ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੪ ॥ सलोक मः ४ ॥ Salok mėhlā 4. Shalok, Fourth Mehl: ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਧਰਤੀ ਧਰਮ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੇਹਾ ਕੋ ਬੀਜੇ ਤੇਹਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ सतिगुरु धरती धरम है तिसु विचि जेहा को बीजे तेहा फलु पाए ॥ Saṯgur ḏẖarṯī ḏẖaram hai ṯis vicẖ jehā ko bīje ṯehā fal pā▫e. The True Guru is the field of Dharma; as one plants the seeds there, so are the fruits obtained. ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਫਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ॥ गुरसिखी अम्रितु बीजिआ तिन अम्रित फलु हरि पाए ॥ Gursikẖī amriṯ bīji▫ā ṯin amriṯ fal har pā▫e. The GurSikhs plant ambrosial nectar, and obtain the Lord as their ambrosial fruit. ਓਨਾ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਓਇ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਚੀ ਪੈਨਾਏ ॥ ओना हलति पलति मुख उजले ओइ हरि दरगह सची पैनाए ॥ Onā halaṯ palaṯ mukẖ ujle o▫e har ḏargėh sacẖī painā▫e. Their faces are radiant in this world and the next; in the Court of the Lord, they are robed with honor. ਇਕਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਖੋਟੁ ਨਿਤ ਖੋਟੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਓਹੁ ਜੇਹਾ ਬੀਜੇ ਤੇਹਾ ਫਲੁ ਖਾਏ ॥ इकन्हा अंदरि खोटु नित खोटु कमावहि ओहु जेहा बीजे तेहा फलु खाए ॥ Iknĥā anḏar kẖot niṯ kẖot kamāvėh oh jehā bīje ṯehā fal kẖā▫e. Some have cruelty in their hearts - they constantly act in cruelty; as they plant, so are the fruits which they eat. ਜਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਰਾਫੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਆਵਗੀਰ ਸਭਿ ਉਘੜਿ ਆਏ ॥ जा सतिगुरु सराफु नदरि करि देखै सुआवगीर सभि उघड़ि आए ॥ Jā saṯgur sarāf naḏar kar ḏekẖai su▫āvgīr sabẖ ugẖaṛ ā▫e. When the True Guru, the Tester, observes with His Glance, the selfish ones are all exposed. ਓਇ ਜੇਹਾ ਚਿਤਵਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਤੇਹਾ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਓਇ ਤੇਹੋ ਜੇਹੇ ਦਯਿ ਵਜਾਏ ॥ ओइ जेहा चितवहि नित तेहा पाइनि ओइ तेहो जेहे दयि वजाए ॥ O▫e jehā cẖiṯvahi niṯ ṯehā pā▫in o▫e ṯeho jehe ḏa▫yi vajā▫e. As one thinks, so does he receive, and so does the Lord make him known. ਨਾਨਕ ਦੁਹੀ ਸਿਰੀ ਖਸਮੁ ਆਪੇ ਵਰਤੈ ਨਿਤ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਚਲਤ ਸਬਾਏ ॥੧॥ नानक दुही सिरी खसमु आपे वरतै नित करि करि देखै चलत सबाए ॥१॥ Nānak ḏuhī sirī kẖasam āpe varṯai niṯ kar kar ḏekẖai cẖalaṯ sabā▫e. ||1|| O Nanak, the Lord and Master is pervading at both ends; He continually acts, and beholds His own play. ||1||
