ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਖੇਤੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਿਰਸਾਣੀ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ हरि प्रभ का सभु खेतु है हरि आपि किरसाणी लाइआ ॥ Har parabẖ kā sabẖ kẖeṯ hai har āp kirsāṇī lā▫i▫ā. Everyone is the field of the Lord God; the Lord Himself cultivates this field. ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੪ ॥ सलोक मः ४ ॥ Salok mėhlā 4. Shalok, Fourth Mehl: ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਬੀਜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਲੇ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਖੇਤੁ ਜਮਾਇਆ ॥ सभु को बीजे आपणे भले नो हरि भावै सो खेतु जमाइआ ॥ Sabẖ ko bīje āpṇe bẖale no har bẖāvai so kẖeṯ jamā▫i▫ā. They all plant for their own good, but the Lord causes to grow only that field with which He is pleased. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਜਮਾਈਅਨੁ ਮਨਮੁਖੀ ਮੂਲੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ गुरमुखि बखसि जमाईअनु मनमुखी मूलु गवाइआ ॥ Gurmukẖ bakẖas jamā▫ī▫an manmukẖī mūl gavā▫i▫ā. The Gurmukh grows the crop of forgiveness, while the self-willed manmukh loses even his roots. ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਫਲੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ गुरसिखी हरि अम्रितु बीजिआ हरि अम्रित नामु फलु अम्रितु पाइआ ॥ Gursikẖī har amriṯ bīji▫ā har amriṯ nām fal amriṯ pā▫i▫ā. The GurSikh plants the seed of the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar, and obtains the Lord's Ambrosial Naam as his Ambrosial Fruit. ਜਮੁ ਚੂਹਾ ਕਿਰਸ ਨਿਤ ਕੁਰਕਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਢਾਇਆ ॥ जमु चूहा किरस नित कुरकदा हरि करतै मारि कढाइआ ॥ Jam cẖūhā kiras niṯ kurkaḏā har karṯai mār kadẖā▫i▫ā. The mouse of Death is continually gnawing away at the crop, but the Creator Lord has beaten it off and driven it away. ਕਿਰਸਾਣੀ ਜੰਮੀ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਹਲ ਬਖਸ ਜਮਾਇਆ ॥ किरसाणी जमी भाउ करि हरि बोहल बखस जमाइआ ॥ Kirsāṇī jammī bẖā▫o kar har bohal bakẖas jamā▫i▫ā. The farm was successful, by the Love of the Lord, and the crop was produced by God's Grace. ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਕਾੜਾ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ਸਭੁ ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ तिन का काड़ा अंदेसा सभु लाहिओनु जिनी सतिगुरु पुरखु धिआइआ ॥ Ŧin kā kāṛā anḏesā sabẖ lāhi▫on jinī saṯgur purakẖ ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā. He has removed all the burning and anxiety of those, who have meditated on the True Guru, the Primal Being. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਆਪਿ ਤਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ जन नानक नामु अराधिआ आपि तरिआ सभु जगतु तराइआ ॥१॥ Jan Nānak nām arāḏẖi▫ā āp ṯari▫ā sabẖ jagaṯ ṯarā▫i▫ā. ||1|| O servant Nanak, one who worships and adores the Naam, the Name of the Lord, swims across, and saves the whole world as well. ||1||
