ਸੁਣਿ ਸਖੀਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰੇਹਾ ਮਨਾਇ ਲੈਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਤੈ ॥ सुणि सखीए मिलि उदमु करेहा मनाइ लैहि हरि कंतै ॥ Suṇ sakẖī▫e mil uḏam karehā manā▫e laihi har kanṯai. Listen, O my companions: let's join together and make the effort, to surrender to our Husband Lord. ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गउड़ी महला ५ ॥ Ga▫oṛī mėhlā 5. Gauree, Fifth Mehl: ਸਖੀ ਵਸਿ ਆਇਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਇਹ ਰੀਤਿ ਭਲੀ ਭਗਵੰਤੈ ॥ सखी वसि आइआ फिरि छोडि न जाई इह रीति भली भगवंतै ॥ Sakẖī vas ā▫i▫ā fir cẖẖod na jā▫ī ih rīṯ bẖalī bẖagvanṯai. O my companions, when He comes under our power, He shall never leave us again. This is the good nature of the Lord God. ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਕਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਠਗਉਰੀ ਮੋਹਹ ਸਾਧੂ ਮੰਤੈ ॥ मानु तिआगि करि भगति ठगउरी मोहह साधू मंतै ॥ Mān ṯi▫āg kar bẖagaṯ ṯẖag▫urī mohah sāḏẖū manṯai. Renouncing our pride, let's charm Him with the potion of devotional worship, and the mantra of the Holy Saints. ਨਾਨਕ ਜਰਾ ਮਰਣ ਭੈ ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਕਰੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੰਤੈ ॥੧॥ नानक जरा मरण भै नरक निवारै पुनीत करै तिसु जंतै ॥१॥ Nānak jarā maraṇ bẖai narak nivārai punīṯ karai ṯis janṯai. ||1|| O Nanak, God dispels the fear of old age, death and hell; He purifies His beings. ||1|| ਸੁਣਿ ਸਖੀਏ ਇਹ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਏਹੁ ਮਤਾਂਤੁ ਪਕਾਈਐ ॥ सुणि सखीए इह भली बिनंती एहु मतांतु पकाईऐ ॥ Suṇ sakẖī▫e ih bẖalī binanṯī ehu maṯāʼnṯ pakā▫ī▫ai. Listen, O my companions, to my sincere prayer: let's make this firm resolve. ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਰਹਤ ਹੋਇ ਗੀਤ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਹਿ ਗਾਈਐ ॥ सहजि सुभाइ उपाधि रहत होइ गीत गोविंदहि गाईऐ ॥ Sahj subẖā▫e upāḏẖ rahaṯ ho▫e gīṯ govinḏėh gā▫ī▫ai. In the peaceful poise of intuitive bliss, violence will be gone, as we sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ कलि कलेस मिटहि भ्रम नासहि मनि चिंदिआ फलु पाईऐ ॥ Kal kales mitėh bẖaram nāsėh man cẖinḏi▫ā fal pā▫ī▫ai. Our pains and troubles shall be eradicated, and our doubts shall be dispelled; we will receive the fruits of our minds' desires. ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੨॥ पारब्रहम पूरन परमेसर नानक नामु धिआईऐ ॥२॥ Pārbarahm pūran parmesar Nānak nām ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai. ||2|| O Nanak, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Supreme Lord God, the Perfect, Transcendent Lord. ||2|| ਸਖੀ ਇਛ ਕਰੀ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਖ ਮਨਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਸ ਪੁਜਾਏ ॥ सखी इछ करी नित सुख मनाई प्रभ मेरी आस पुजाए ॥ Sakẖī icẖẖ karī niṯ sukẖ manā▫ī parabẖ merī ās pujā▫e. O my companions, I yearn for Him continually; I invoke His Blessings, and pray that God may fulfill my hopes. ਚਰਨ ਪਿਆਸੀ ਦਰਸ ਬੈਰਾਗਨਿ ਪੇਖਉ ਥਾਨ ਸਬਾਏ ॥ चरन पिआसी दरस बैरागनि पेखउ थान सबाए ॥ Cẖaran pi▫āsī ḏaras bairāgan pekẖa▫o thān sabā▫e. I thirst for His Feet, and I long for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; I look for Him everywhere. ਖੋਜਿ ਲਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਸੰਗੁ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥ खोजि लहउ हरि संत जना संगु सम्रिथ पुरख मिलाए ॥ Kẖoj laha▫o har sanṯ janā sang sammrith purakẖ milā▫e. I search for traces of the Lord in the Society of the Saints; they will unite me with the All-powerful Primal Lord God. ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਰਿਜਨੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਾਏ ॥੩॥ नानक तिन मिलिआ सुरिजनु सुखदाता से वडभागी माए ॥३॥ Nānak ṯin mili▫ā surijan sukẖ▫ḏāṯa se vadbẖāgī mā▫e. ||3|| O Nanak, those humble, noble beings who meet the Lord, the Giver of peace, are very blessed, O my mother. ||3|| ਸਖੀ ਨਾਲਿ ਵਸਾ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਨਾਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਿਲਿਆ ॥ सखी नालि वसा अपुने नाह पिआरे मेरा मनु तनु हरि संगि हिलिआ ॥ Sakẖī nāl vasā apune nāh pi▫āre merā man ṯan har sang hili▫ā. O my companions, now I dwell with my Beloved Husband; my mind and body are attuned to the Lord. ਸੁਣਿ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੇਰੀ ਨੀਦ ਭਲੀ ਮੈ ਆਪਨੜਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ॥ सुणि सखीए मेरी नीद भली मै आपनड़ा पिरु मिलिआ ॥ Suṇ sakẖī▫e merī nīḏ bẖalī mai āpnaṛā pir mili▫ā. Listen, O my companions: now I sleep well, since I found my Husband Lord. ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਖੋਇਓ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਭਇਆ ਕਉਲੁ ਖਿਲਿਆ ॥ भ्रमु खोइओ सांति सहजि सुआमी परगासु भइआ कउलु खिलिआ ॥ Bẖaram kẖo▫i▫o sāʼnṯ sahj su▫āmī pargās bẖa▫i▫ā ka▫ul kẖili▫ā. My doubts have been dispelled, and I have found intuitive peace and tranquility through my Lord and Master. I have been enlightened, and my heart-lotus has blossomed forth. ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਨ ਟਲਿਆ ॥੪॥੪॥੨॥੫॥੧੧॥ वरु पाइआ प्रभु अंतरजामी नानक सोहागु न टलिआ ॥४॥४॥२॥५॥११॥ var pā▫i▫ā parabẖ anṯarjāmī Nānak sohāg na tali▫ā. ||4||4||2||5||11|| I have obtained God, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, as my Husband; O Nanak, my marriage shall last forever. ||4||4||2||5||11|| ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰਾ ॥ गुरदेव माता गुरदेव पिता गुरदेव सुआमी परमेसुरा ॥ Gurḏev māṯā gurḏev piṯā gurḏev su▫āmī parmesurā. The Divine Guru is my mother, the Divine Guru is my father; the Divine Guru is my Transcendent Lord and Master.
