ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ॥ गउड़ी कबीर जी ॥ Ga▫oṛī Kabīr jī. Gauree, Kabeer Jee: ਜਿਹ ਕੁਲਿ ਪੂਤੁ ਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ जिह कुलि पूतु न गिआन बीचारी ॥ Jih kul pūṯ na gi▫ān bīcẖārī. That family, whose son has no spiritual wisdom or contemplation - ਜਨਮਤ ਕਸ ਨ ਮੁਓ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जनमत कस न मुओ अपराधी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Janmaṯ kas na mu▫o aprāḏẖī. ||1|| rahā▫o. why didn't such a sinful man die at birth? ||1||Pause|| ਬਿਧਵਾ ਕਸ ਨ ਭਈ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ बिधवा कस न भई महतारी ॥१॥ Biḏẖvā kas na bẖa▫ī mėhṯārī. ||1|| why didn't his mother just become a widow? ||1|| ਜਿਹ ਨਰ ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਹਿ ਸਾਧੀ ॥ जिह नर राम भगति नहि साधी ॥ Jih nar rām bẖagaṯ nėh sāḏẖī. That man who has not practiced devotional worship of the Lord - ਬੁਡਭੁਜ ਰੂਪ ਜੀਵੇ ਜਗ ਮਝਿਆ ॥੨॥ बुडभुज रूप जीवे जग मझिआ ॥२॥ Budbẖuj rūp jīve jag majẖi▫ā. ||2|| He lives his life in this world like a deformed amputee. ||2|| ਮੁਚੁ ਮੁਚੁ ਗਰਭ ਗਏ ਕੀਨ ਬਚਿਆ ॥ मुचु मुचु गरभ गए कीन बचिआ ॥ Mucẖ mucẖ garabẖ ga▫e kīn bacẖi▫ā. So many pregnancies end in miscarriage - why was this one spared? ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੈਸੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੂਪ ॥ कहु कबीर जैसे सुंदर सरूप ॥ Kaho Kabīr jaise sunḏar sarūp. Says Kabeer, beautiful and handsome people, ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਕੁਬਜ ਕੁਰੂਪ ॥੩॥੨੫॥ नाम बिना जैसे कुबज कुरूप ॥३॥२५॥ Nām binā jaise kubaj kurūp. ||3||25|| are just ugly hunch-backs without the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||3||25||
