ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੋਭਾਣੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ॥ अमृतु छोडि बिखिआ लोभाणे सेवा करहि विडाणी ॥ Amriṫ chʰod bikʰi▫aa lobʰaaṇé sévaa karahi vidaaṇee. Discarding the Ambrosial Nectar, they greedily grab the poison; they serve others, instead of the Lord. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥ Sireeraag mėhlaa 3. Siree Raag, Third Mehl: ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧ ਨ ਚੇਤਹੀ ਡੂਬਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ मनमुख अंध न चेतही डूबि मुए बिनु पाणी ॥१॥ Manmukʰ anḋʰ na chéṫhee doob mu▫é bin paaṇee. ||1|| The blind, self-willed Manmukhs do not even think of the Lord; they are drowned to death without water. ||1|| ਆਪਣਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਗਵਾਵਹਿ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਦੁਖਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ॥ आपणा धरमु गवावहि बूझहि नाही अनदिनु दुखि विहाणी ॥ Aapṇaa ḋʰaram gavaavėh boojʰėh naahee an▫ḋin ḋukʰ vihaaṇee. They lose their faith, they have no understanding; night and day, they suffer with pain. ਮਨ ਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਭਜਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥ मन रे सदा भजहु हरि सरणाई ॥ Man ré saḋaa bʰajahu har sarṇaa▫ee. O mind, vibrate and meditate forever on the Lord; seek the Protection of His Sanctuary. ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुर का सबदु अंतरि वसै ता हरि विसरि न जाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gur kaa sabaḋ anṫar vasæ ṫaa har visar na jaa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. If the Word of the Guru’s Shabad abides deep within, then you shall not forget the Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਇਹੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੁਸਟੀ ਪਾਈ ॥ इहु सरीरु माइआ का पुतला विचि हउमै दुसटी पाई ॥ Ih sareer maa▫i▫aa kaa puṫlaa vich ha▫umæ ḋustee paa▫ee. This body is the puppet of Maya. The evil of egotism is within it. ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣਾ ਜੰਮਣੁ ਮਰਣਾ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥ आवणु जाणा जंमणु मरणा मनमुखि पति गवाई ॥ Aavaṇ jaaṇaa jamaṇ marṇaa manmukʰ paṫ gavaa▫ee. Coming and going through birth and death, the self-willed Manmukhs lose their honor. ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੨॥ सतगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ जोती जोति मिलाई ॥२॥ Saṫgur sév saḋaa sukʰ paa▫i▫aa joṫee joṫ milaa▫ee. ||2|| Serving the True Guru, eternal peace is obtained, and one’s light merges into the Light. ||2|| ਸਤਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤਿ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਜੋ ਇਛੇ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ सतगुर की सेवा अति सुखाली जो इछे सो फलु पाए ॥ Saṫgur kee sévaa aṫ sukʰaalee jo ichʰé so fal paa▫é. Serving the True Guru brings a deep and profound peace, and one’s desires are fulfilled. ਜਤੁ ਸਤੁ ਤਪੁ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਸਰੀਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥ जतु सतु तपु पवितु सरीरा हरि हरि मंनि वसाए ॥ Jaṫ saṫ ṫap paviṫ sareeraa har har man vasaa▫é. Abstinence, truthfulness and self-discipline are obtained, and the body is purified; the Lord, Har, Har, comes to dwell within the mind. ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦਿ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥ सदा अनंदि रहै दिनु राती मिलि प्रीतम सुखु पाए ॥३॥ Saḋaa anand rahæ ḋin raaṫee mil pareeṫam sukʰ paa▫é. ||3|| Such a person remains blissful forever, day and night. Meeting the Beloved, peace is found. ||3|| ਜੋ ਸਤਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥ जो सतगुर की सरणागती हउ तिन कै बलि जाउ ॥ Jo saṫgur kee sarṇaagaṫee ha▫o ṫin kæ bal jaa▫o. I am a sacrifice to those who seek the Sanctuary of the True Guru. ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਚੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥ दरि सचै सची वडिआई सहजे सचि समाउ ॥ Ḋar sachæ sachee vadi▫aa▫ee sėhjé sach samaa▫o. In the Court of the True One, they are blessed with true greatness; they are intuitively absorbed into the True Lord. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਉ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੪੫॥ नानक नदरी पाईऐ गुरमुखि मेलि मिलाउ ॥४॥१२॥४५॥ Naanak naḋree paa▫ee▫æ gurmukʰ mél milaa▫o. ||4||12||45|| O Nanak! By His Glance of Grace He is found; the Gurmukh is united in His Union. ||4||12||45||
