ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤਿ ਤਿਸਨਾ ਤਜਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ
सतिगुरु सेवि सुखु पाइआ अति तिसना तजि विकार ॥
Saṯgur sev sukẖ pā▫i▫ā aṯ ṯisnā ṯaj vikār.
Serving the True Guru, peace is found; intense desire and corruption are discarded.

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਚੁਕਈ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰ
माइआ मोहु न चुकई मरि जमहि वारो वार ॥
Mā▫i▫ā moh na cẖuk▫ī mar jamėh vāro vār.
Their attachment to Maya does not cease; they die, only to be reborn, over and over again.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਕਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਗਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੪੯॥
जनम मरन का दुखु गइआ जन नानक सबदु बीचारि ॥४९॥
Janam maran kā ḏukẖ ga▫i▫ā jan Nānak sabaḏ bīcẖār. ||49||
The pains of death and birth are taken away; servant Nanak reflects upon the Word of the Shabad. ||49||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨੁ
हरि हरि नामु धिआइ मन हरि दरगह पावहि मानु ॥
Har har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e man har ḏargėh pāvahi mān.
Meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O mortal being, and you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord.

ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਿ ਕਟੀਅਹਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਚੁਕੈ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ
किलविख पाप सभि कटीअहि हउमै चुकै गुमानु ॥
Kilvikẖ pāp sabẖ katī▫ah ha▫umai cẖukai gumān.
All your sins and terrible mistakes shall be taken away, and you shall be rid of your pride and egotism.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਵਿਗਸਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੁ
गुरमुखि कमलु विगसिआ सभु आतम ब्रहमु पछानु ॥
Gurmukẖ kamal vigsi▫ā sabẖ āṯam barahm pacẖẖān.
The heart-lotus of the Gurmukh blossoms forth, realizing God, the Soul of all.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੫੦॥
हरि हरि किरपा धारि प्रभ जन नानक जपि हरि नामु ॥५०॥
Har har kirpā ḏẖār parabẖ jan Nānak jap har nām. ||50||
O Lord God, please shower Your Mercy upon servant Nanak, that he may chant the Name of the Lord. ||50||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਧਨਵੰਤੀ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਜਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ
धनासरी धनवंती जाणीऐ भाई जां सतिगुर की कार कमाइ ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī ḏẖanvanṯī jāṇī▫ai bẖā▫ī jāʼn saṯgur kī kār kamā▫e.
In Dhanaasaree, the soul-bride is known to be wealthy, O Siblings of Destiny, when she works for the True Guru.

ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਉਪੇ ਜੀਅ ਸਉ ਭਾਈ ਲਏ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਫਿਰਾਉ
तनु मनु सउपे जीअ सउ भाई लए हुकमि फिराउ ॥
Ŧan man sa▫upe jī▫a sa▫o bẖā▫ī la▫e hukam firā▫o.
She surrenders her body, mind and soul, O Siblings of Destiny, and lives according to the Hukam of His Command.

ਜਹ ਬੈਸਾਵਹਿ ਬੈਸਹ ਭਾਈ ਜਹ ਭੇਜਹਿ ਤਹ ਜਾਉ
जह बैसावहि बैसह भाई जह भेजहि तह जाउ ॥
Jah baisāvėh baisah bẖā▫ī jah bẖejėh ṯah jā▫o.
I sit where He wishes me to sit, O Siblings of Destiny; wherever He sends me, I go.

ਏਵਡੁ ਧਨੁ ਹੋਰੁ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਭਾਈ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਉ
एवडु धनु होरु को नही भाई जेवडु सचा नाउ ॥
Ėvad ḏẖan hor ko nahī bẖā▫ī jevad sacẖā nā▫o.
There is no other wealth as great, O Siblings of Destiny; such is the greatness of the True Name.

ਸਦਾ ਸਚੇ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸਚੇ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹਾਉ
सदा सचे के गुण गावां भाई सदा सचे कै संगि रहाउ ॥
Saḏā sacẖe ke guṇ gāvāʼn bẖā▫ī saḏā sacẖe kai sang rahā▫o.
I sing forever the Glorious Praises of the True Lord; I shall remain with the True One forever.

