ਵੈਸਾਖਿ ਧੀਰਨਿ ਕਿਉ ਵਾਢੀਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹੁ ॥ वैसाखि धीरनि किउ वाढीआ जिना प्रेम बिछोहु ॥ vaisākẖ ḏẖīran ki▫o vādẖī▫ā jinā parem bicẖẖohu. In the month of Vaisaakh, how can the bride be patient? She is separated from her Beloved. ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹੁ ॥ हरि साजनु पुरखु विसारि कै लगी माइआ धोहु ॥ Har sājan purakẖ visār kai lagī mā▫i▫ā ḏẖohu. She has forgotten the Lord, her Life-companion, her Master; she has become attached to Maya, the deceitful one. ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਧਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ਓਹੁ ॥ पुत्र कलत्र न संगि धना हरि अविनासी ओहु ॥ Puṯar kalṯar na sang ḏẖanā har avināsī oh. Neither son, nor spouse, nor wealth shall go along with you-only the Eternal Lord. ਪਲਚਿ ਪਲਚਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਮੁਈ ਝੂਠੈ ਧੰਧੈ ਮੋਹੁ ॥ पलचि पलचि सगली मुई झूठै धंधै मोहु ॥ Palacẖ palacẖ saglī mu▫ī jẖūṯẖai ḏẖanḏẖai moh. Entangled and enmeshed in the love of false occupations, the whole world is perishing. ਇਕਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਗੈ ਲਈਅਹਿ ਖੋਹਿ ॥ इकसु हरि के नाम बिनु अगै लईअहि खोहि ॥ Ikas har ke nām bin agai la▫ī▫ah kẖohi. Without the Naam, the Name of the One Lord, they lose their lives in the hereafter. ਦਯੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਵਿਗੁਚਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ दयु विसारि विगुचणा प्रभ बिनु अवरु न कोइ ॥ Ḏa▫yu visār vigucẖṇā parabẖ bin avar na ko▫e. Forgetting the Merciful Lord, they are ruined. Without God, there is no other at all. ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਚਰਣੀ ਜੋ ਲਗੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥ प्रीतम चरणी जो लगे तिन की निरमल सोइ ॥ Parīṯam cẖarṇī jo lage ṯin kī nirmal so▫e. Pure is the reputation of those who are attached to the Feet of the Beloved Lord. ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥ नानक की प्रभ बेनती प्रभ मिलहु परापति होइ ॥ Nānak kī parabẖ benṯī parabẖ milhu parāpaṯ ho▫e. Nanak makes this prayer to God: "Please, come and unite me with Yourself". ਵੈਸਾਖੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਤਾਂ ਲਗੈ ਜਾ ਸੰਤੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥ वैसाखु सुहावा तां लगै जा संतु भेटै हरि सोइ ॥३॥ vaisākẖ suhāvā ṯāʼn lagai jā sanṯ bẖetai har so▫e. ||3|| The month of Vaisaakh is beautiful and pleasant, when the Saint causes me to meet the Lord. ||3||
