ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨ ॥ माझ महला ५ घरु २ ॥ Mājẖ mėhlā 5 gẖar 2. Maajh, Fifth Mehl, Second House: ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਦਯੁ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ ॥ नित नित दयु समालीऐ ॥ Niṯ niṯ ḏa▫yu samālī▫ai. Continually, continuously, remember the Merciful Lord. ਜਿਤੁ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਪੰਥਿ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ॥ जितु जम कै पंथि न जाईऐ ॥ Jiṯ jam kai panth na jā▫ī▫ai. and you shall not have to go down the path of Death. ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਮਨਹੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ मूलि न मनहु विसारीऐ ॥ रहाउ ॥ Mūl na manhu visārī▫ai. Rahā▫o. Never forget Him from your mind. ||Pause|| ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ संता संगति पाईऐ ॥ Sanṯā sangaṯ pā▫ī▫ai. Join the Society of the Saints, ਤੋਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੁਲਹਿ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗਾਲਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ तोसा हरि का नामु लै तेरे कुलहि न लागै गालि जीउ ॥१॥ Ŧosā har kā nām lai ṯere kulėh na lāgai gāl jī▫o. ||1|| Take the Provisions of the Lord's Name with you, and no stain shall attach itself to your family. ||1|| ਜੋ ਸਿਮਰੰਦੇ ਸਾਂਈਐ ॥ जो सिमरंदे सांईऐ ॥ Jo simranḏe sāʼn▫ī▫ai. Those who meditate on the Master ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਸੇਈ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ नरकि न सेई पाईऐ ॥ Narak na se▫ī pā▫ī▫ai. shall not be thrown down into hell. ਤਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਆਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ तती वाउ न लगई जिन मनि वुठा आइ जीउ ॥२॥ Ŧaṯī vā▫o na lag▫ī jin man vuṯẖā ā▫e jī▫o. ||2|| Even the hot winds shall not touch them. The Lord has come to dwell within their minds. ||2|| ਸੇਈ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੋਹਣੇ ॥ सेई सुंदर सोहणे ॥ Se▫ī sunḏar sohṇe. They alone are beautiful and attractive, ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਸੰਜਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ हरि धनु जिनी संजिआ सेई ग्मभीर अपार जीउ ॥३॥ Har ḏẖan jinī sanji▫ā se▫ī gambẖīr apār jī▫o. ||3|| Those who have gathered in the wealth of the Lord's Name-they alone are deep and thoughtful and vast. ||3|| ਹਰਿ ਅਮਿਉ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਪੀਵੀਐ ॥ हरि अमिउ रसाइणु पीवीऐ ॥ Har ami▫o rasā▫iṇ pīvī▫ai. Drink in the Ambrosial Essence of the Name, ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਨ ਬੈਹਣੇ ॥ साधसंगि जिन बैहणे ॥ Sāḏẖsang jin baihṇe. who abide in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ਮੁਹਿ ਡਿਠੈ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਜੀਵੀਐ ॥ मुहि डिठै जन कै जीवीऐ ॥ Muhi diṯẖai jan kai jīvī▫ai. and live by beholding the face of the Lord's servant. ਕਾਰਜ ਸਭਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਲੈ ਨਿਤ ਪੂਜਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਵ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥ कारज सभि सवारि लै नित पूजहु गुर के पाव जीउ ॥४॥ Kāraj sabẖ savār lai niṯ pūjahu gur ke pāv jī▫o. ||4|| Let all your affairs be resolved, by continually worshipping the Feet of the Guru. ||4|| ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਪਣਾ ॥ जो हरि कीता आपणा ॥ Jo har kīṯā āpṇā. Whom the Lord has made His Own. ਤਿਨਹਿ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਜਾਪਣਾ ॥ तिनहि गुसाई जापणा ॥ Ŧinėh gusā▫ī jāpṇā. he alone meditates on the Lord of the World. ਸੋ ਸੂਰਾ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ਸੋ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਦੈ ਭਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥ सो सूरा परधानु सो मसतकि जिस दै भागु जीउ ॥५॥ So sūrā parḏẖān so masṯak jis ḏai bẖāg jī▫o. ||5|| He alone is a warrior, and he alone is the chosen one, upon whose forehead good destiny is recorded. ||5|| ਮਨ ਮੰਧੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਵਗਾਹੀਆ ॥ मन मंधे प्रभु अवगाहीआ ॥ Man manḏẖe parabẖ avgāhī▫ā. Within my mind, I meditate on God. ਮੰਦਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਤਰੇ ਸਚੀ ਕਾਰੈ ਲਾਗਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥ मंदा मूलि न उपजिओ तरे सची कारै लागि जीउ ॥६॥ Manḏā mūl na upji▫o ṯare sacẖī kārai lāg jī▫o. ||6|| Evil does not well up within me, since I am saved, and dedicated to truthful actions. ||6|| ਏਹਿ ਰਸ ਭੋਗਣ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀਆ ॥ एहि रस भोगण पातिसाहीआ ॥ Ėhi ras bẖogaṇ pāṯisāhī▫ā. For me, this is like the enjoyment of princely pleasures. ਕਰਤਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥ करता मंनि वसाइआ ॥ Karṯā man vasā▫i▫ā. I have enshrined the Creator within my mind; ਜਨਮੈ ਕਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ जनमै का फलु पाइआ ॥ Janmai kā fal pā▫i▫ā. I have obtained the fruits of life's rewards. ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੰਦਾ ਕੰਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਹੋਆ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੭॥ मनि भावंदा कंतु हरि तेरा थिरु होआ सोहागु जीउ ॥७॥ Man bẖāvanḏā kanṯ har ṯerā thir ho▫ā sohāg jī▫o. ||7|| If your Husband Lord is pleasing to your mind, then your married life shall be eternal. ||7|| ਅਟਲ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ अटल पदारथु पाइआ ॥ Atal paḏārath pā▫i▫ā. I have obtained everlasting wealth; ਭੈ ਭੰਜਨ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਇਆ ॥ भै भंजन की सरणाइआ ॥ Bẖai bẖanjan kī sarṇā▫i▫ā. I have found the Sanctuary of the Dispeller of fear. ਲਾਇ ਅੰਚਲਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾਰਿਅਨੁ ਜਿਤਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੀਉ ॥੮॥੪॥੩੮॥ लाइ अंचलि नानक तारिअनु जिता जनमु अपार जीउ ॥८॥४॥३८॥ Lā▫e ancẖal Nānak ṯāri▫an jiṯā janam apār jī▫o. ||8||4||38|| Grasping hold of the hem of the Lord's robe, Nanak is saved. He has won the incomparable life. ||8||4||38||
