ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਲਾ ॥ गुरु पूरा पूरी ता की कला ॥ Gur pooraa pooree ṫaa kee kalaa. The Guru is Perfect, and Perfect is His Power. ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ प्रभाती महला ५ ॥ Parbʰaaṫee mėhlaa 5. Prabhaatee, Fifth Mehl: ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ॥ गुर की बाणी जिसु मनि वसै ॥ Gur kee baṇee jis man vasæ. Whose minds are filled with the Word of the Guru’s Bani, ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥ दूखु दरदु सभु ता का नसै ॥१॥ Ḋookʰ ḋaraḋ sabʰ ṫaa kaa nasæ. ||1|| all pains and afflictions run away from him. ||1|| ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਦ ਅਟਲਾ ॥ गुर का सबदु सदा सद अटला ॥ Gur kaa sabaḋ saḋaa saḋ atlaa. The Word of the Guru’s Shabad is unchanging, forever and ever. ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥ हरि रंगि राता मनु राम गुन गावै ॥ Har rang raaṫaa man raam gun gaavæ. Imbued with the Lord’s Love, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ਮੁਕਤੋੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰੀ ਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ मुकतुो साधू धूरी नावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Mukṫo saaḋʰoo ḋʰooree naavæ. ||1|| rahaa▫o. They are liberated, bathing in the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||1||Pause|| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥ गुर परसादी उतरे पारि ॥ Gur parsaadee uṫré paar. By Guru’s Grace, they are carried across to the other shore; ਭਉ ਭਰਮੁ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥ भउ भरमु बिनसे बिकार ॥ Bʰa▫o bʰaram binsé bikaar. they are rid of fear, doubt and corruption. ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨਾ ॥ मन तन अंतरि बसे गुर चरना ॥ Man ṫan anṫar basé gur charnaa. The Guru’s Feet abide deep within their minds and bodies. ਨਿਰਭੈ ਸਾਧ ਪਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਨਾ ॥੨॥ निरभै साध परे हरि सरना ॥२॥ Nirbʰæ saaḋʰ paré har sarnaa. ||2|| The Holy are fearless; they take to the Sanctuary of the Lord. ||2|| ਦੁਸਮਨੁ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਨੇਰੇ ॥ दुसमनु दूखु न आवै नेरे ॥ Ḋusman ḋookʰ na aavæ néré. Enemies and pains do not even approach them. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੩॥ हरि नामु जपत किलबिख सभि लाथे ॥३॥ Har naam japaṫ kilbikʰ sabʰ laaṫʰé. ||3|| Chanting the Lord’s Name, they are rid of all their sins. ||3|| ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥ गुरि पूरै अपुने करि राखे ॥ Gur pooræ apuné kar raakʰé. The Perfect Guru makes them His Own, and protects them. ਅਨਦ ਸਹਜ ਰਸ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥ अनद सहज रस सूख घनेरे ॥ Anaḋ sahj ras sookʰ gʰanéré. They are blessed with abundant bliss, happiness, pleasure and peace. ਸੰਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸਿਖ ਭਏ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥ संत साजन सिख भए सुहेले ॥ Sanṫ saajan sikʰ bʰa▫é suhélé. The Saints, spiritual companions and Sikhs are exalted and uplifted. ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਲੈ ਮੇਲੇ ॥ गुरि पूरै प्रभ सिउ लै मेले ॥ Gur pooræ parabʰ si▫o læ mélé. The Perfect Guru leads them to meet God. ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਫਾਹਾ ਕਾਟਿਆ ॥ जनम मरन दुख फाहा काटिआ ॥ Janam maran ḋukʰ faahaa kaati▫aa. The painful noose of death and rebirth is snapped. ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੜਦਾ ਢਾਕਿਆ ॥੪॥੮॥ कहु नानक गुरि पड़दा ढाकिआ ॥४॥८॥ Kaho Naanak gur paṛ▫ḋaa dʰaaki▫aa. ||4||8|| Says Nanak, the Guru covers their faults. ||4||8||
