ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥ अगम अगोचरु दरसु तेरा सो पाए जिसु मसतकि भागु ॥ Agam agochar ḋaras ṫéraa so paa▫é jis masṫak bʰaag. The Blessed Vision of Your Darshan is unapproachable and incomprehensible; he alone obtains it, who has such good destiny recorded upon his forehead. ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ आसा महला ५ ॥ Aasaa mėhlaa 5. Aasaa, Fifth Mehl: ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬਖਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥ आपि क्रिपालि क्रिपा प्रभि धारी सतिगुरि बखसिआ हरि नामु ॥१॥ Aap kirpaal kirpaa parabʰ ḋʰaaree saṫgur bakʰsi▫aa har naam. ||1|| The Merciful Lord God has bestowed His Mercy, and the True Guru has granted the Lord’s Name. ||1|| ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਉਧਾਰਿਆ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥ कलिजुगु उधारिआ गुरदेव ॥ Kalijug uḋʰaari▫aa gurḋév. The Divine Guru is the Saving Grace in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga. ਮਲ ਮੂਤ ਮੂੜ ਜਿ ਮੁਘਦ ਹੋਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਲਗੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ मल मूत मूड़ जि मुघद होते सभि लगे तेरी सेव ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Mal mooṫ mooṛ jė mugʰaḋ hoṫé sabʰ lagé ṫéree sév. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Even those fools and idiots, stained with feces and urine, have all taken to Your service. ||1||Pause|| ਤੂ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ तू आपि करता सभ स्रिसटि धरता सभ महि रहिआ समाइ ॥ Ṫoo aap karṫaa sabʰ sarisat ḋʰarṫaa sabʰ mėh rahi▫aa samaa▫é. You Yourself are the Creator, who established the entire world. You are contained in all. ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਭ ਪਈ ਪੈਰੀ ਆਇ ॥੨॥ धरम राजा बिसमादु होआ सभ पई पैरी आइ ॥२॥ Ḋʰaram raajaa bismaaḋ ho▫aa sabʰ pa▫ee pæree aa▫é. ||2|| The Righteous Judge of Dharma is wonder-struck, at the sight of everyone falling at the Lord’s Feet. ||2|| ਸਤਜੁਗੁ ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਦੁਆਪਰੁ ਭਣੀਐ ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਊਤਮੋ ਜੁਗਾ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ सतजुगु त्रेता दुआपरु भणीऐ कलिजुगु ऊतमो जुगा माहि ॥ Saṫjug ṫaréṫaa ḋu▫aapar bʰaṇee▫æ kalijug ooṫmo jugaa maahi. The Golden Age of Sat Yuga, the Silver Age of Trayta Yuga, and the Brass Age of Dwaapar Yuga are good; but the best is the Dark Age, the Iron Age, of Kali Yuga. ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਕੋਈ ਨ ਪਕੜੀਐ ਕਿਸੈ ਥਾਇ ॥੩॥ अहि करु करे सु अहि करु पाए कोई न पकड़ीऐ किसै थाइ ॥३॥ Ah kar karé so ah kar paa▫é ko▫ee na pakṛee▫æ kisæ ṫʰaa▫é. ||3|| As we act, so are the rewards we receive; no one can take the place of another. ||3|| ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਏਹੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ॥ हरि जीउ सोई करहि जि भगत तेरे जाचहि एहु तेरा बिरदु ॥ Har jee▫o so▫ee karahi jė bʰagaṫ ṫéré jaachėh éhu ṫéraa biraḋ. O Dear Lord, whatever Your devotees ask for, You do. This is Your Way, Your very nature. ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਅਪਣਿਆ ਸੰਤਾ ਦੇਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸੁ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੪੦॥ कर जोड़ि नानक दानु मागै अपणिआ संता देहि हरि दरसु ॥४॥५॥१४०॥ Kar joṛ Naanak ḋaan maagæ apṇi▫aa sanṫaa ḋėh har ḋaras. ||4||5||140|| With my palms pressed together, O Nanak! I beg for this gift; Lord, please bless Your Saints with Your Vision. ||4||5||140||