ਪੈਨਣੁ ਗੁਣ ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆ ਭਾਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਾਦ ਆਪੇ ਖਾਇ
पैनणु गुण चंगिआईआ भाई आपणी पति के साद आपे खाइ ॥
Painaṇ guṇ cẖang▫ā▫ī▫ā bẖā▫ī āpṇī paṯ ke sāḏ āpe kẖā▫e.
So wear the clothes of His Glorious Virtues and goodness, O Siblings of Destiny; eat and enjoy the flavor of your own honor.

ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਕਿਆ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਇ
तिस का किआ सालाहीऐ भाई दरसन कउ बलि जाइ ॥
Ŧis kā ki▫ā salāhī▫ai bẖā▫ī ḏarsan ka▫o bal jā▫e.
How can I praise Him, O Siblings of Destiny? I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਡੀਆ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਭਾਈ ਕਰਮਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਇ
सतिगुर विचि वडीआ वडिआईआ भाई करमि मिलै तां पाइ ॥
Saṯgur vicẖ vadī▫ā vaḏi▫ā▫ī▫ā bẖā▫ī karam milai ṯāʼn pā▫e.
Great is the Glorious Greatness of the True Guru, O Siblings of Destiny; if one is blessed with good karma, He is found.

ਇਕਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਭਾਈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਫਿਰਾਇ
इकि हुकमु मंनि न जाणनी भाई दूजै भाइ फिराइ ॥
Ik hukam man na jāṇnī bẖā▫ī ḏūjai bẖā▫e firā▫e.
Some do not know how to submit to the Hukam of His Command, O Siblings of Destiny; they wander around lost in the love of duality.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਮਨਾਇਸੀ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਨਾ ਧੁਰੇ ਕਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਉ
नानक हुकमु तिना मनाइसी भाई जिना धुरे कमाइआ नाउ ॥
Nānak hukam ṯinā manā▫isī bẖā▫ī jinā ḏẖure kamā▫i▫ā nā▫o.
Nanak: they alone submit to His Command, O Siblings of Destiny, who are pre-destined to live the Name.

ਸੰਗਤਿ ਢੋਈ ਨਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਭਾਈ ਬੈਸਣਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਥਾਉ
संगति ढोई ना मिलै भाई बैसणि मिलै न थाउ ॥
Sangaṯ dẖo▫ī nā milai bẖā▫ī baisaṇ milai na thā▫o.
They find no place of rest in the Sangat, O Siblings of Destiny; they find no place to sit.

ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਹਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥੫੧॥
तिन्ह विटहु हउ वारिआ भाई तिन कउ सद बलिहारै जाउ ॥५१॥
Ŧinĥ vitahu ha▫o vāri▫ā bẖā▫ī ṯin ka▫o saḏ balihārai jā▫o. ||51||
I am a sacrifice to them, O Siblings of Destiny, I am forever a sacrifice to them. ||51||

ਸੇ ਦਾੜੀਆਂ ਸਚੀਆ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਗੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ
से दाड़ीआं सचीआ जि गुर चरनी लगंन्हि ॥
Se ḏāṛī▫āʼn sacẖī▫ā jė gur cẖarnī lagaʼnniĥ.
Those beards are true, which brush the feet of the True Guru.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਅਨਦਿ ਰਹੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ
अनदिनु सेवनि गुरु आपणा अनदिनु अनदि रहंन्हि ॥
An▫ḏin sevan gur āpṇā an▫ḏin anaḏ rahaʼnniĥ.
Those who serve their Guru night and day, live in bliss, night and day.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਮੁਹ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਚੈ ਦਰਿ ਦਿਸੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ॥੫੨॥
नानक से मुह सोहणे सचै दरि दिसंन्हि ॥५२॥
Nānak se muh sohṇe sacẖai ḏar ḏisaʼnniĥ. ||52||
O Nanak, their faces appear beautiful in the Court of the True Lord. ||52||

ਮੁਖ ਸਚੇ ਸਚੁ ਦਾੜੀਆ ਸਚੁ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਹਿ
मुख सचे सचु दाड़ीआ सचु बोलहि सचु कमाहि ॥
Mukẖ sacẖe sacẖ ḏāṛī▫ā sacẖ bolėh sacẖ kamāhi.
True are the faces and true are the beards, of those who speak the Truth and live the Truth.

ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਾਂਹਿ ਸਮਾਂਹਿ
सचा सबदु मनि वसिआ सतिगुर मांहि समांहि ॥
Sacẖā sabaḏ man vasi▫ā saṯgur māʼnhi samāʼnhi.
The True Word of the Shabad abides in their minds; they are absorbed in the True Guru.

ਸਚੀ ਰਾਸੀ ਸਚੁ ਧਨੁ ਉਤਮ ਪਦਵੀ ਪਾਂਹਿ
सची रासी सचु धनु उतम पदवी पांहि ॥
Sacẖī rāsī sacẖ ḏẖan uṯam paḏvī pāʼnhi.
True is their capital, and true is their wealth; they are blessed with the ultimate status.

ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਬੈਸਣਾ ਸਚੇ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ
सची दरगह बैसणा सचे माहि समाहि ॥
Sacẖī ḏargėh baisṇā sacẖe māhi samāhi.
They are given a place in the Court of the True Lord; they are absorbed in the True Lord.

ਸਚੁ ਸੁਣਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਲੈਨਿ ਸਚੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਹਿ
सचु सुणहि सचु मंनि लैनि सची कार कमाहि ॥
Sacẖ suṇėh sacẖ man lain sacẖī kār kamāhi.
They hear the Truth, they believe in the Truth; they act and work in the Truth.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭੂਲੇ ਜਾਂਹਿ ॥੫੩॥
नानक विणु सतिगुर सचु न पाईऐ मनमुख भूले जांहि ॥५३॥
Nānak viṇ saṯgur sacẖ na pā▫ī▫ai manmukẖ bẖūle jāʼnhi. ||53||
O Nanak, without the True Guru, the True Lord is not found. The self-willed manmukhs leave, wandering around lost. ||53||

ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਕਰੇ ਜਲਨਿਧਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰਿ
बाबीहा प्रिउ प्रिउ करे जलनिधि प्रेम पिआरि ॥
Bābīhā pari▫o pari▫o kare jalniḏẖ parem pi▫ār.
The rainbird cries, "Pri-o! Pri-o! Beloved! Beloved!" She is in love with the treasure, the water.

ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੀਤਲ ਜਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭਿ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ
गुर मिले सीतल जलु पाइआ सभि दूख निवारणहारु ॥
Gur mile sīṯal jal pā▫i▫ā sabẖ ḏūkẖ nivāraṇhār.
Meeting with the Guru, the cooling, soothing water is obtained, and all pain is taken away.

ਤਿਸ ਚੁਕੈ ਸਹਜੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਚੁਕੈ ਕੂਕ ਪੁਕਾਰ
तिस चुकै सहजु ऊपजै चुकै कूक पुकार ॥
Ŧis cẖukai sahj ūpjai cẖukai kūk pukār.
My thirst has been quenched, and intuitive peace and poise have welled up; my cries and screams of anguish are past.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਖਹੁ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੫੪॥
नानक गुरमुखि सांति होइ नामु रखहु उरि धारि ॥५४॥
Nānak gurmukẖ sāʼnṯ ho▫e nām rakẖahu ur ḏẖār. ||54||
O Nanak, the Gurmukhs are peaceful and tranquil; they enshrine the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within their hearts. ||54||

ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਤੂੰ ਸਚੁ ਚਉ ਸਚੇ ਸਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ
बाबीहा तूं सचु चउ सचे सउ लिव लाइ ॥
Bābīhā ṯūʼn sacẖ cẖa▫o sacẖe sa▫o liv lā▫e.
O rainbird, chirp the True Name, and let yourself be attuned to the True Lord.

ਬੋਲਿਆ ਤੇਰਾ ਥਾਇ ਪਵੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਇ ਅਲਾਇ
बोलिआ तेरा थाइ पवै गुरमुखि होइ अलाइ ॥
Boli▫ā ṯerā thā▫e pavai gurmukẖ ho▫e alā▫e.
Your word shall be accepted and approved, if you speak as Gurmukh.

ਸਬਦੁ ਚੀਨਿ ਤਿਖ ਉਤਰੈ ਮੰਨਿ ਲੈ ਰਜਾਇ
सबदु चीनि तिख उतरै मंनि लै रजाइ ॥
Sabaḏ cẖīn ṯikẖ uṯrai man lai rajā▫e.
Remember the Shabad, and your thirst shall be relieved; surrender to the Will of the Lord.
