ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥ नामु भगत कै प्रान अधारु ॥ Naam bʰagaṫ kæ paraan aḋʰaar. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Support of the breath of life of His devotees. ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गउड़ी महला ५ ॥ Ga▫oṛee mėhlaa 5. Gauree, Fifth Mehl: ਨਾਮ ਵਡਾਈ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਏ ॥ नाम वडाई जनु सोभा पाए ॥ Naam vadaa▫ee jan sobʰaa paa▫é. By the greatness of the Naam, His humble servants are blessed with glory. ਨਾਮੋ ਧਨੁ ਨਾਮੋ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ नामो धनु नामो बिउहारु ॥१॥ Naamo ḋʰan naamo bi▫uhaar. ||1|| The Naam is their wealth, the Naam is their occupation. ||1|| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਦਿਵਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ करि किरपा जिसु आपि दिवाए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Kar kirpaa jis aap ḋivaa▫é. ||1|| rahaa▫o. The Lord Himself bestows it, in His Mercy. ||1||Pause|| ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤ ਕੈ ਸੁਖ ਅਸਥਾਨੁ ॥ नामु भगत कै सुख असथानु ॥ Naam bʰagaṫ kæ sukʰ asṫʰaan. The Naam is the home of peace of His devotees. ਨਾਮ ਰਤੁ ਸੋ ਭਗਤੁ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥੨॥ नाम रतु सो भगतु परवानु ॥२॥ Naam raṫ so bʰagaṫ parvaan. ||2|| Attuned to the Naam, His devotees are approved. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਧਾਰੈ ॥ हरि का नामु जन कउ धारै ॥ Har kaa naam jan ka▫o ḋʰaaræ. The Name of the Lord is the support of His humble servants. ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰੈ ॥੩॥ सासि सासि जनु नामु समारै ॥३॥ Saas saas jan naam samaaræ. ||3|| With each and every breath, they remember the Naam. ||3|| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭਾਗੁ ॥ कहु नानक जिसु पूरा भागु ॥ Kaho Naanak jis pooraa bʰaag. Says Nanak, those who have perfect destiny - ਨਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗੁ ॥੪॥੪੯॥੧੧੮॥ नाम संगि ता का मनु लागु ॥४॥४९॥११८॥ Naam sang ṫaa kaa man laag. ||4||49||118|| their minds are attached to the Naam. ||4||49||118||
