ਹਸਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹੋਹਿ ਤਤਕਾਲ ॥ हसत पुनीत होहि ततकाल ॥ Hasaṫ puneeṫ hohi ṫaṫkaal. The hands are sanctified instantly, ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गउड़ी गुआरेरी महला ५ ॥ Ga▫oṛee gu▫aaréree mėhlaa 5. Gauree Gwaarayree, Fifth Mehl: ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥ बिनसि जाहि माइआ जंजाल ॥ Binas jaahi maa▫i▫aa janjaal. and the entanglements of Maya are dispelled. ਰਸਨਾ ਰਮਹੁ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਨੀਤ ॥ रसना रमहु राम गुण नीत ॥ Rasnaa ramhu raam guṇ neeṫ. Repeat constantly with your tongue the Glorious Praises of the Lord, ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤ ॥੧॥ सुखु पावहु मेरे भाई मीत ॥१॥ Sukʰ paavhu méré bʰaa▫ee meeṫ. ||1|| and you shall find peace, O my friends, O Siblings of Destiny. ||1|| ਲਿਖੁ ਲੇਖਣਿ ਕਾਗਦਿ ਮਸਵਾਣੀ ॥ लिखु लेखणि कागदि मसवाणी ॥ Likʰ lékʰaṇ kaagaḋ masvaaṇee. With pen and ink, write upon your paper ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ राम नाम हरि अमृत बाणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Raam naam har amriṫ baṇee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. the Name of the Lord, the Ambrosial Word of the Lord’s Bani. ||1||Pause|| ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਹਿ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥ इह कारजि तेरे जाहि बिकार ॥ Ih kaaraj ṫéré jaahi bikaar. By this act, your sins shall be washed away. ਸਿਮਰਤ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮ ਮਾਰ ॥ सिमरत राम नाही जम मार ॥ Simraṫ raam naahee jam maar. Remembering the Lord in meditation, you shall not be punished by the Messenger of Death. ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕੇ ਦੂਤ ਨ ਜੋਹੈ ॥ धरम राइ के दूत न जोहै ॥ Ḋʰaram raa▫é ké ḋooṫ na johæ. The couriers of the Righteous Judge of Dharma shall not touch you. ਮਾਇਆ ਮਗਨ ਨ ਕਛੂਐ ਮੋਹੈ ॥੨॥ माइआ मगन न कछूऐ मोहै ॥२॥ Maa▫i▫aa magan na kachʰoo▫æ mohæ. ||2|| The intoxication of Maya shall not entice you at all. ||2|| ਆਪਿ ਕਮਾਉ ਅਵਰਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ ॥ आपि कमाउ अवरा उपदेस ॥ Aap kamaa▫o avraa upḋés. Practice this yourself, and teach others; ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਪਰਵੇਸ ॥੩॥ राम नाम हिरदै परवेस ॥३॥ Raam naam hirḋæ parvés. ||3|| instill the Lord’s Name in your heart. ||3|| ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ॥ राम नाम जपि एकंकारु ॥ Raam naam jap ékankaar. if you chant the Name of the One and Only Lord. ਉਧਰਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ उधरहि आपि तरै संसारु ॥ Uḋʰrahi aap ṫaræ sansaar. You shall be redeemed, and through you, the whole world shall be saved, ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਾਥੈ ਏਹੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥ जा कै माथै एहु निधानु ॥ Jaa kæ maaṫʰæ éhu niḋʰaan. That person, who has this treasure upon his forehead - ਸੋਈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਪੈ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥ सोई पुरखु जपै भगवानु ॥ So▫ee purakʰ japæ bʰagvaan. that person meditates on God. ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥ आठ पहर हरि हरि गुण गाउ ॥ Aatʰ pahar har har guṇ gaa▫o. Twenty-four hours a day, chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੯੭॥ कहु नानक हउ तिसु बलि जाउ ॥४॥२८॥९७॥ Kaho Naanak ha▫o ṫis bal jaa▫o. ||4||28||97|| Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to Him. ||4||28||97||
