ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਕਾਲੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਬਾਧਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥

ਗਉੜੀ ਬੈਰਾਗਣਿ ਮਹਲਾ
गउड़ी बैरागणि महला ३ ॥
Ga▫oṛī bairāgaṇ mėhlā 3.
Gauree Bairaagan, Third Mehl:

ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਕਾਲੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਬਾਧਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ
सभु जगु कालै वसि है बाधा दूजै भाइ ॥
Sabẖ jag kālai vas hai bāḏẖā ḏūjai bẖā▫e.
The whole world is under the power of Death, bound by the love of duality.

ਹਉਮੈ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
हउमै करम कमावदे मनमुखि मिलै सजाइ ॥१॥
Ha▫umai karam kamāvḏe manmukẖ milai sajā▫e. ||1||
The self-willed manmukhs do their deeds in ego; they receive their just rewards. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ
मेरे मन गुर चरणी चितु लाइ ॥
Mere man gur cẖarṇī cẖiṯ lā▫e.
O my mind, focus your consciousness on the Guru's Feet.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਲੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
गुरमुखि नामु निधानु लै दरगह लए छडाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gurmukẖ nām niḏẖān lai ḏargėh la▫e cẖẖadā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
As Gurmukh, you shall be awarded the treasure of the Naam. In the Court of the Lord, you shall be saved. ||1||Pause||

ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਭਰਮਦੇ ਮਨਹਠਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ
लख चउरासीह भरमदे मनहठि आवै जाइ ॥
Lakẖ cẖa▫orāsīh bẖaramḏe manhaṯẖ āvai jā▫e.
Through 8.4 million incarnations, people wander lost; in stubborn-mindedness, they come and go.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਚੀਨਿਓ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੨॥
गुर का सबदु न चीनिओ फिरि फिरि जोनी पाइ ॥२॥
Gur kā sabaḏ na cẖīni▫o fir fir jonī pā▫e. ||2||
They do not realize the Word of the Guru's Shabad; they are reincarnated over and over again. ||2||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ
गुरमुखि आपु पछाणिआ हरि नामु वसिआ मनि आइ ॥
Gurmukẖ āp pacẖẖāṇi▫ā har nām vasi▫ā man ā▫e.
The Gurmukh understands his own self. The Lord's Name comes to dwell within the mind.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥
अनदिनु भगती रतिआ हरि नामे सुखि समाइ ॥३॥
An▫ḏin bẖagṯī raṯi▫ā har nāme sukẖ samā▫e. ||3||
Imbued with devotion to the Lord's Name, night and day, he merges in peace. ||3||

ਮਨੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰੈ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ
मनु सबदि मरै परतीति होइ हउमै तजे विकार ॥
Man sabaḏ marai parṯīṯ ho▫e ha▫umai ṯaje vikār.
When one's mind dies in the Shabad, one radiates faith and confidence, shedding egotism and corruption.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਮੀ ਪਾਈਅਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੬॥੩੬॥
जन नानक करमी पाईअनि हरि नामा भगति भंडार ॥४॥२॥१६॥३६॥
Jan Nānak karmī pā▫ī▫an har nāmā bẖagaṯ bẖandār. ||4||2||16||36||
O servant Nanak, through the karma of good actions, the treasure of devotional worship and the Name of the Lord are attained. ||4||2||16||36||
