ਤਾ ਕਾ ਕਹਿਆ ਦਰਿ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ ता का कहिआ दरि परवाणु ॥ Ŧā kā kahi▫ā ḏar parvāṇ. What he says is approved in the Court of the Lord. ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ प्रभाती महला १ ॥ Parbẖāṯī mėhlā 1. Prabhaatee, First Mehl: ਬਿਖੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਦੁਇ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ बिखु अम्रितु दुइ सम करि जाणु ॥१॥ Bikẖ amriṯ ḏu▫e sam kar jāṇ. ||1|| He looks upon poison and nectar as one and the same. ||1|| ਕਿਆ ਕਹੀਐ ਸਰਬੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ किआ कहीऐ सरबे रहिआ समाइ ॥ Ki▫ā kahī▫ai sarbe rahi▫ā samā▫e. What can I say? You are permeating and pervading all. ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जो किछु वरतै सभ तेरी रजाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jo kicẖẖ varṯai sabẖ ṯerī rajā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o. Whatever happens, is all by Your Will. ||1||Pause|| ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਚੂਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ प्रगटी जोति चूका अभिमानु ॥ Pargatī joṯ cẖūkā abẖimān. The Divine Light shines radiantly, and egotistical pride is dispelled. ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੨॥ सतिगुरि दीआ अम्रित नामु ॥२॥ Saṯgur ḏī▫ā amriṯ nām. ||2|| The True Guru bestows the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2|| ਕਲਿ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ कलि महि आइआ सो जनु जाणु ॥ Kal mėh ā▫i▫ā so jan jāṇ. In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, one's birth is approved, ਸਾਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵੈ ਮਾਣੁ ॥੩॥ साची दरगह पावै माणु ॥३॥ Sācẖī ḏargėh pāvai māṇ. ||3|| if one is honored in the True Court. ||3|| ਕਹਣਾ ਸੁਨਣਾ ਅਕਥ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਇ ॥ कहणा सुनणा अकथ घरि जाइ ॥ Kahṇā sunṇā akath gẖar jā▫e. Speaking and listening, one goes to the Celestial Home of the Indescribable Lord. ਕਥਨੀ ਬਦਨੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਲਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥੫॥ कथनी बदनी नानक जलि जाइ ॥४॥५॥ Kathnī baḏnī Nānak jal jā▫e. ||4||5|| Mere words of mouth, O Nanak, are burnt away. ||4||5||
