ਸਚਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਸਚਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ॥ सचा अमरु सचा पातिसाहु ॥ Sacẖā amar sacẖā pāṯisāhu. True is the Lord King, True is His Royal Command. ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ॥ गउड़ी महला ३ गुआरेरी ॥ Ga▫oṛī mėhlā 3 gu▫ārerī. Gauree, Third Mehl, Gwaarayree: ਮਨਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਰਾਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥ मनि साचै राते हरि वेपरवाहु ॥ Man sācẖai rāṯe har veparvāhu. Those whose minds are attuned to the True, Carefree Lord, ਸਚੈ ਮਹਲਿ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਹੁ ॥੧॥ सचै महलि सचि नामि समाहु ॥१॥ Sacẖai mahal sacẖ nām samāhu. ||1|| enter the True Mansion of His Presence, and merge in the True Name. ||1|| ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ सुणि मन मेरे सबदु वीचारि ॥ Suṇ man mere sabaḏ vīcẖār. Listen, O my mind: contemplate the Word of the Shabad. ਰਾਮ ਜਪਹੁ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਉਤਰਹੁ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ राम जपहु भवजलु उतरहु पारि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Rām japahu bẖavjal uṯarahu pār. ||1|| rahā▫o. Chant the Lord's Name, and cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause|| ਭਰਮੇ ਆਵੈ ਭਰਮੇ ਜਾਇ ॥ भरमे आवै भरमे जाइ ॥ Bẖarme āvai bẖarme jā▫e. In doubt he comes, and in doubt he goes. ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥ इहु जगु जनमिआ दूजै भाइ ॥ Ih jag janmi▫ā ḏūjai bẖā▫e. This world is born out of the love of duality. ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ मनमुखि न चेतै आवै जाइ ॥२॥ Manmukẖ na cẖeṯai āvai jā▫e. ||2|| The self-willed manmukh does not remember the Lord; he continues coming and going in reincarnation. ||2|| ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ॥ आपि भुला कि प्रभि आपि भुलाइआ ॥ Āp bẖulā kė parabẖ āp bẖulā▫i▫ā. Does he himself go astray, or does God lead him astray? ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ इहु जीउ विडाणी चाकरी लाइआ ॥ Ih jī▫o vidāṇī cẖākrī lā▫i▫ā. This soul is enjoined to the service of someone else. ਮਹਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਖਟੇ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ महा दुखु खटे बिरथा जनमु गवाइआ ॥३॥ Mahā ḏukẖ kẖate birthā janam gavā▫i▫ā. ||3|| It earns only terrible pain, and this life is lost in vain. ||3|| ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥ किरपा करि सतिगुरू मिलाए ॥ Kirpā kar saṯgurū milā▫e. Granting His Grace, He leads us to meet the True Guru. ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੇਤੇ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥ एको नामु चेते विचहु भरमु चुकाए ॥ Ėko nām cẖeṯe vicẖahu bẖaram cẖukā▫e. Remembering the One Name, doubt is cast out from within. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੇ ਨਾਉ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੩੧॥ नानक नामु जपे नाउ नउ निधि पाए ॥४॥११॥३१॥ Nānak nām jape nā▫o na▫o niḏẖ pā▫e. ||4||11||31|| O Nanak, chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the nine treasures of the Name are obtained. ||4||11||31||
