ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਇਵ ਤੇਰੀ ਤਿਖਾ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਜੇ ਸਉ ਕਰਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥ बाबीहा इव तेरी तिखा न उतरै जे सउ करहि पुकार ॥ Bābīhā iv ṯerī ṯikẖā na uṯrai je sa▫o karahi pukār. O rainbird, this is not the way to quench your thirst, even though you may cry out a hundred times. ਮਃ ੩ ॥ मः ३ ॥ Mėhlā 3. Third Mehl: ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਹਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ॥੨॥ नानक साहिबु मनि वसै विचहु जाहि विकार ॥२॥ Nānak sāhib man vasai vicẖahu jāhi vikār. ||2|| O Nanak, when the Lord and Master abides in the mind, corruption and evil leave from within. ||2|| ਨਦਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਦਰੀ ਉਪਜੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ नदरी सतिगुरु पाईऐ नदरी उपजै पिआरु ॥ Naḏrī saṯgur pā▫ī▫ai naḏrī upjai pi▫ār. By God's Grace, the True Guru is found; by His Grace, love wells up. ਇਕਿ ਜੈਨੀ ਉਝੜ ਪਾਇ ਧੁਰਹੁ ਖੁਆਇਆ ॥ इकि जैनी उझड़ पाइ धुरहु खुआइआ ॥ Ik jainī ujẖaṛ pā▫e ḏẖarahu kẖu▫ā▫i▫ā. Some are Jains, wasting their time in the wilderness; by their pre-ordained destiny, they are ruined. ਤਿਨ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਇਆ ॥ तिन मुखि नाही नामु न तीरथि न्हाइआ ॥ Ŧin mukẖ nāhī nām na ṯirath nĥā▫i▫ā. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is not on their lips; they do not bathe at sacred shrines of pilgrimage.
