ਤਿਤੁ ਸਰਵਰੜੈ ਭਈਲੇ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਾਵਕੁ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਕੀਆ ॥ तितु सरवरड़ै भईले निवासा पाणी पावकु तिनहि कीआ ॥ Ŧiṯ saravraṛai bẖa▫īle nivāsā pāṇī pāvak ṯinėh kī▫ā. In that pool of the world, the people have their homes; there, the Lord has created water and fire. ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਦੁਪਦੇ ॥ आसा महला १ दुपदे ॥ Āsā mėhlā 1 ḏupḏe. Aasaa, First Mehl, Du-Padas: ਮਨ ਏਕੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਸਿ ਮੂੜ ਮਨਾ ॥ मन एकु न चेतसि मूड़ मना ॥ Man ek na cẖeṯas mūṛ manā. O foolish people, why don't you remember the One Lord? ਪੰਕਜੁ ਮੋਹ ਪਗੁ ਨਹੀ ਚਾਲੈ ਹਮ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਡੂਬੀਅਲੇ ॥੧॥ पंकजु मोह पगु नही चालै हम देखा तह डूबीअले ॥१॥ Pankaj moh pag nahī cẖālai ham ḏekẖā ṯah dūbī▫ale. ||1|| In the mud of earthly attachment, their feet have become mired, and I have seen them drowning there. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਲਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ हरि बिसरत तेरे गुण गलिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Har bisraṯ ṯere guṇ gali▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o. Forgetting the Lord, your virtues shall wither away. ||1||Pause|| ਨਾ ਹਉ ਜਤੀ ਸਤੀ ਨਹੀ ਪੜਿਆ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਭਇਆ ॥ ना हउ जती सती नही पड़िआ मूरख मुगधा जनमु भइआ ॥ Nā ha▫o jaṯī saṯī nahī paṛi▫ā mūrakẖ mugḏẖā janam bẖa▫i▫ā. I am not a celibate, nor am I truthful, nor a scholar; I was born foolish and ignorant. ਪ੍ਰਣਵਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਤੂੰ ਨਾਹੀ ਵੀਸਰਿਆ ॥੨॥੨੯॥ प्रणवति नानक तिन्ह की सरणा जिन्ह तूं नाही वीसरिआ ॥२॥२९॥ Paraṇvaṯ Nānak ṯinĥ kī sarṇā jinĥ ṯūʼn nāhī vīsri▫ā. ||2||29|| Prays Nanak, I seek the Sanctuary of those who do not forget You, Lord. ||2||29||
