ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ
सतिगुर ते गिआनु पाइआ हरि ततु बीचारा ॥
Saṯgur ṯe gi▫ān pā▫i▫ā har ṯaṯ bīcẖārā.
From the True Guru, I obtained spiritual wisdom; I contemplate the Lord's essence.

ਗਉੜੀ ਬੈਰਾਗਣਿ ਮਹਲਾ
गउड़ी बैरागणि महला ३ ॥
Ga▫oṛī bairāgaṇ mėhlā 3.
Gauree Bairaagan, Third Mehl:

ਮਤਿ ਮਲੀਣ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਭਈ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਾ
मति मलीण परगटु भई जपि नामु मुरारा ॥
Maṯ malīṇ pargat bẖa▫ī jap nām murārā.
My polluted intellect was enlightened by chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਸਿਵਿ ਸਕਤਿ ਮਿਟਾਈਆ ਚੂਕਾ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ
सिवि सकति मिटाईआ चूका अंधिआरा ॥
Siv sakaṯ mitā▫ī▫ā cẖūkā anḏẖi▫ārā.
The distinction between Shiva and Shakti - mind and matter - has been destroyed, and the darkness has been dispelled.

ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥੧॥
धुरि मसतकि जिन कउ लिखिआ तिन हरि नामु पिआरा ॥१॥
Ḏẖur masṯak jin ka▫o likẖi▫ā ṯin har nām pi▫ārā. ||1||
The Lord's Name is loved by those, upon whose foreheads such pre-ordained destiny was written. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾ
हरि कितु बिधि पाईऐ संत जनहु जिसु देखि हउ जीवा ॥
Har kiṯ biḏẖ pā▫ī▫ai sanṯ janhu jis ḏekẖ ha▫o jīvā.
How can the Lord be obtained, O Saints? Seeing Him, my life is sustained.

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਚਸਾ ਜੀਵਤੀ ਗੁਰ ਮੇਲਿਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि बिनु चसा न जीवती गुर मेलिहु हरि रसु पीवा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har bin cẖasā na jīvṯī gur melihu har ras pīvā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Without the Lord, I cannot live, even for an instant. Unite me with the Guru, so that I may drink in the sublime essence of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੀ
हउ हरि गुण गावा नित हरि सुणी हरि हरि गति कीनी ॥
Ha▫o har guṇ gāvā niṯ har suṇī har har gaṯ kīnī.
I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and I listen to them daily; the Lord, Har, Har, has emancipated me.

ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਲੀਨੀ
हरि रसु गुर ते पाइआ मेरा मनु तनु लीनी ॥
Har ras gur ṯe pā▫i▫ā merā man ṯan līnī.
I have obtained the Lord's essence from the Guru; my mind and body are drenched with it.

ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਨੀ
धनु धनु गुरु सत पुरखु है जिनि भगति हरि दीनी ॥
Ḏẖan ḏẖan gur saṯ purakẖ hai jin bẖagaṯ har ḏīnī.
Blessed, blessed is the Guru, the True Being, who has blessed me with devotional worship of the Lord.

ਗੁਣਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਅਵਗਣਿਆਰੇ
गुणदाता हरि राइ है हम अवगणिआरे ॥
Guṇḏāṯā har rā▫e hai ham avgaṇi▫āre.
The Sovereign Lord is the Giver of virtue. I am worthless and without virtue.

ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਹਮ ਕੀਨੀ ॥੨॥
जिसु गुर ते हरि पाइआ सो गुरु हम कीनी ॥२॥
Jis gur ṯe har pā▫i▫ā so gur ham kīnī. ||2||
From the Guru, I have obtained the Lord; I have made Him my Guru. ||2||

ਪਾਪੀ ਪਾਥਰ ਡੂਬਦੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ
पापी पाथर डूबदे गुरमति हरि तारे ॥
Pāpī pāthar dūbḏe gurmaṯ har ṯāre.
The sinners sink like stones; through the Guru's Teachings, the Lord carries us across.

ਤੂੰ ਗੁਣਦਾਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਹਮ ਅਵਗਣਿਆਰੇ
तूं गुणदाता निरमला हम अवगणिआरे ॥
Ŧūʼn guṇḏāṯā nirmalā ham avgaṇi▫āre.
You are the Giver of virtue, O Immaculate Lord; I am worthless and without virtue.

ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਮੂੜ ਮੁਗਧ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
हरि सरणागति राखि लेहु मूड़ मुगध निसतारे ॥३॥
Har sarṇāgaṯ rākẖ leho mūṛ mugaḏẖ nisṯāre. ||3||
I have entered Your Sanctuary, Lord; please save me, as You have saved the idiots and fools. ||3||

ਸਹਜੁ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ
सहजु अनंदु सदा गुरमती हरि हरि मनि धिआइआ ॥
Sahj anand saḏā gurmaṯī har har man ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
Eternal celestial bliss comes through the Guru's Teachings, by meditating continually on the Lord, Har, Har.

ਸਜਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਘਰਿ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਗਾਇਆ
सजणु हरि प्रभु पाइआ घरि सोहिला गाइआ ॥
Sajaṇ har parabẖ pā▫i▫ā gẖar sohilā gā▫i▫ā.
I have obtained the Lord God as my Best Friend, within the home of my own self. I sing the Songs of Joy.

ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਾਇਆ
हरि दइआ धारि प्रभ बेनती हरि हरि चेताइआ ॥
Har ḏa▫i▫ā ḏẖār parabẖ benṯī har har cẖeṯā▫i▫ā.
Please shower me with Your Mercy, O Lord God, that I may meditate on Your Name, Har, Har.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਧੂੜਿ ਤਿਨ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੮॥੩੮॥
जन नानकु मंगै धूड़ि तिन जिन सतिगुरु पाइआ ॥४॥४॥१८॥३८॥
Jan Nānak mangai ḏẖūṛ ṯin jin saṯgur pā▫i▫ā. ||4||4||18||38||
Servant Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of those who have found the True Guru. ||4||4||18||38||
