ਘਰੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਵਥੁ ਹੈ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

ਘਰੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਵਥੁ ਹੈ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ
घरै अंदरि सभु वथु है बाहरि किछु नाही ॥
Gẖarai anḏar sabẖ vath hai bāhar kicẖẖ nāhī.
Everything is within the home of your own self; there is nothing beyond it.

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ३ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 3.
Aasaa, Third Mehl:

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਪਟ ਖੁਲਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
गुर परसादी पाईऐ अंतरि कपट खुलाही ॥१॥
Gur parsādī pā▫ī▫ai anṯar kapat kẖulāhī. ||1||
By Guru's Grace, it is obtained, and the doors of the inner heart are opened wide. ||1||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਭਾਈ
सतिगुर ते हरि पाईऐ भाई ॥
Saṯgur ṯe har pā▫ī▫ai bẖā▫ī.
From the True Guru, the Lord's Name is obtained, O Siblings of Destiny.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
अंतरि नामु निधानु है पूरै सतिगुरि दीआ दिखाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Anṯar nām niḏẖān hai pūrai saṯgur ḏī▫ā ḏikẖā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The treasure of the Naam is within; the Perfect True Guru has shown this to me. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਗਾਹਕੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਲਏ ਪਾਏ ਰਤਨੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ
हरि का गाहकु होवै सो लए पाए रतनु वीचारा ॥
Har kā gāhak hovai so la▫e pā▫e raṯan vīcẖārā.
One who is a buyer of the Lord's Name, finds it, and obtains the jewel of contemplation.

ਅੰਦਰੁ ਖੋਲੈ ਦਿਬ ਦਿਸਟਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
अंदरु खोलै दिब दिसटि देखै मुकति भंडारा ॥२॥
Anḏar kẖolai ḏib ḏisat ḏekẖai mukaṯ bẖandārā. ||2||
He opens the doors deep within, and through the Eyes of Divine Vision, beholds the treasure of liberation. ||2||

ਅੰਦਰਿ ਮਹਲ ਅਨੇਕ ਹਹਿ ਜੀਉ ਕਰੇ ਵਸੇਰਾ
अंदरि महल अनेक हहि जीउ करे वसेरा ॥
Anḏar mahal anek hėh jī▫o kare vaserā.
There are so many mansions within the body; the soul dwells within them.

ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਸੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਫੇਰਾ ॥੩॥
मन चिंदिआ फलु पाइसी फिरि होइ न फेरा ॥३॥
Man cẖinḏi▫ā fal pā▫isī fir ho▫e na ferā. ||3||
He obtains the fruits of his mind's desires, and he shall not have to go through reincarnation again. ||3||

ਪਾਰਖੀਆ ਵਥੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਲਈ ਗੁਰ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਈ
पारखीआ वथु समालि लई गुर सोझी होई ॥
Pārkẖī▫ā vath samāl la▫ī gur sojẖī ho▫ī.
The appraisers cherish the commodity of the Name; they obtain understanding from the Guru.

ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਅਮੁਲੁ ਸਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੪॥
नामु पदारथु अमुलु सा गुरमुखि पावै कोई ॥४॥
Nām paḏārath amul sā gurmukẖ pāvai ko▫ī. ||4||
The wealth of the Naam is priceless; how few are the Gurmukhs who obtain it. ||4||

ਬਾਹਰੁ ਭਾਲੇ ਸੁ ਕਿਆ ਲਹੈ ਵਥੁ ਘਰੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਭਾਈ
बाहरु भाले सु किआ लहै वथु घरै अंदरि भाई ॥
Bāhar bẖāle so ki▫ā lahai vath gẖarai anḏar bẖā▫ī.
Searching outwardly, what can anyone find? The commodity is deep within the home of the self, O Siblings of Destiny.

ਭਰਮੇ ਭੂਲਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੫॥
भरमे भूला सभु जगु फिरै मनमुखि पति गवाई ॥५॥
Bẖarme bẖūlā sabẖ jag firai manmukẖ paṯ gavā▫ī. ||5||
The entire world is wandering around, deluded by doubt; the self-willed manmukhs lose their honor. ||5||

ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਘਰੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੇ ਸੁਖੀਏ ਭਾਈ
जिन्ही घरु जाता आपणा से सुखीए भाई ॥
Jinĥī gẖar jāṯā āpṇā se sukẖī▫e bẖā▫ī.
Those who know their own home, are happy, O Siblings of Destiny.

ਚੋਰੈ ਵਾਂਗੂ ਪਕੜੀਐ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਈ ॥੬॥
चोरै वांगू पकड़ीऐ बिनु नावै चोटा खाई ॥६॥
Cẖorai vāʼngū pakṛī▫ai bin nāvai cẖotā kẖā▫ī. ||6||
Like a thief, he is caught, and without the Naam, he is beaten and struck down. ||6||

ਘਰੁ ਦਰੁ ਛੋਡੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰ ਘਰਿ ਝੂਠਾ ਜਾਈ
घरु दरु छोडे आपणा पर घरि झूठा जाई ॥
Gẖar ḏar cẖẖode āpṇā par gẖar jẖūṯẖā jā▫ī.
The false one leaves his own hearth and home, and goes out to another's home.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੭॥
अंतरि ब्रहमु पछाणिआ गुर की वडिआई ॥७॥
Anṯar barahm pacẖẖāṇi▫ā gur kī vadi▫ā▫ī. ||7||
They realize God within their own hearts, through the glorious greatness of the Guru. ||7||

ਆਪੇ ਦਾਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਖੀਐ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਬੁਝਾਈ
आपे दानु करे किसु आखीऐ आपे देइ बुझाई ॥
Āpe ḏān kare kis ākẖī▫ai āpe ḏe▫e bujẖā▫ī.
He Himself gives gifts, and He Himself bestows understanding; unto whom can we complain?

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂੰ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ॥੮॥੬॥੨੮॥
नानक नामु धिआइ तूं दरि सचै सोभा पाई ॥८॥६॥२८॥
Nānak nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e ṯūʼn ḏar sacẖai sobẖā pā▫ī. ||8||6||28||
O Nanak, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and you shall obtain glory in the True Court. ||8||6||28||
