ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੪ ॥ सिरीरागु महला १ घरु ४ ॥ Sirīrāg mėhlā 1 gẖar 4. Siree Raag, First Mehl, Fourth House: ਕੀਤਾ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੇ ਮਨਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥ कीता कहा करे मनि मानु ॥ Kīṯā kahā kare man mān. Why should the created beings feel pride in their minds? ਕੀਤੇ ਕੈ ਕਹਿਐ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ कीते कै कहिऐ किआ होइ ॥१॥ Kīṯe kai kahi▫ai ki▫ā ho▫e. ||1|| What can be done by the order of the created beings? ||1|| ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੇ ਕੈ ਹਥਿ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ देवणहारे कै हथि दानु ॥ Ḏevaṇhāre kai hath ḏān. The Gift is in the Hands of the Great Giver. ਭਾਵੈ ਦੇਇ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਸੋਇ ॥ भावै देइ न देई सोइ ॥ Bẖāvai ḏe▫e na ḏe▫ī so▫e. As it pleases Him, He may give, or not give. ਆਪੇ ਸਚੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਚੁ ॥ आपे सचु भावै तिसु सचु ॥ Āpe sacẖ bẖāvai ṯis sacẖ. He Himself is True; Truth is pleasing to His Will. ਅੰਧਾ ਕਚਾ ਕਚੁ ਨਿਕਚੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ अंधा कचा कचु निकचु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Anḏẖā kacẖā kacẖ nikacẖ. ||1|| rahā▫o. The spiritually blind are unripe and imperfect, inferior and worthless. ||1||Pause|| ਜਾ ਕੇ ਰੁਖ ਬਿਰਖ ਆਰਾਉ ॥ जा के रुख बिरख आराउ ॥ Jā ke rukẖ birakẖ ārā▫o. The One who owns the trees of the forest and the plants of the garden - ਜੇਹੀ ਧਾਤੁ ਤੇਹਾ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਉ ॥ जेही धातु तेहा तिन नाउ ॥ Jehī ḏẖāṯ ṯehā ṯin nā▫o. according to their nature, He gives them all their names. ਫੁਲੁ ਭਾਉ ਫਲੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇ ॥ फुलु भाउ फलु लिखिआ पाइ ॥ Ful bẖā▫o fal likẖi▫ā pā▫e. The Flower and the Fruit of the Lord's Love are obtained by pre-ordained destiny. ਆਪਿ ਬੀਜਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਖਾਇ ॥੨॥ आपि बीजि आपे ही खाइ ॥२॥ Āp bīj āpe hī kẖā▫e. ||2|| As we plant, so we harvest and eat. ||2|| ਕਚੀ ਕੰਧ ਕਚਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਰਾਜੁ ॥ कची कंध कचा विचि राजु ॥ Kacẖī kanḏẖ kacẖā vicẖ rāj. The wall of the body is temporary, as is the soul-mason within it. ਮਤਿ ਅਲੂਣੀ ਫਿਕਾ ਸਾਦੁ ॥ मति अलूणी फिका सादु ॥ Maṯ alūṇī fikā sāḏ. The flavor of the intellect is bland and insipid without the Salt. ਨਾਨਕ ਆਣੇ ਆਵੈ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ नानक आणे आवै रासि ॥ Nānak āṇe āvai rās. O Nanak, as He wills, He makes things right. ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ॥੩॥੩੨॥ विणु नावै नाही साबासि ॥३॥३२॥ viṇ nāvai nāhī sābās. ||3||32|| Without the Name, no one is approved. ||3||32|| ਜਿਉ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਹੈ ਇਸੁ ਲੋਭੀ ਕਾ ਜੀਉ ਟਲ ਪਲੈ ॥੧॥ जिउ साहिबु राखै तिउ रहै इसु लोभी का जीउ टल पलै ॥१॥ Ji▫o sāhib rākẖai ṯi▫o rahai is lobẖī kā jī▫o tal palai. ||1|| As our Lord and Master keeps us, so do we exist. The soul of this greedy person is tossed this way and that. ||1|| ਅਛਲ ਛਲਾਈ ਨਹ ਛਲੈ ਨਹ ਘਾਉ ਕਟਾਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਸਕੈ ॥ अछल छलाई नह छलै नह घाउ कटारा करि सकै ॥ Acẖẖal cẖẖalā▫ī nah cẖẖalai nah gẖā▫o katārā kar sakai. The Undeceiveable is not deceived by deception. He cannot be wounded by any dagger.
