ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ गउड़ी गुआरेरी महला ५ ॥ Ga▫oṛī gu▫ārerī mėhlā 5. Gauree Gwaarayree, Fifth Mehl: ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥ सतिगुर दरसनि अगनि निवारी ॥ Saṯgur ḏarsan agan nivārī. By the Blessed Vision of the True Guru's Darshan, the fire of desire is quenched. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥ सतिगुर भेटत हउमै मारी ॥ Saṯgur bẖetaṯ ha▫umai mārī. Meeting the True Guru, egotism is subdued. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਡੋਲੈ ॥ सतिगुर संगि नाही मनु डोलै ॥ Saṯgur sang nāhī man dolai. In the Company of the True Guru, the mind does not waver. ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੈ ॥੧॥ अम्रित बाणी गुरमुखि बोलै ॥१॥ Amriṯ baṇī gurmukẖ bolai. ||1|| The Gurmukh speaks the Ambrosial Word of Gurbani. ||1|| ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਾ ਸਚ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥ सभु जगु साचा जा सच महि राते ॥ Sabẖ jag sācẖā jā sacẖ mėh rāṯe. He sees the True One pervading the whole world; he is imbued with the True One. ਸੀਤਲ ਸਾਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सीतल साति गुर ते प्रभ जाते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Sīṯal sāṯ gur ṯe parabẖ jāṯe. ||1|| rahā▫o. I have become cool and tranquil, knowing God, through the Guru. ||1||Pause|| ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥ संत प्रसादि जपै हरि नाउ ॥ Sanṯ parsāḏ japai har nā▫o. By the Grace of the Saints, one chants the Lord's Name. ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਉ ॥ संत प्रसादि हरि कीरतनु गाउ ॥ Sanṯ parsāḏ har kīrṯan gā▫o. By the Grace of the Saints, one sings the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises. ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਖ ਮਿਟੇ ॥ संत प्रसादि सगल दुख मिटे ॥ Sanṯ parsāḏ sagal ḏukẖ mite. By the Grace of the Saints, all pains are erased. ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੇ ॥੨॥ संत प्रसादि बंधन ते छुटे ॥२॥ Sanṯ parsāḏ banḏẖan ṯe cẖẖute. ||2|| By the Grace of the Saints, one is released from bondage. ||2|| ਸੰਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮ ॥ संत क्रिपा ते मिटे मोह भरम ॥ Sanṯ kirpā ṯe mite moh bẖaram. By the kind Mercy of the Saints, emotional attachment and doubt are removed. ਸਾਧ ਰੇਣ ਮਜਨ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਮ ॥ साध रेण मजन सभि धरम ॥ Sāḏẖ reṇ majan sabẖ ḏẖaram. Taking a bath in the dust of the feet of the Holy - this is true Dharmic faith. ਸਾਧ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ॥ साध क्रिपाल दइआल गोविंदु ॥ Sāḏẖ kirpāl ḏa▫i▫āl govinḏ. By the kindness of the Holy, the Lord of the Universe becomes merciful. ਸਾਧਾ ਮਹਿ ਇਹ ਹਮਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥੩॥ साधा महि इह हमरी जिंदु ॥३॥ Sāḏẖā mėh ih hamrī jinḏ. ||3|| The life of my soul is with the Holy. ||3|| ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥ किरपा निधि किरपाल धिआवउ ॥ Kirpā niḏẖ kirpāl ḏẖi▫āva▫o. Meditating on the Merciful Lord, the Treasure of Mercy, ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਬੈਠਣੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥ साधसंगि ता बैठणु पावउ ॥ Sāḏẖsang ṯā baiṯẖaṇ pāva▫o. I have obtained a seat in the Saadh Sangat. ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਇਆ ॥ मोहि निरगुण कउ प्रभि कीनी दइआ ॥ Mohi nirguṇ ka▫o parabẖ kīnī ḏa▫i▫ā. I am worthless, but God has been kind to me. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਇਆ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੯੧॥ साधसंगि नानक नामु लइआ ॥४॥२२॥९१॥ Sāḏẖsang Nānak nām la▫i▫ā. ||4||22||91|| In the Saadh Sangat, Nanak has taken to the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||22||91||
