ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਪੂਛਉ ਜਾਇ ॥ जिना गुरमुखि धिआइआ तिन पूछउ जाइ ॥ Jinā gurmukẖ ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā ṯin pūcẖẖa▫o jā▫e. Go and ask the Gurmukhs, who meditate on the Lord. ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ गउड़ी गुआरेरी महला ३ ॥ Ga▫oṛī gu▫ārerī mėhlā 3. Gauree Gwaarayree, Third Mehl: ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਮਨੁ ਪਤੀਆਇ ॥ गुर सेवा ते मनु पतीआइ ॥ Gur sevā ṯe man paṯī▫ā▫e. Serving the Guru, the mind is satisfied. ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਮਾਇ ॥ से धनवंत हरि नामु कमाइ ॥ Se ḏẖanvanṯ har nām kamā▫e. Those who earn the Lord's Name are wealthy. ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ पूरे गुर ते सोझी पाइ ॥१॥ Pūre gur ṯe sojẖī pā▫e. ||1|| Through the Perfect Guru, understanding is obtained. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥ हरि हरि नामु जपहु मेरे भाई ॥ Har har nām japahu mere bẖā▫ī. Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my Siblings of Destiny. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਘਾਲ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुरमुखि सेवा हरि घाल थाइ पाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gurmukẖ sevā har gẖāl thā▫e pā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o. The Gurmukhs serve the Lord, and so they are accepted. ||1||Pause|| ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ आपु पछाणै मनु निरमलु होइ ॥ Āp pacẖẖāṇai man nirmal ho▫e. Those who recognize the self - their minds become pure. ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥ जीवन मुकति हरि पावै सोइ ॥ Jīvan mukaṯ har pāvai so▫e. They become Jivan-mukta, liberated while yet alive, and they find the Lord. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਇ ॥ हरि गुण गावै मति ऊतम होइ ॥ Har guṇ gāvai maṯ ūṯam ho▫e. Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the intellect becomes pure and sublime, ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥ सहजे सहजि समावै सोइ ॥२॥ Sėhje sahj samāvai so▫e. ||2|| and they are easily and intuitively absorbed in the Lord. ||2|| ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖੁ ਖਾਇ ॥ हउमै माइआ महा बिखु खाइ ॥ Ha▫umai mā▫i▫ā mahā bikẖ kẖā▫e. In egotism and Maya, they are eating toxic poison. ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਨ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥ दूजै भाइ न सेविआ जाइ ॥ Ḏūjai bẖā▫e na sevi▫ā jā▫e. In the love of duality, no one can serve the Lord. ਪੁਤਿ ਕੁਟੰਬਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਮਾਇ ॥ पुति कुट्मबि ग्रिहि मोहिआ माइ ॥ Puṯ kutamb garihi mohi▫ā mā▫e. They are emotionally attached to their children, family and home. ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧਾ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥ मनमुखि अंधा आवै जाइ ॥३॥ Manmukẖ anḏẖā āvai jā▫e. ||3|| The blind, self-willed manmukhs come and go in reincarnation. ||3|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਇ ॥ हरि हरि नामु देवै जनु सोइ ॥ Har har nām ḏevai jan so▫e. Those, unto whom the Lord bestows His Name, ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹੋਇ ॥ अनदिनु भगति गुर सबदी होइ ॥ An▫ḏin bẖagaṯ gur sabḏī ho▫e. worship Him night and day, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਇ ॥ गुरमति विरला बूझै कोइ ॥ Gurmaṯ virlā būjẖai ko▫e. How rare are those who understand the Guru's Teachings! ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੩੨॥ नानक नामि समावै सोइ ॥४॥१२॥३२॥ Nānak nām samāvai so▫e. ||4||12||32|| O Nanak, they are absorbed in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||12||32|| ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਹੋਈ ॥ गुर सेवा जुग चारे होई ॥ Gur sevā jug cẖāre ho▫ī. The Guru's service has been performed throughout the four ages. ਅਖੁਟੁ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥ अखुटु नाम धनु हरि तोटि न होई ॥ Akẖut nām ḏẖan har ṯot na ho▫ī. The wealth of the Lord's Name is inexhaustible; it shall never be exhausted. ਪੂਰਾ ਜਨੁ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਕੋਈ ॥ पूरा जनु कार कमावै कोई ॥ Pūrā jan kār kamāvai ko▫ī. Very few are those perfect ones who do this good deed.
