए मनमुखि इआणी अउगणवंती झूरे ॥
Birthā janam gavā▫e manmukẖ i▫āṇī a▫ugaṇvanṯī jẖūre.
The self-willed, ignorant and disgraceful manmukh wastes her life in vain, and in the end, she comes to grief.

ਆਪਣਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਦੂਰੇ
आपणा सतिगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ ता पिरु मिलिआ हदूरे ॥
Āpṇā saṯgur sev saḏā sukẖ pā▫i▫ā ṯā pir mili▫ā haḏūre.
But when she serves her True Guru, she obtains peace, and then she meets her Husband Lord, face to face.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਣੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੨॥
नानक विणु नावै कामणि भरमि भुलाणी मिलि प्रीतम सुखु पाए ॥२॥
Nānak viṇ nāvai kāmaṇ bẖaram bẖulāṇī mil parīṯam sukẖ pā▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, without the Name, the soul-bride wanders around, deluded by doubt. Meeting her Beloved, she obtains peace. ||2||

ਦੇਖਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਵਿਗਸੀ ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਸਰਸੀ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ
देखि पिरु विगसी अंदरहु सरसी सचै सबदि सुभाए ॥
Ḏekẖ pir vigsī anḏrahu sarsī sacẖai sabaḏ subẖā▫e.
Beholding her Husband Lord, she blossoms forth; her heart is delighted, and she is beautified by the True Word of the Shabad.

ਪਿਰੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਰਾਮ
पिरु संगि कामणि जाणिआ गुरि मेलि मिलाई राम ॥
Pir sang kāmaṇ jāṇi▫ā gur mel milā▫ī rām.
The soul-bride knows that her Husband Lord is with her; the Guru unites her in this union.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਤਪਤਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ਰਾਮ
अंतरि सबदि मिली सहजे तपति बुझाई राम ॥
Anṯar sabaḏ milī sėhje ṯapaṯ bujẖā▫ī rām.
Within her heart, she is merged with the Shabad, and the fire of her desire is easily extinguished.

ਸਬਦਿ ਤਪਤਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਆਈ ਸਹਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ
सबदि तपति बुझाई अंतरि सांति आई सहजे हरि रसु चाखिआ ॥
Sabaḏ ṯapaṯ bujẖā▫ī anṯar sāʼnṯ ā▫ī sėhje har ras cẖākẖi▫ā.
The Shabad has quenched the fire of desire, and within her heart, peace and tranquility have come; she tastes the Lord's essence with intuitive ease.

ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਅਪਣੇ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੇ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ
मिलि प्रीतम अपणे सदा रंगु माणे सचै सबदि सुभाखिआ ॥
Mil parīṯam apṇe saḏā rang māṇe sacẖai sabaḏ subẖākẖi▫ā.
Meeting her Beloved, she enjoys His Love continually, and her speech rings with the True Shabad.

ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਮੋਨੀ ਥਾਕੇ ਭੇਖੀ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਾਈ
पड़ि पड़ि पंडित मोनी थाके भेखी मुकति न पाई ॥
Paṛ paṛ pandiṯ monī thāke bẖekẖī mukaṯ na pā▫ī.
Reading and studying continually, the Pandits, the religious scholars, and the silent sages have grown weary; wearing religious robes, liberation is not obtained.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਜਗੁ ਬਉਰਾਨਾ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੩॥
नानक बिनु भगती जगु बउराना सचै सबदि मिलाई ॥३॥
Nānak bin bẖagṯī jag ba▫urānā sacẖai sabaḏ milā▫ī. ||3||
O Nanak, without devotional worship, the world has gone insane; through the True Word of the Shabad, one meets the Lord. ||3||

ਸਾ ਧਨ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ
सा धन मनि अनदु भइआ हरि जीउ मेलि पिआरे राम ॥
Sā ḏẖan man anaḏ bẖa▫i▫ā har jī▫o mel pi▫āre rām.
Bliss permeates the mind of the soul-bride, who meets her Beloved Lord.

ਸਾ ਧਨ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰਸਿ ਰਸੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਅਪਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ
सा धन हरि कै रसि रसी गुर कै सबदि अपारे राम ॥
Sā ḏẖan har kai ras rasī gur kai sabaḏ apāre rām.
The soul-bride is enraptured with the sublime essence of the Lord, through the incomparable Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਸਬਦਿ ਅਪਾਰੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੇ
सबदि अपारे मिले पिआरे सदा गुण सारे मनि वसे ॥
Sabaḏ apāre mile pi▫āre saḏā guṇ sāre man vase.
Through the incomparable Word of the Guru's Shabad, she meets her Beloved; she continually contemplates and enshrines His Glorious Virtues in her mind.

ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ
जितु घरि नामु हरि सदा धिआईऐ सोहिलड़ा जुग चारे ॥
Jiṯ gẖar nām har saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai sohilṛā jug cẖāre.
That house, within which the Lord's Name is continually meditated upon, resounds with the wedding songs of rejoicing, throughout the four ages.

ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਾ ਪਿਰਿ ਰਾਵੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਅਵਗਣ ਨਸੇ
सेज सुहावी जा पिरि रावी मिलि प्रीतम अवगण नसे ॥
Sej suhāvī jā pir rāvī mil parīṯam avgaṇ nase.
Her bed was adorned when she enjoyed her Husband Lord; meeting with her Beloved, her demerits were erased.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥੬॥
नानक नामि रते सदा अनदु है हरि मिलिआ कारज सारे ॥४॥१॥६॥
Nānak nām raṯe saḏā anaḏ hai har mili▫ā kāraj sāre. ||4||1||6||
O Nanak, imbued with the Naam, we are in bliss forever; meeting the Lord, our affairs are resolved. ||4||1||6||
