ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गउड़ी महला ५ ॥ Ga▫oṛī mėhlā 5. Gauree, Fifth Mehl: ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਜੋ ਅੰਤਿ ਨਿਬਾਹੈ ॥ आदि मधि जो अंति निबाहै ॥ Āḏ maḏẖ jo anṯ nibāhai. The one who shall stand by me in the beginning, in the middle and in the end, ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਾਲੈ ॥ हरि की प्रीति सदा संगि चालै ॥ Har kī parīṯ saḏā sang cẖālai. The Lord's Love goes with us forever. ਸੋ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਚਾਹੈ ॥੧॥ सो साजनु मेरा मनु चाहै ॥१॥ So sājan merā man cẖāhai. ||1|| my mind longs for that Friend. ||1|| ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ दइआल पुरख पूरन प्रतिपालै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Ḏa▫i▫āl purakẖ pūran paraṯipālai. ||1|| rahā▫o. The Perfect and Merciful Lord cherishes all. ||1||Pause|| ਬਿਨਸਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ बिनसत नाही छोडि न जाइ ॥ Binsaṯ nāhī cẖẖod na jā▫e. He shall never perish, and He shall never abandon me. ਜਹ ਪੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ जह पेखा तह रहिआ समाइ ॥२॥ Jah pekẖā ṯah rahi▫ā samā▫e. ||2|| Wherever I look, there I see Him pervading and permeating. ||2|| ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਚਤੁਰੁ ਜੀਅ ਦਾਤਾ ॥ सुंदरु सुघड़ु चतुरु जीअ दाता ॥ Sunḏar sugẖaṛ cẖaṯur jī▫a ḏāṯā. He is Beautiful, All-knowing, the most Clever, the Giver of life. ਭਾਈ ਪੂਤੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਾਤਾ ॥੩॥ भाई पूतु पिता प्रभु माता ॥३॥ Bẖā▫ī pūṯ piṯā parabẖ māṯā. ||3|| God is my Brother, Son, Father and Mother. ||3|| ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ जीवन प्रान अधार मेरी रासि ॥ Jīvan parān aḏẖār merī rās. He is the Support of the breath of life; He is my Wealth. ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਈ ਕਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸਿ ॥੪॥ प्रीति लाई करि रिदै निवासि ॥४॥ Parīṯ lā▫ī kar riḏai nivās. ||4|| Abiding within my heart, He inspires me to enshrine love for Him. ||4|| ਮਾਇਆ ਸਿਲਕ ਕਾਟੀ ਗੋਪਾਲਿ ॥ माइआ सिलक काटी गोपालि ॥ Mā▫i▫ā silak kātī gopāl. The Lord of the World has cut away the noose of Maya. ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਲੀਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ॥੫॥ करि अपुना लीनो नदरि निहालि ॥५॥ Kar apunā līno naḏar nihāl. ||5|| He has made me His own, blessing me with His Glance of Grace. ||5|| ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਕਾਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ॥ सिमरि सिमरि काटे सभि रोग ॥ Simar simar kāte sabẖ rog. Remembering, remembering Him in meditation, all diseases are healed. ਚਰਣ ਧਿਆਨ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਭੋਗ ॥੬॥ चरण धिआन सरब सुख भोग ॥६॥ Cẖaraṇ ḏẖi▫ān sarab sukẖ bẖog. ||6|| Meditating on His Feet, all comforts are enjoyed. ||6|| ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਵਤਨੁ ਨਿਤ ਬਾਲਾ ॥ पूरन पुरखु नवतनु नित बाला ॥ Pūran purakẖ navṯan niṯ bālā. The Perfect Primal Lord is Ever-fresh and Ever-young. ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥੭॥ हरि अंतरि बाहरि संगि रखवाला ॥७॥ Har anṯar bāhar sang rakẖvālā. ||7|| The Lord is with me, inwardly and outwardly, as my Protector. ||7|| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਦੁ ਚੀਨ ॥ कहु नानक हरि हरि पदु चीन ॥ Kaho Nānak har har paḏ cẖīn. Says Nanak, that devotee who realizes the state of the Lord, Har, Har, ਸਰਬਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤ ਕਉ ਦੀਨ ॥੮॥੧੧॥ सरबसु नामु भगत कउ दीन ॥८॥११॥ Sarbas nām bẖagaṯ ka▫o ḏīn. ||8||11|| is blessed with the treasure of the Naam. ||8||11||
