ਮਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਪੁਤੁ ਖਾਇ ॥ माता प्रीति करे पुतु खाइ ॥ Māṯā parīṯ kare puṯ kẖā▫e. The mother loves to see her son eat. ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ गउड़ी गुआरेरी महला ४ ॥ Ga▫oṛī gu▫ārerī mėhlā 4. Gauree Gwaarayree, Fourth Mehl: ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ सतिगुर प्रीति गुरसिख मुखि पाइ ॥१॥ Saṯgur parīṯ gursikẖ mukẖ pā▫e. ||1|| The True Guru loves to place food in the mouth of His GurSikh. ||1|| ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਹਮ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ ते हरि जन हरि मेलहु हम पिआरे ॥ Ŧe har jan har melhu ham pi▫āre. If only I could meet those humble servants of the Lord, O my Beloved. ਮੀਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਭਈ ਜਲਿ ਨਾਇ ॥ मीने प्रीति भई जलि नाइ ॥ Mīne parīṯ bẖa▫ī jal nā▫e. The fish loves to bathe in the water. ਜਿਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਦੁਖ ਜਾਹਿ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जिन मिलिआ दुख जाहि हमारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jin mili▫ā ḏukẖ jāhi hamāre. ||1|| rahā▫o. Meeting with them, my sorrows depart. ||1||Pause|| ਜਿਉ ਮਿਲਿ ਬਛਰੇ ਗਊ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥ जिउ मिलि बछरे गऊ प्रीति लगावै ॥ Ji▫o mil bacẖẖre ga▫ū parīṯ lagāvai. As the cow shows her love to her strayed calf when she finds it, ਕਾਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਘਰਿ ਆਵੈ ॥ कामनि प्रीति जा पिरु घरि आवै ॥ Kāman parīṯ jā pir gẖar āvai. and as the bride shows her love for her husband when he returns home, ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੨॥ हरि जन प्रीति जा हरि जसु गावै ॥२॥ Har jan parīṯ jā har jas gāvai. ||2|| so does the Lord's humble servant love to sing the Praises of the Lord. ||2|| ਸਾਰਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਸੈ ਜਲ ਧਾਰਾ ॥ सारिंग प्रीति बसै जल धारा ॥ Sāring parīṯ basai jal ḏẖārā. The rain-bird loves the rainwater, falling in torrents; ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਪੈ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ ॥੩॥ हरि जन प्रीति जपै निरंकारा ॥३॥ Har jan parīṯ japai nirankārā. ||3|| The humble servant of the Lord loves to meditate on the Formless Lord. ||3|| ਨਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਧਨੁ ਖਾਟੇ ॥ नर प्राणी प्रीति माइआ धनु खाटे ॥ Nar parāṇī parīṯ mā▫i▫ā ḏẖan kẖāte. The mortal man loves to accumulate wealth and property. ਨਰਪਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥ नरपति प्रीति माइआ देखि पसारा ॥ Narpaṯ parīṯ mā▫i▫ā ḏekẖ pasārā. the king loves to see his wealth on display. ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਗਲਾਟੇ ॥ गुरसिख प्रीति गुरु मिलै गलाटे ॥ Gursikẖ parīṯ gur milai galāte. The GurSikh loves to meet and embrace the Guru. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਪਗ ਚਾਟੇ ॥੪॥੩॥੪੧॥ जन नानक प्रीति साध पग चाटे ॥४॥३॥४१॥ Jan Nānak parīṯ sāḏẖ pag cẖāte. ||4||3||41|| Servant Nanak loves to kiss the feet of the Holy. ||4||3||41||
