ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਲਗਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥ मै हरि नामै हरि बिरहु लगाई जीउ ॥ Mai har nāmai har birahu lagā▫ī jī▫o. The Lord has implanted a longing for the Lord's Name within me. ਗਉੜੀ ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ गउड़ी माझ महला ४ ॥ Ga▫oṛī mājẖ mėhlā 4. Gauree Maajh, Fourth Mehl: ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥ मेरा हरि प्रभु मितु मिलै सुखु पाई जीउ ॥ Merā har parabẖ miṯ milai sukẖ pā▫ī jī▫o. I have met the Lord God, my Best Friend, and I have found peace. ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥ हरि प्रभु देखि जीवा मेरी माई जीउ ॥ Har parabẖ ḏekẖ jīvā merī mā▫ī jī▫o. Beholding my Lord God, I live, O my mother. ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ गुण गावहु संत जीउ मेरे हरि प्रभ केरे जीउ ॥ Guṇ gāvhu sanṯ jī▫o mere har parabẖ kere jī▫o. O Dear Saints, sing the Glorious Praises of my Lord God. ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ मेरा नामु सखा हरि भाई जीउ ॥१॥ Merā nām sakẖā har bẖā▫ī jī▫o. ||1|| The Lord's Name is my Friend and Brother. ||1|| ਜਪਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਗ ਵਡੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ जपि गुरमुखि नामु जीउ भाग वडेरे जीउ ॥ Jap gurmukẖ nām jī▫o bẖāg vadere jī▫o. As Gurmukh, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, O very fortunate ones. ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ हरि हरि नामु जीउ प्रान हरि मेरे जीउ ॥ Har har nām jī▫o parān har mere jī▫o. The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is my soul and my breath of life. ਫਿਰਿ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਭਵਜਲ ਫੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ फिरि बहुड़ि न भवजल फेरे जीउ ॥२॥ Fir bahuṛ na bẖavjal fere jī▫o. ||2|| I shall never again have to cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2|| ਕਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਵੇਖਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥ किउ हरि प्रभ वेखा मेरै मनि तनि चाउ जीउ ॥ Ki▫o har parabẖ vekẖā merai man ṯan cẖā▫o jī▫o. How shall I behold my Lord God? My mind and body yearn for Him. ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਮਨਿ ਲਗਾ ਭਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥ हरि मेलहु संत जीउ मनि लगा भाउ जीउ ॥ Har melhu sanṯ jī▫o man lagā bẖā▫o jī▫o. Unite me with the Lord, Dear Saints; my mind is in love with Him. ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥ गुर सबदी पाईऐ हरि प्रीतम राउ जीउ ॥ Gur sabḏī pā▫ī▫ai har parīṯam rā▫o jī▫o. Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I have found the Sovereign Lord, my Beloved. ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ वडभागी जपि नाउ जीउ ॥३॥ vadbẖāgī jap nā▫o jī▫o. ||3|| O very fortunate ones, chant the Name of the Lord. ||3|| ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਵਡੜੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥ मेरै मनि तनि वडड़ी गोविंद प्रभ आसा जीउ ॥ Merai man ṯan vadṛī govinḏ parabẖ āsā jī▫o. Within my mind and body, there is such a great longing for God, the Lord of the Universe. ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥ हरि मेलहु संत जीउ गोविद प्रभ पासा जीउ ॥ Har melhu sanṯ jī▫o goviḏ parabẖ pāsā jī▫o. Unite me with the Lord, Dear Saints. God, the Lord of the Universe, is so close to me. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥ सतिगुर मति नामु सदा परगासा जीउ ॥ Saṯgur maṯ nām saḏā pargāsā jī▫o. Through the Teachings of the True Guru, the Naam is always revealed; ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਿਅੜੀ ਮਨਿ ਆਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੫॥੩੧॥੬੯॥ जन नानक पूरिअड़ी मनि आसा जीउ ॥४॥५॥३१॥६९॥ Jan Nānak pūri▫aṛī man āsā jī▫o. ||4||5||31||69|| the desires of servant Nanak's mind have been fulfilled. ||4||5||31||69||
