ਧੋਹੁ ਨ ਚਲੀ ਖਸਮ ਨਾਲਿ ਲਬਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਗੁਤੇ ॥ धोहु न चली खसम नालि लबि मोहि विगुते ॥ Ḏẖohu na cẖalī kẖasam nāl lab mohi viguṯe. Deception does not work with our Lord and Master; through their greed and emotional attachment, people are ruined. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਕਰਤਬ ਕਰਨਿ ਭਲੇਰਿਆ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੁਤੇ ॥ करतब करनि भलेरिआ मदि माइआ सुते ॥ Karṯab karan bẖaleri▫ā maḏ mā▫i▫ā suṯe. They do their evil deeds, and sleep in the intoxication of Maya. ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੂਨਿ ਭਵਾਈਅਨਿ ਜਮ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਮੁਤੇ ॥ फिरि फिरि जूनि भवाईअनि जम मारगि मुते ॥ Fir fir jūn bẖavā▫ī▫an jam mārag muṯe. Time and time again, they are consigned to reincarnation, and abandoned on the path of Death. ਕੀਤਾ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੁਖ ਸੇਤੀ ਜੁਤੇ ॥ कीता पाइनि आपणा दुख सेती जुते ॥ Kīṯā pā▫in āpṇā ḏukẖ seṯī juṯe. They receive the consequences of their own actions, and are yoked to their pain. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਇ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਐ ਸਭ ਮੰਦੀ ਰੁਤੇ ॥੧੨॥ नानक नाइ विसारिऐ सभ मंदी रुते ॥१२॥ Nānak nā▫e visāri▫ai sabẖ manḏī ruṯe. ||12|| O Nanak, if one forgets the Name, all the seasons are evil. ||12||
