Swaiyas From The Mouth Of The Great Fifth Mehl: ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਓ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਘਟ ਰਹਿਓ ਬਿਆਪੇ ॥ सरब रहिओ भरपूरि सगल घट रहिओ बिआपे ॥ Sarab rahi▫o bẖarpūr sagal gẖat rahi▫o bi▫āpe. You are All-pervading everywhere, totally filling all hearts. ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਭ ਆਪੇ ॥ आदि पुरख करतार करण कारण सभ आपे ॥ Āḏ purakẖ karṯār karaṇ kāraṇ sabẖ āpe. O Primal Lord God, You Yourself are the Creator, the Cause of all causes. ਬ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਪਤੁ ਦੇਖੀਐ ਜਗਤਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਕਉਨੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਸਰਬ ਕੀ ਰਖ੍ਯ੍ਯਾ ਕਰੈ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਤਿ ॥ ब्यापतु देखीऐ जगति जानै कउनु तेरी गति सरब की रख्या करै आपे हरि पति ॥ Ba▫yāpaṯ ḏekẖī▫ai jagaṯ jānai ka▫un ṯerī gaṯ sarab kī rakẖ▫yā karai āpe har paṯ. You are seen pervading the world; who can know Your State? You protect all; You are our Lord and Master. ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਬਿਗਤ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਉਤਪਤਿ ॥ अबिनासी अबिगत आपे आपि उतपति ॥ Abẖināsī abigaṯ āpe āp uṯpaṯ. O my Imperishable and Formless Lord, You formed Yourself. ਏਕੈ ਤੂਹੀ ਏਕੈ ਅਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਭਤਿ ॥ एकै तूही एकै अन नाही तुम भति ॥ Ėkai ṯūhī ekai an nāhī ṯum bẖaṯ. You are the One and Only; no one else is like You. ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ਕਉਨੁ ਹੈ ਕਰੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਜਗਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੋ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥ हरि अंतु नाही पारावारु कउनु है करै बीचारु जगत पिता है स्रब प्रान को अधारु ॥ Har anṯ nāhī pārāvār ka▫un hai karai bīcẖār jagaṯ piṯā hai sarab parān ko aḏẖār. O Lord, You have no end or limitation. Who can contemplate You? You are the Father of the world, the Support of all life. ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਭਗਤੁ ਦਰਿ ਤੁਲਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਏਕ ਜੀਹ ਕਿਆ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥ जनु नानकु भगतु दरि तुलि ब्रहम समसरि एक जीह किआ बखानै ॥ Jan Nānak bẖagaṯ ḏar ṯul barahm samsar ek jīh ki▫ā bakẖānai. Your devotees are at Your Door, O God - they are just like You. How can servant Nanak describe them with only one tongue? ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ हां कि बलि बलि बलि बलि सद बलिहारि ॥१॥ Hāʼn kė bal bal bal bal saḏ balihār. ||1|| I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, forever a sacrifice to them. ||1|| ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਸਰਿ ਅਤੁਲ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਭਰਿ ਪਰੈ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਪਰੈ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਪਰਿ ॥ अम्रित प्रवाह सरि अतुल भंडार भरि परै ही ते परै अपर अपार परि ॥ Amriṯ parvāh sar aṯul bẖandār bẖar parai hī ṯe parai apar apār par. Streams of Ambrosial Nectar flow; Your Treasures are unweighable and overflowing in abundance. You are the Farthest of the far, Infinite and Incomparably Beautiful. ਆਪੁਨੋ ਭਾਵਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ ਨ ਦੂਸਰੋ ਧਰਿ ਓਪਤਿ ਪਰਲੌ ਏਕੈ ਨਿਮਖ ਤੁ ਘਰਿ ॥ आपुनो भावनु करि मंत्रि न दूसरो धरि ओपति परलौ एकै निमख तु घरि ॥ Āpuno bẖāvan kar manṯar na ḏūsro ḏẖar opaṯ parloua ekai nimakẖ ṯo gẖar. You do whatever You please; You do not take advice from anyone else. In Your Home, creation and destruction happen in an instant. ਆਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਉਜੀਆਰੋ ਨਿਰਮਰਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਛਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਲੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ॥ आन नाही समसरि उजीआरो निरमरि कोटि पराछत जाहि नाम लीए हरि हरि ॥ Ān nāhī samsar ujī▫āro nirmar kot parācẖẖaṯ jāhi nām lī▫e har har. No one else is equal to You; Your Light is Immaculate and Pure. Your devotees are at Your Door, God - they are just like You. How can servant Nanak describe them with only one tongue? ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਧਾਰੇ ਏਕ ਥੇਂ ਕੀਏ ਬਿਸਥਾਰੇ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਮਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਨਿਰਾਰੇ ॥ सगल भवन धारे एक थें कीए बिसथारे पूरि रहिओ स्रब महि आपि है निरारे ॥ Sagal bẖavan ḏẖāre ek theʼn kī▫e bisthāre pūr rahi▫o sarab mėh āp hai nirāre. You established all the worlds from within Yourself, and extended them outward. You are All-pervading amongst all, and yet You Yourself remain detached. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਤ ਪਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਥਾਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੈ ਅਲਖ ਮੁਰਾਰੇ ॥ हरि गुन नाही अंत पारे जीअ जंत सभि थारे सगल को दाता एकै अलख मुरारे ॥ Har gun nāhī anṯ pāre jī▫a janṯ sabẖ thāre sagal ko ḏāṯā ekai alakẖ murāre. O Lord, there is no end or limit to Your Glorious Virtues; all beings and creatures are Yours. You are the Giver of all, the One Invisible Lord. ਆਪ ਹੀ ਧਾਰਨ ਧਾਰੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਦੇਖਾਰੇ ਬਰਨੁ ਚਿਹਨੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੁਖ ਨ ਮਸਾਰੇ ॥ आप ही धारन धारे कुदरति है देखारे बरनु चिहनु नाही मुख न मसारे ॥ Āp hī ḏẖāran ḏẖāre kuḏraṯ hai ḏekẖāre baran cẖihan nāhī mukẖ na masāre. He Himself supports the Universe, revealing His All-powerful Creative Potency. He has no color, form, mouth or beard. ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਭਗਤੁ ਦਰਿ ਤੁਲਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਏਕ ਜੀਹ ਕਿਆ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥ जनु नानकु भगतु दरि तुलि ब्रहम समसरि एक जीह किआ बखानै ॥ Jan Nānak bẖagaṯ ḏar ṯul barahm samsar ek jīh ki▫ā bakẖānai. How can servant Nanak describe them with only one tongue? ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ॥੩॥ हां कि बलि बलि बलि बलि सद बलिहारि ॥३॥ Hāʼn kė bal bal bal bal saḏ balihār. ||3|| I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, forever a sacrifice to them. ||3|| ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੰ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਨ ਗ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੰ ਧ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੰ ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚੌ ਜਾਨੀਜੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੋ ਥਾਨੰ ॥ सरब गुण निधानं कीमति न ग्यानं ध्यानं ऊचे ते ऊचौ जानीजै प्रभ तेरो थानं ॥ Sarab guṇ niḏẖānaʼn kīmaṯ na ga▫yāna ḏẖa▫yāna ūcẖe ṯe ūcẖou jānījai parabẖ ṯero thānaʼn. You are the Treasure of all virtue; who can know the value of Your spiritual wisdom and meditation? O God, Your Place is known as the highest of the high. ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੰ ਏਕੈ ਸੂਤਿ ਹੈ ਜਹਾਨੰ ਕਵਨ ਉਪਮਾ ਦੇਉ ਬਡੇ ਤੇ ਬਡਾਨੰ ॥ मनु धनु तेरो प्रानं एकै सूति है जहानं कवन उपमा देउ बडे ते बडानं ॥ Man ḏẖan ṯero parānaʼn ekai sūṯ hai jahānaʼn kavan upmā ḏe▫o bade ṯe badānaʼn. Mind, wealth and the breath of life belong to You alone, Lord. The world is strung upon Your Thread. What praises can I give to You? You are the Greatest of the great. ਜਾਨੈ ਕਉਨੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਭੇਉ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ਦੇਉ ਅਕਲ ਕਲਾ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਬ ਕੋ ਧਾਨੰ ॥ जानै कउनु तेरो भेउ अलख अपार देउ अकल कला है प्रभ सरब को धानं ॥ Jānai ka▫un ṯero bẖe▫o alakẖ apār ḏe▫o akal kalā hai parabẖ sarab ko ḏẖānaʼn. Who can know Your Mystery? O Unfathomable, Infinite, Divine Lord, Your Power is unstoppable. Blissful, Unlimited, Beautiful, Immaculate, Blossoming Lord: ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਆਕਾਰ ਅਛਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥ निरंकारु आकार अछल पूरन अबिनासी ॥ Nirankār ākār acẖẖal pūran abẖināsī. O Formless, Formed, Undeceivable, Perfect, Imperishable, ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅੰਤੁ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਸੀ ॥ गुण गावहि बेअंत अंतु इकु तिलु नही पासी ॥ Guṇ gāvahi be▫anṯ anṯ ik ṯil nahī pāsī. Countless are those who sing Your Glorious Praises, but they do not know even a tiny bit of Your extent. ਜਾ ਕਉ ਹੋਂਹਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸੁ ਜਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਸੀ ॥ जा कउ होंहि क्रिपाल सु जनु प्रभ तुमहि मिलासी ॥ Jā ka▫o hoʼnhi kirpāl so jan parabẖ ṯumėh milāsī. That humble being upon whom You shower Your Mercy meets with You, O God. ਧੰਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਿ ਜਨ ਜਿਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਯਉ ॥ धंनि धंनि ते धंनि जन जिह क्रिपालु हरि हरि भयउ ॥ Ḏẖan ḏẖan ṯe ḏẖan jan jih kirpāl har har bẖa▫ya▫o. Blessed, blessed, blessed are those humble beings, upon whom the Lord, Har, Har, showers His Mercy. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ ਪਰਸਿਅਉ ਸਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਹ ਥੇ ਰਹਿਓ ॥੫॥ हरि गुरु नानकु जिन परसिअउ सि जनम मरण दुह थे रहिओ ॥५॥ Har gur Nānak jin parsi▫o sė janam maraṇ ḏuh the rahi▫o. ||5|| Whoever meets with the Lord through Guru Nanak is rid of both birth and death. ||5|| ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਸਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਭਣੀਐ ॥ सति सति हरि सति सति सते सति भणीऐ ॥ Saṯ saṯ har saṯ saṯ saṯe saṯ bẖaṇī▫ai. The Lord is said to be True, True, True, True, the Truest of the True. ਦੂਸਰ ਆਨ ਨ ਅਵਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਊਰਾਤਨੁ ਸੁਣੀਐ ॥ दूसर आन न अवरु पुरखु पऊरातनु सुणीऐ ॥ Ḏūsar ān na avar purakẖ pa▫urāṯan suṇī▫ai. There is no other like Him. He is the Primal Being, the Primal Soul. ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਮਨਿ ਸਭ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥ अम्रितु हरि को नामु लैत मनि सभ सुख पाए ॥ Amriṯ har ko nām laiṯ man sabẖ sukẖ pā▫e. Chanting the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, the mortal is blessed with all comforts. ਜੇਹ ਰਸਨ ਚਾਖਿਓ ਤੇਹ ਜਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਏ ॥ जेह रसन चाखिओ तेह जन त्रिपति अघाए ॥ Jeh rasan cẖākẖi▫o ṯeh jan ṯaripaṯ agẖā▫e. Those who taste it with their tongues, those humble beings are satisfied and fulfilled. ਜਿਹ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨੁ ਭਯੋੁ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ जिह ठाकुरु सुप्रसंनु भयो सतसंगति तिह पिआरु ॥ Jih ṯẖākur suparsan bẖa▫yo saṯsangaṯ ṯih pi▫ār. That person who becomes pleasing to his Lord and Master, loves the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਪਰਸਿਓ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਲ ਕੀਓ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥੬॥ हरि गुरु नानकु जिन्ह परसिओ तिन्ह सभ कुल कीओ उधारु ॥६॥ Har gur Nānak jinĥ parsi▫o ṯinĥ sabẖ kul kī▫o uḏẖār. ||6|| Whoever meets with the Lord through Guru Nanak, saves all his generations. ||6|| ਸਚੁ ਸਭਾ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਪਹਿ ਧਰਿਓ ॥ सचु सभा दीबाणु सचु सचे पहि धरिओ ॥ Sacẖ sabẖā ḏībāṇ sacẖ sacẖe pėh ḏẖari▫o. True is His Congregation and His Court. The True Lord has established Truth. ਸਚੈ ਤਖਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ਸਚੁ ਤਪਾਵਸੁ ਕਰਿਓ ॥ सचै तखति निवासु सचु तपावसु करिओ ॥ Sacẖai ṯakẖaṯ nivās sacẖ ṯapāvas kari▫o. Sitting upon His Throne of Truth, He administers True Justice. ਸਚਿ ਸਿਰਜ੍ਯ੍ਯਿਉ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਆਭੁਲੁ ਨ ਭੁਲਉ ॥ सचि सिरज्यिउ संसारु आपि आभुलु न भुलउ ॥ Sacẖ sirji▫ya▫o sansār āp ābẖul na bẖula▫o. The True Lord Himself fashioned the Universe. He is Infallible, and does not make mistakes. ਰਤਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਕੀਮ ਨਹੁ ਪਵੈ ਅਮੁਲਉ ॥ रतन नामु अपारु कीम नहु पवै अमुलउ ॥ Raṯan nām apār kīm nahu pavai amula▫o. The Naam, the Name of the Infinite Lord, is the jewel. Its value cannot be appraised - it is priceless. ਜਿਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਹੋਯਉ ਗੋੁਬਿੰਦੁ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਤਿਨਹੂ ਪਾਏ ॥ जिह क्रिपालु होयउ गोबिंदु सरब सुख तिनहू पाए ॥ Jih kirpāl ho▫ya▫o gobinḏ sarab sukẖ ṯinhū pā▫e. That person, upon whom the Lord of the Universe showers His Mercy obtains all comforts. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਪਰਸਿਓ ਤੇ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਆਏ ॥੭॥ हरि गुरु नानकु जिन्ह परसिओ ते बहुड़ि फिरि जोनि न आए ॥७॥ Har gur Nānak jinĥ parsi▫o ṯe bahuṛ fir jon na ā▫e. ||7|| Those who touch the Feet of the Lord through Guru Nanak, do not have to enter the cycle of reincarnation ever again. ||7|| ਕਵਨੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਕਉਨੁ ਗ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਧ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਕਵਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਉਸ੍ਤਤਿ ਕਰੀਐ ॥ कवनु जोगु कउनु ग्यानु ध्यानु कवन बिधि उस्तति करीऐ ॥ Kavan jog ka▫un ga▫yān ḏẖeān kavan biḏẖ usṯaṯ karī▫ai. What is the Yoga, what is the spiritual wisdom and meditation, and what is the way, to praise the Lord? ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਤੇਤੀਸ ਕੋਰਿ ਤਿਰੁ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਰੀਐ ॥ सिध साधिक तेतीस कोरि तिरु कीम न परीऐ ॥ Siḏẖ sāḏẖik ṯeṯīs kor ṯir kīm na parī▫ai. The Siddhas and seekers and the three hundred thirty million gods cannot find even a tiny bit of the Lord's Value. ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਦਿਕ ਸਨਕਾਦਿ ਸੇਖ ਗੁਣ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥ ब्रहमादिक सनकादि सेख गुण अंतु न पाए ॥ Barahmāḏik sankāḏ sekẖ guṇ anṯ na pā▫e. Neither Brahma, nor Sanak, nor the thousand-headed serpent king can find the limits of His Glorious Virtues. ਅਗਹੁ ਗਹਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਪੂਰਿ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਮਾਏ ॥ अगहु गहिओ नही जाइ पूरि स्रब रहिओ समाए ॥ Agahu gahi▫o nahī jā▫e pūr sarab rahi▫o samā▫e. The Inapprehensible Lord cannot be apprehended. He is pervading and permeating amongst all. ਜਿਹ ਕਾਟੀ ਸਿਲਕ ਦਯਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸੇਇ ਜਨ ਲਗੇ ਭਗਤੇ ॥ जिह काटी सिलक दयाल प्रभि सेइ जन लगे भगते ॥ Jih kātī silak ḏa▫yāl parabẖ se▫e jan lage bẖagṯe. Those whom God has mercifully freed from their nooses - those humble beings are attached to His devotional worship. ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਪਰਸਿਓ ਤੇ ਇਤ ਉਤ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੇ ॥੮॥ हरि गुरु नानकु जिन्ह परसिओ ते इत उत सदा मुकते ॥८॥ Har gur Nānak jinĥ parsi▫o ṯe iṯ uṯ saḏā mukṯe. ||8|| Those who meet with the Lord through Guru Nanak are liberated forever, here and hereafter. ||8|| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤਉ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪਰ੍ਯ੍ਯਿਉ ਜਾਚਕੁ ਇਕੁ ਸਰਨਾ ॥ प्रभ दातउ दातार परि्यउ जाचकु इकु सरना ॥ Parabẖ ḏāṯa▫o ḏāṯār pari▫ya▫o jācẖak ik sarnā. I am a beggar; I seek the Sanctuary of God, the Giver of givers. ਮਿਲੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਨ ਜੇਹ ਲਗਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰਨਾ ॥ मिलै दानु संत रेन जेह लगि भउजलु तरना ॥ Milai ḏān sanṯ ren jeh lag bẖa▫ojal ṯarnā. Please bless me with the gift of the dust of the feet of the Saints; grasping them, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ਬਿਨਤਿ ਕਰਉ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਜੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ बिनति करउ अरदासि सुनहु जे ठाकुर भावै ॥ Binaṯ kara▫o arḏās sunhu je ṯẖākur bẖāvai. Please listen to my prayer, if it pleases You, O my Lord and Master.
