ਅਤੁਲੁ ਕਿਉ ਤੋਲੀਐ ਵਿਣੁ ਤੋਲੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ अतुलु किउ तोलीऐ विणु तोले पाइआ न जाइ ॥ Aṯul ki▫o ṯolī▫ai viṇ ṯole pā▫i▫ā na jā▫e. How can the unweighable be weighed? Without weighing Him, He cannot be obtained. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਐ ਗੁਣ ਮਹਿ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ गुर कै सबदि वीचारीऐ गुण महि रहै समाइ ॥ Gur kai sabaḏ vīcẖārī▫ai guṇ mėh rahai samā▫e. Reflect on the Word of the Guru's Shabad, and immerse yourself in His Glorious Virtues. ਅਪਣਾ ਆਪੁ ਆਪਿ ਤੋਲਸੀ ਆਪੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥ अपणा आपु आपि तोलसी आपे मिलै मिलाइ ॥ Apṇā āp āp ṯolsī āpe milai milā▫e. He Himself weighs Himself; He unites in Union with Himself. ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਨਾ ਪਵੈ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ तिस की कीमति ना पवै कहणा किछू न जाइ ॥ Ŧis kī kīmaṯ nā pavai kahṇā kicẖẖū na jā▫e. His value cannot be estimated; nothing can be said about this. ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਚੀ ਬੂਝ ਦਿਤੀ ਬੁਝਾਇ ॥ हउ बलिहारी गुर आपणे जिनि सची बूझ दिती बुझाइ ॥ Ha▫o balihārī gur āpṇe jin sacẖī būjẖ ḏiṯī bujẖā▫e. I am a sacrifice to my Guru; He has made me realize this true realization. ਜਗਤੁ ਮੁਸੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੁਟੀਐ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥ जगतु मुसै अम्रितु लुटीऐ मनमुख बूझ न पाइ ॥ Jagaṯ musai amriṯ lūtī▫ai manmukẖ būjẖ na pā▫e. The world has been deceived, and the Ambrosial Nectar is being plundered. The self-willed manmukh does not realize this. ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਚਲਸੀ ਜਾਸੀ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥ विणु नावै नालि न चलसी जासी जनमु गवाइ ॥ viṇ nāvai nāl na cẖalsī jāsī janam gavā▫e. Without the Name, nothing will go along with him; he wastes his life, and departs. ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਜਾਗੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਘਰੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਦੂਤਾ ਕਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਨ ਵਸਾਇ ॥੮॥ गुरमती जागे तिन्ही घरु रखिआ दूता का किछु न वसाइ ॥८॥ Gurmaṯī jāge ṯinĥī gẖar rakẖi▫ā ḏūṯā kā kicẖẖ na vasā▫e. ||8|| Those who follow the Guru's Teachings and remain awake and aware, preserve and protect the home of their heart; demons have no power against them. ||8||
